We worked with Barna Building Contractors to build our home from the ground up, and we are so grateful for our experience. We received a recommendation to talk with Mik as we were pursuing a custom home build. From our first meeting we clicked-Mik took our ideas and helped turn them into reality. The entire Barna team is passionate about what they do and it shows in every detail. From the beginning stages to the very end of completion, the Barna team exceeded our expectations. Each team member is extremely professional and made us feel so comfortable in what can be a nerve-wracking process. They were always available and willing to answer questions and help us make decisions on our home. I can truly say that their quality of work is the best of the best. Every single detail is done to perfection and the finished product is better than we ever could have imagined. Thank you to Mik, Mickey, Tony and the rest of the Barna team for building us our dream home.

My husband and I worked with Barna Building Contractors for our home remodel (an addition, multiple bathrooms, kitchen, decks, hardwood flooring). The Barna team members are professional, courteous, arrive prepared, and on time for scheduled appointments. Mik communicates often, and in detail about project status, and was always available to answer any questions we had. Most important, the Barna team’s attention to the smallest detail and the quality of their work is unequalled. Our project turned out beyond our imagination. If you are considering Barna Building Contractors, and want to work with craftsmen, and genuinely nice, trustworthy people, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

After a devastating fire completely gutted our historic Inn (which dates back to 1734) we had our first interview with Mik Barna and knew immediately that there was no need to look any further. In under 10 months, Mik and his crew transformed what seemed to be a complete loss into a prized showcase - they are true craftsmen in every sense of the word. There was great attention paid to the intricate details of such an old, historic building. They had abundant knowledge of the architectural time period, while allowing the building to function as a modern day establishment. Mik and his entire team proved to be innovative and creative in every way! Barna Building Contractors was able to completely restore The Sergeantsville Inn to its former glory and more. Mik Barna is a master craftsman who built my vaulted art studio. He installed four 8’ x 3’ skylights, renovated my kitchen, and finished respectfully on time and on budget. Mik’s trustworthy values and warm personality along with his reliable and professional subcontractors built the most important room in my life with care and consideration to my detailed requests. Truly a gem not often found theses days.

Mik Barna constructed our home -- a large and complex project in a town that posed some unique regulatory challenges. Mik delivered a beautifully constructed house on-time and on-budget, despite these challenges. His workmanship is excellent, he is a pleasure to work with personally and is trustworthy. Since the construction was completed, he has been readily available to answer questions and for any follow up work. We have engaged 4 contractors over the years for various projects and Mik was far and away the best of a generally good group. Were we to embark on another project, we would unequivocally ask Mik Barna to complete it for us. Mik truly takes pride in his work and it is reflected in every facet of his business. He receives an A+!

Could not be happier with our complete kitchen renovation and expansion. We have lived in our new kitchen for more than a year and are still awestruck. Mik was wonderful to deal with and the entire crew could not have been more helpful, hard-working and polite. Mik also arranged for great, local subs for electric and plumbing. Previously Barna Builders renovated our baths. Also very pleased with that work. While our's was a relatively small job (not to us though), if you want to see a larger scale project, stop at the Sergeantsville Inn, completely rebuilt by Mik and crew after the fire. Highly recommended for the highest quality of work.

Mik Barna is a pleasure to work with. "Old school values". He does what he says he is going to do, when it is supposed to be done! He is more than willing to step in and give a hand id needed. Mik's crew have the same values as Mik. As a cabinetmaker, I come in near the end of a project and I can see the quality of Mik's work from the foundation to the finish trim work. Mik takes responcibility for the entire project and makes sure everything is done right, no excuses. When you have expierece, you know you have to adapt to certain situations. How someone adapts clearly shows how good they are. I have seen Mik adapt and turn a difficult situation in a succesfully completed project. I would recommend Mik Barna to anyone who wants a project competed successfully.
