Annex of PareDown is a brick & mortar store where Jackson meets Dexter and becomes Huron in the Old Westside of Ann Arbor, Michigan. We offer many unique and beautiful items for your home. Our specialties include reworking found pieces into useful and interactive treasures. Providing materials and expertise to help you do the same with your worn and tired furnishings. Basic Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Techniques - $85/2 hr class Learn four basic finishes to achieve beautiful European style antiqued patinas. Come with a desire to have fun and dressed for painting! Leave with all the inspiration needed to upscale your weary furnishing into treasured gems. Brenda is a delight and very talented indeed. Just walking into her shop gives me inspiration and feeds my soul. You can tell from the minute you enter that she has a designers eye that you will be able to trust your home to her.

Brenda is an artist with fabric and needle. She took a down-on-its-luck ottoman, topped it with a fabulous sheath of mid-century fabric and I now own the sharpest little ottoman in town! I can recommend her without reservation. She's pleasant and she's gifted.

Brenda does it all. She has a lovely store filled with new and vintage home furnishings - furniture, fabric, ceramics, paintings and more. These items are arranged in vignettes that illustrate how they can be used in your home. Brenda reupholsters small items, makes pillow covers (and more) and will help you achieve the look you want in your home. In my house, we went through three rooms and, and she gave me her ideas about paint color, rearranging furniture and grouping my ceramics and art work so as to have the maximum visual impact. She understood my style - how I wanted my home to look and feel. I loved her suggestions and used them as a template when choosing paint colors, rugs, accessories and arranging furniture. My home is a "work in progress" and, with Brenda's help, I am confident that it will be the warm and comfortable reflection of who my family and I are and what we love.

This summer I did an upholstery workshop at the Annex. Brenda helped me reupholster a vintage MCM chair from Thayer Coggin. The fabric and padding were in pretty rough shape, but we agreed that the piece had "really good bones." Brenda had a wide range of fabrics for me to select from and she let me take several home to drape over my furniture so I could see how they played with my current furniture and decor. When it came time to actually work on the chair, Brenda was incredibly generous with her materials and expertise. It turned out beautifully. I love going to Brenda's shop to see what new things she has on display. She has a great eye for composition and access to really cool pieces, large and small. I highly recommend Brenda at Annex of Paredown.

Brenda Brown, owner of Annex of paredown, is; Classy and chic, artistic and creative, knowledgeable, and friendly. Also a talented seamstress, creating fashion and furnishings with her original flair and eye for design. (A jacket created by her, several years ago, is the most beautiful piece in my wardrobe). Annex of paredown reflects Brenda's unique style, and is filled with furniture from antique to modern, paintings, decorative items, fabric, pillows, dishes, and more. Theres so much to see in a store of its size and Its definitely worth the time.

Brenda is a "wanna be" decorator's dream come true ! She has been extremely knowledgeable and creative in "building" my house's image for selling in anticipation of my move across country ! She has the ability of giving you the feeling that "brilliant" idea was just what you were thinking! She is very professional, organized, and flexible with working with your schedule. I found Annex of Paredown and Brenda through the Ann Arbor Observer- yet again the source for all things wonderful in A2. I ended up purchasing multiple pieces of unique vintage furniture for a 1950's home, every single piece perfect for the location! Brenda was incredibly helpful, very knowledgable, and clearly enthusiastic about the work she does. Her fabrics are beautiful as well, and she has a great eye for mixing finishes and colors. The shop is filled with useful, timeless, quirky, fun and tasteful home furnishings and decorations. A not to be missed Ann Arbor experience!

Kommenteret: What to do with this huge wall....18ft ceilingsDrop the ceiling fan or replace it with a large lighting fixture. Paint the ceiling the same color as the walls or at least no more than a shade or so lighter. Move the TV further up to get some space...
