Since 1983, Dean Bjorkstrand Inc. has created countless beautiful outdoor environments for homes in the Twin Cities area. We take pride in our superior design and installation services, where professionalism and practicality balance aesthetics and inspiration. Owner and Founder Dean Bjorkstrand will personally guide you through all aspects of your project. He brings 34 years of experience to help with you with design, installation, budget, and planning. Your ideas and suggestions are heard, we collaborate with our clients to produce a landscape that we can both be proud of. Dean helped us with repairing our landscaping due to water damage. Dean always responded to my questions and had great ideas along the way! His crew was very efficient and friendly! I would definitely use Dean for my future landscaping needs!

I had an issue with water drainage from my sump pump that I needed to deal with. I had four contractors give me their opinion on how to deal with the issue. Each solution was different, and I was not excited about any of them. Dean came out an proposed a solution that was reasonable and cost effective. The work was done and I am so pleased as how it is working. It is functional and pleasing to the eye.

Love Dean! He is kind, courteous, professional and he listens. He totally heard everything I said about design preference, budget concern, and schedule of installation. We love our new backyard!

I called Dean to "reimagine" a water feature in my backyard that I hated. He responded to my inquiry quickly. He was on time when he came to look at my yard. He listened and came back with two options. His crew was great. And I absolutely love what he did! Somehow he took my rather vague idea of what I wanted and made exactly what I wanted! It is beautiful and the sound is so relaxing. I couldn't ask for more.

Patio installation was flawless and looks amazing! Dean also did my front brick sidewalk which is still in perfect condition after all these years. You won't find a better patio design and installation!

I appreciated Dean's promptness and communication along the way from initial meeting to photos/renderings and bid to work completion. The stone block retaining wall looks great in the front of the house - his team did a great job on that. Landscape grading - I am really pleased with the grading in the front and back. The rolling hills in front are gone and it's a good natural slope. This area was tricky given the slope of the yard and trees but his team found a way to get to it and make it look great. The crew was very polite and considerate. That goes a long way and I appreciated that! I'll be calling Dean back for follow-up work as my budget allows.

Dean designed a patio and garden for me, and I couldn't be happier with the result. He is lovely to work with and kept my preferences in mind. The crew that installed the patio and garden was professional and left a spotless workspace. The design and installation was accomplished in a very timely manner. I highly recommend him.

Dean redid my whole front yard and recommended appropriate plantings. I was very pleased with his selections, he presented a drawing of his ideas and made it easy for me to visualize what the end result would look like. I've been very pleased with the result. He's also followed up with any questions i"ve had.

We did a major backyard pool project last year and soon realized we needed landscape help! Realizing that the landscaping was somewhat of an "afterthought", Dean really came through for us. His recommendations, options to stay within our budget and advice on what we could do vs. what a professional should do to stay within that budget... well let's just say it speaks highly to his character. We could not be happier with the pool and our backyard. It is truly an escape for us. I highly recommend contacting Dean for your next landscaping project as well.

We hired Dean for our patio and landscaping project and could not be happier. Dean did a great job communicating with us from start to finish and had great recommendations and a vision for the project that we had not heard or seen from other companies. Dean was so easy to work with. He bent over backward to get my project in before the big high school grad party. It's beautiful and 8 months later I'm calling with maintenance questions and he's all ears. I'm still his customer even though our project was " in the books" long ago.
