I'm an interior designer and use Distinctive Contracting for my clients. This company is among the best I've ever worked with! Their knowledge about and experience with every aspect of home building sets them apart from many contractors. My standards are very high and I am particular about work being done right down to every detail. They share my work ethic and do exceptional work, and are professional, friendly and respectful toward my clients and their homes. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Chad Smith of Distinctive Contracting is the best! He has done several projects for us, ranging from building a gorgeous screened porch and deck that never fail to get compliments, to designing and installing handrails for stairs at our front entrance. The latest project Chad completed for us was designing and installing new countertops, backsplash, and lighting for our kitchen. He has great solutions for potential problems, like modifying an existing cabinet to accommodate a larger built-in oven and modifying our existing, fairly-new dishwasher to work with the new countertops so that we didn't have to buy a new one. Chad uses high-end materials to avoid later problems, and his work is superb. He is more of a perfectionist than even we are as his clients!

I used Distinctive Contracting Services for the installation of a Provia entry door and storm door. Upon contacting the owner, Chad Smith, he was extremely responsive and came to my house in a timely manner and provided me with a detailed cost estimate. The cost quote for door prices and installation was very reasonable and was lower than other local respected companies. Chad is very work conscience and his attention to detail is second to none!! I would probably call him a perfectionist, which is a lost art in today’s world. The project was completed well within the prescribed timeframe and looks fantastic!! Matter of fact, I’ve passed on photos of the doors to family and friends to show them how attractive it looks. I will definitely use Chad and his company for further work projects. In closing, I’d highly recommend Distinctive Contracting Services to others for any/all construction projects.

We hired this company for a bathroom remodel and they did an outstanding job! I can't say enough of how pleased we are. The work entailed tearing out partial wall and adding new: drywall, floor, vanity, sink, toilet, fresh paint, hanging hardware and mirror. Some plumbing and additional outlet was installed. They were very professional, courteous, timely, and met all our needs and demands. They were conscientious with regards to my home and property; and that is a plus for me as I have had other workers do jobs around the house and put dings in walls and hardwood floors. If you want excellent work done, I would call Distinctive Contracting Services!

Distinctive Contracting Services did excellent work. I had a tree fall on my deck damaging part of the railing section, part of the roof on my house and brushing up against the back of my house damaging the screen on the patio door, just to name a few items. They fixed the deck, roof and screen, and also repaired projects around the exterior not damaged by the tree falling, but items which we requested that needed repair. They even uncovered rotting wood under my steps which I would not have seen otherwise, which could have been hazardous to family & friends. They stayed on the job - start to finish - working through the heat and humidity. They answered all our questions and returned phone calls promptly. Their price was great and the job was done to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Distinctive Contracting Services.

Chad repaired/replaced some vinyl siding for me. They did a great job matching. They were professional and quite reasonable. Would definitely use/refer him again.

Chad and Distinctive did a fantastic job on a bathroom remodel job in our home. He and the team worked diligently to meet an important deadline for family visitors. Overall the quality of the work was outstanding and Chad came in exactly on budget. I will definitely be using Distinctive on my next projects.

The results of all work--carpenter, painting, electrical, plumbing, roofing, deconstructing and renovating (taking down to the studs and building out), masonry--is perfect. Thoughtful preparation and design, outstanding recommendations based on years of experience, expert installation, and follow-up to ensure all is still perfect. I've used for two major projects, the other being in excess of $250K. Is my go-to contractor since 2011 when I moved into the area.

The reason I enjoy working with Distinctive Contracting is the same reason I’d recommend them to anyone building a home or doing a renovation – they’re exceptional! As a designer, collaborating with builders can be tricky, but Chad was very patient and easy to work with and welcomed my input. His knowledge, experience, and accessibility were invaluable during the design process and he made it clear that he was not afraid of what most would consider very challenging finish work. We had Distinctive Contracting Services remodel on our entire first floor. Our floor plan was old, out dated, and did not utilize the space efficiently. Chad suggested a plan of removing walls, opening up door ways, and relocating a laundry area, that opened up the house and gave us a more modern floor plan. It is amazing how the same exact space can feel so much larger after such a remodel. Included in the remodel was a completely new kitchen, windows, a huge sliding glass door across the back of the house that let in a ton of natural light, new sheet rock everywhere, LED lighting, hand scraped teak flooring, complete electrical and plumbing, HVAC, and a new laundry room. Chad was great to work with, he made suggestions throughout the project that added tremendous value, like something as simple as re-insulting the kitchen, family room, and garage areas, it was extremely cost effective and made a huge difference. To something as specific as altering our kitchen designers layout to better accommodate our floor plan Distinctive Contracting Services is very detailed oriented, they handled every aspect of our remodeling project from start to finish, and I would highly recommend them.
