Berkeley Interiors is a residential interior design, decoration and styling studio, run by designer Gabrielle Reinhardt. Berkeley Interiors’ work is known for its colourful, eclectic style and combining quality and authentic finishes, textiles, furniture, and art to tell the story of those who live there. Gabrielle has completed renovations in conjunction with builders and architects but also enjoys working on decoration and furnishing projects and applies the same attention to detail no matter the size of the project or budget. Berkeley Interiors has a wide range of trusted suppliers and supports sustainable and authentic design, local makers and manufacturers. Gabrielle has the added advantage of access to a family run manufacturing workshop for sofas, bedheads and bespoke furniture, run by her husband Paul. Based in Brisbane, Berkeley Interiors has completed projects throughout Brisbane, Noosa and interstate and assisted overseas clients via zoom.

We were looking for someone who could give our home a facelift and Gabrielle successfully fulfilled the challenge. Through her keen eye for colour and quality, our home is now warm and inviting whilst still functional. She considered our tastes and lifestyle and regularly communicated with us throughout the process. To complement the facelift, Gabrielle recommended places to shop for other accessories to match the changes she made. We would highly recommend Gabrielle

Gabrielle is a talented designer who has an eye for detail and quality. She embraced my ideas and nailed the brief which was no easy feat: eclectic, patterns, mix of textures, colour and personality but yet still a calm and cosy place to sleep. I wasn’t sure how to make this a reality but she delivered a beautiful room and a calming space for us to retreat and rest. The room looks like it belongs in a boutique hotel yet still feels like “us”. I highly recommend Gabrielle if you are seeking quality, long lasting finishes and pieces and beautiful designs.

Gabrielle was everything we were looking for and more, she understood the complex balance between style and budget. The design is not only beautiful but very practical for a working household. Her professional advice was so invaluable and her communication and follow up second to none! Our kitchen and laundry renovation went so well that we are planning to ask her to perform miracles on the rest of the house!

Highly recommend Gabrielle. I only had a small commercial job and I wasn't sure if she would even take it on. Well she did and the results are excellent. I knew when I wanted a pink theme in my clinic that I would need a professional to collaborate so as it was done in a tasteful manner. I found her on instagram and loved her work! Gabe incorporated my love for vintage finds with a classic look and as a result has tastefully decorated our family home. She brought my vision to life with beautiful designer textiles, furniture and decorative pieces. She also helped me design (and organise!) my dream walk-in-robe I still walk through the door every evening and can't believe this is our house. We couldn't be happier Thank you Gabrielle!!

Home styling

Gabrielle helped me style my Brisbane home for the real estate market. She was an absolute whizz. Her ideas and artistic creative flair for styling was nothing short of amazing. Gabe is so efficient , organized and gets the job done in a seemingly effortless way. I honestly do not know what I would have done without her support in getting my home to market and sold!!

I engaged Gabrielle to improve the interior and functionality of a few rooms in our Queenslander. We were limited in space, however, she managed to create a lovely and liveable dining and living room along with turning the sunroom that wasn’t really being used into an amazing playroom for our daughter. Would highly recommend, she went above and beyond sourcing different pieces of furniture and décor for us to choose from. Now the rooms flow much better and are much more practicable and functionable. Gabrielle was very approachable and involved throughout the whole process.

I approached Gabrielle to help furnish and style my first home as I’d seen some of the other projects she’d worked on previously and thought they looked not only beautiful but also very practical. During our initial consultation Gabrielle took the time to understand the looks and styles I loved and this was evident in the concept boards she presented back to me. Not only did Gabrielle incorporate my desire to use Australian designed and manufactured pieces wherever possible, the concepts she presented to me catered to my taste preferences perfectly. The presentation was very comprehensive and allowed me to visualise exactly how my space was going to look. Gabrielle was always available to answer any questions I had throughout the process and organised everything through to installation and styling. Having been living in my new home for a while now I can honestly say that Gabrielle has created a space which I love coming home to each day and it’s a credit to her skillset, hard work and dedication. I cannot recommend Gabrielle highly enough!

I approached Berkeley Interiors because I loved the projects I had seen on Houzz and Instagram. Each space had a relaxed aesthetic that felt warm but unique. While I had most key pieces of furniture in my home, each room felt flat and I was struggling to achieve the look I wanted. Gabrielle helped me by working with what I had and introducing colour and depth to each space. The result was something I could not have achieved myself. Each room has been completely transformed. One thing I liked was Gabrielle’s ability to recognise what suited my style but then challenge me to step a little out of my comfort zone, particularly with colour and pattern. Gabrielle was also very patient, working to my timeline. I found the process to be extremely enjoyable, am so grateful for Gabrielle’s knowledge and expertise and very pleased with the result.

As a marketing consultant it was wonderful to have the opportunity to work with Berkeley Interiors and a mutual client who is a joinery supplier to leading architectural firms and bespoke builders in SE Qld. As the interior design consultant Gabrielle did an exceptional job in helping our client translate their new brand identity into an interior design style for their new showroom that was true to their brand essence. She really understood the nuances and leanings of the client and gave great recommendations to demonstrate their sustainability, craftsmanship and values. The result is a professional and unique showroom and office that is inviting, distinctive and abounds in eco-friendliness.
