We had a very positive experience with AZ Hardwood Floor Services. I did a ton of research before hiring them and the effort paid off. The context of our situation was that another contractor had royally screwed up our floors and we needed to re-sand and re-finish the hardwood. There are very few ways to make an entire house unlivable and a bad contractor using cheap products on the floors is one of them. Just trust me on this, do not go cheap on the polyurethane finish material. Go with the premium water based product. AZ can help you choose the best one for you. I found AZ in the NWFA (National Wood Flooring Association) list of certified professionals. I absolutely had to make sure that I was hiring a real professional and the best contractors self-select into NWFA certification because of rigorous training requirements. AZ also checked all other boxes. They had high-end dustless sanding equipment, certification from leading vendors of flooring products (Bona, Loba, etc), ongoing training, many years of experience, and a very competitive price point. The one thing that struck me about Moises, the owner of AZ was his dedication to his craft. It’s hard to find contractors who strive for excellence in this day and age. In summary, good people doing going work for a really good price.

Moises did a spectacular job on refinishing the floors in our mid-century house. Our house originally was half covered with carpet and we had previously refinished the non-carpeted part of the house. Recently, we decided to get the carpet removed and refinish the rest of the hardwood. The difference between the work Moises did and the other company is very apparent. Moises' work is spectacular and his attention to detail is excellent. Our floors look smooth, would never know these floors were 70 years old, they look practically new!

We are extremely happy with the job Moises, the owner of AZ Hardwood Floor Services, did to refinish our old wood floors. Moises is a Certified Professional with the National Wood Flooring Association, and a Certified Sander and Finisher. There are not many people as qualified as Moises is to do wood floors. He and his brother completed all of the work themselves, and they did an amazing job. We were initially concerned that despite using a dustless system there still might be some dust. Upon completion of the job we can very happily say there was NO DUST left behind in our house whatsoever. The price was reasonable, the quality of the work was fantastic. We now have stunningly beautiful wood floors.

Moises and his associate did a superb job on my 18-year old floors. There were stains from pet noses that needed extra attention and they removed them all. They look like when we moved in. They are exceptionally professional, very clean, and extraordinarily reasonable in price. Do not hesitate to engage AZ Hardwood Floors Services.

You get a lot of Value with Moises and his crew. They did a great job refinishing and staining a very poorly refinished floor for a house we just bought. He also removed damaged pet stained wood and replaced them with new hardwood for a very reasonable price. They remove everything necessary to make sure all the floors are sanded in every spot and nothing was missed. We got 3 samples plus a natural sample. The crew started Monday and was finished on Friday, Moises came back Saturday to take care of some minor trim work that I pointed out to him at no additional cost. He's polite, professional and on time. When selecting a contractor I sent out a bunch of emails. Moises was the first to reply and was always readily available for questions. I'm very happy with his services.

I am a realtor and have been working with the company for the past five years. AZ Hardwood Floors Services is the only wood floor professional that I use. The prices are excellent and the quality of the work is outstanding. We recently worked together on a two story home; they refinished the first and second floor and installed quarter round molding. They showed up on time, are trustworthy, and the project was completed on time. What I like most about the company is they primarily use water-based products rather than oil-based, so there is very little odor and it dries very quickly. Additionally, they use a dustless sanding system so there is very little dust that gets generated as a result. I have been using this company for years and highly recommend them.

We hired Moises and crew after a previous contractor tried and failed multiple times to refinish our wood floors. We brought in Moises and he immediately set out a plan to correct the previous debacle and provide us exactly the look we wanted. He was familiar with the products we had researched, and his crew was trained and certified to handle the complex application. What a difference! Moises and his crew were complete professionals, extremely tidy, and took incredible pride in their work. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the floors. Even after they had applied the stain and finish we agreed upon, when the color of the floors on the first floor (original wood) to the stairs and floor upstairs (new wood) - caused by the variance in the wood installed by our main contractor and nothing that could have been prevented by AZ Hardwood - they were willing to experiment with another mix of colors to get them to match. The results were exquisite and a true testament to Moises and his colleagues. We could not be happier with the process or quality of the work. We would highly recommend them to others . . . in fact we already have!
