Bonsai create beautiful, desirable spaces. We are experienced project specialists with an incredible selection of products, manufacturing & design expertise and a deep knowledge base. We have a passion for quality craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail and all things beautiful in design. Over the years we have honed our skills as joinery manufacturers, specialist contractors, project coordinators and designers. This unique skill set and broad experience inform every product selection and design decision that we reach with our clients and really sets us apart. Our successful track record is built on relationships. Whether the project is large or small, private or commercial, we endeavour to provide our clients with much more than just a great collection of products and services. We are a sounding board for ideas, a highly competent technical resource and an experienced partner on a prospective client’s journey. Bonsai started life in 2001 as installers of high end, hand-finished bespoke timber floors. Timber expertise remains at the heart of an operation that has expanded to a collection of Guernsey-based showrooms, a joinery shop, a uniquely varied product portfolio and a long list of very happy private and commercial customers.

We supply product and do projects in the Channel Islands and parts of the UK. Our diverse portfolio includes entrance doors, glazing and decking to floor coverings, panelling, joinery and much more. Our joinery shop manufactures everything from staircases to fine furniture and we have an online shop where customers can buy a range of interesting items. Our clients may use our individual offerings in isolation or have us group them together to suit their requirements.

As a client we felt totally taken care of and supported by the combination of our interior designer, Stine Holmes, and the Team at Bonsai. From our original brief which sought to provide a space that enhanced and complimented the naturally derived products of our Aveda Beauty Range, the bespoke wood furniture and flooring has been brilliantly designed, built and fitted, totally exceeding our expectations.

We had our rotten sliding sash windows replaced with double glazed timber windows from Bonsai just before Christmas . They have made a tremendous difference to the house which is considerably less draughty. They look teriffic and we have had many compliments from passers by. The team were great to work with and have done an extremely professional job. As well as replacing the windows, the plasterwork around the openings needed to be completely stripped and redone and the overall effect looks even better than the original. I would have no hesitation in recommending the team at Bonsai.

Having used Bonsai for a few projects over the years time and again Matt and the the team deliver beautiful workmanship with an eye for detail that really sets them apart. The zebrano wood panelling looks the part and perfectly matches the doors we had made a few years ago.

We have been very happy with Bonsai's solid oak flooring, which they fitted across the whole of our ground floor about five years ago. We recently had them back to sand and re-oil one of the heaviest-use areas in the kitchen, which now looks just like new! We are very pleased. We find their craftsmanship and attention to detail second to none.

I had been struggling to get a large floor to ceiling bookcase built that would take all my books, leave some panels open for my artwork and fit with the contemporary look of the house. Leigh Taylor from Bonsai understood exactly what I wanted, put together a fantastic design which was then built to an exceptionally smooth and quality finish. All seamlessly executed on time and to budget. I'm looking forward to my next project with Bonsai.

We just love it. We spend far more time at the back of the house as its an extremely pleasant place to be. Even though we’re in a built-up area its a very peaceful and restful place. We’ve been very pleased with the service from Bonsai and the fitting team, whilst also appreciating the quality of the lanterns, windows and doors - they really are a different league. We’ve also had so many great comments about the build, and this was always about creating our perfect space. Very happy indeed.

We wanted a more contemporary hue to our oak floor and dining table which were too traditional in appearance but neither of us wanted the expense and inconvenience of replacing the floor or the hassle of choosing a new table. Bonsai immediately came to mind because of their wealth of experience and expertise in refinishing wooden floors. We were impressed with their rapid response to our enquiry and felt confident in their assurances that they would achieve the right finish. They very quickly produced sample boards of different finishes which we were able to take home to compare and contrast the options. This made choosing new finishes for the floor and table very easy. We are delighted with the result which we feel has completely transformed the space. The team were very pleasant to deal with and very hard working. We were impressed with Bonsai at every stage and particularly appreciated their flexibility in fitting in with the work schedules of other tradesmen during our kitchen refurbishment. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Bonsai to anyone considering this kind of project.

I've been fortunate enough to use Matt, Lee and the team at Bonsai on a few occasions over the last 8 years on two house renovations and cannot fault the quality of their workmanship and the design input they've brought to each project. I've purchased timber doors, windows. flooring as-well-as interior furnishings, and all, without any doubt have added significantly to the quality of the resulting property. If you're looking for tasteful interior design or some of the finest timber based products available these are people to talk to.
