Sam was recommended to us by our architect and after the initial meeting, the expectations were clearly outlined and discussed. Because we wanted to make some changes in the management process of the build, Sam was very helpful in getting us to understand what would be involved and assisting us in finding the information we need. Sam was able to quickly adapt his services to any changing requirements. His knowledge of the building process and tips on operational jobs, has helped us manage our owner/builder project, with room for our own input. His answers via email are clear, straight forward and extensive, including in-depth explanations, which helped us to be able to solve the questions ourselves. Sam is able to adapt his services, to any changing requirements Sam is very professional, easy going, flexible and pleasant to work with. We are definitely recommending BuildPartners / Sam Young for any building projects and estimations.

Sam was an absolute professional and great to work with. He was very thorough and identified issues not picked up by other parties in the planning process. He made sure everything was built to plans and acted very quickly with my draftsman, engineers and carpenter to resolve issues. It was a pleasure working with Sam, I'd recommend him highly.

I recently built my first house as an owner builder, from the start Sam was the key piece of the puzzle which allowed me to build my home. From compiling quotes and issuing all the correct documents that were required for the bank (and there were a lot of documents!) and helping me to go into battler with the banks through the valuation process. My build process was so organised that it allowed me to build the home in a very short amount of time and to my amazement and my doubts along the way it came with in 1% of the starting budget that Sam set! Ill just take you word for it on the price for the next one i think!!

Sam is fantastic to work with, very prompt, professional and has a wealth of advice around the building + renovation process. I met Sam through the quoting process for our house renovation, where he worked with us to estimate the cost and scope of our new renovation. His work meant we had the information and confidence to select a builder for our house renovation knowing we wouldn’t have any nasty surprises when it came to cost on the project. Having built twice previously as an owner builder, and having had what I would call an average experience, I was very happy with the approach that Sam had to our project. His attention to detail and the fact that he worked impartially gave me a great deal of confidence that I could trust the quality and cost outcomes. Building projects rarely go smoothly all the way through; Sam was forthcoming with the good, and the bad news (which there will be from time to time) which spoke volumes for his honesty and integrity. He always ensured the problems were dealt with, and three years on, we are still very pleased with the result.

If not for Build Partners, we may never have gone ahead with our build. Our project hit a roadblock when the quotes for our two story extension came back at twice our budget. The 'rough estimate' given by a builder on the architect's concept drawings was wildly inaccurate. The architect accepted responsibility and agreed to re-design the project to reduce cost. We then engaged build Partners to undertake a detailed cost estimate from the new drawings to give us confidence that the new concepts were worth taking further, investing our time and energy into. The estimate from Build Partners was highly accurate and we used it as a tool to negotiate with our builder, who in turn had confidence that they wouldn't lose out. The build is well underway and on-track. I wouldn't hesitate to engage Build Partners early on in my next residential project to ensure that what we were designing was budget appropriate.

Our builder used Sam and buildpartners in the build of our family home. Sam was extremely professional and helpful. Sam does all his hard work upfront, his initial quote was very accurate and supported with detailed quotations from trades. During the build process Sam was prompt in responding to any request for variation schedules and offered his professional opinion were requested by us or our builder. We would recommend Sam and use him again for any future builds.
