Carleton Kitchen & Bath

While we do most of our own renovations, we decided to engage CKC Group to first design, then team with us, the owners, in the renovations. A little apprehension at first on both sides, but we are very pleased with their quality of workmanship, professional approach and of course the end result. Thanks to the CKC team for a great job. We enjoy every day and show it to our visitors.

We hired CKC to update our tired old kitchen and what a great job they did for us! We removed a wall, and added a gas stove & island. Their workmanship was fantastic, including some last minute (not so ) minor adjustments! Their team of carpenters were very professional, pleasant, and kept the house spotless at the end of their work days. I would use this company again, and I recommend them to anyone who is renovating their kitchen to do so also.

We were very pleased with the front addition of an upstairs room and lower mudroom with front porch that was built by Carleton Kitchen & Bath. All of the materials used as well as the professionlism of all of the trades showed a true sense of the value of craftsmanship held by the company, that in the end left us with a beautifully finished home that we will admire for many years to come!

Dear Brent, Jessica, and Derrick, I wanted to take a moment to send you a heartfelt THANK YOU, for my amazing kitchen. It's been about 2 months since I moved back into the house and I spend as much time in my beautiful kitchen as possible. I'm in awe every time I stand in it because I can't believe how amazing it is. Everyone who sees it, is in shock with the transformation. I really appreciate the time and effort all of you put into the project, and the attention to detail. Jessica-You have great taste! You completely understood my style, sometimes more than I did. In particular, everyone loves the back splash detail behind the cook top that you picked. I might start taking the credit for it :) Derrick-I appreciate the quality of your work, your carpentry skills, and your patience. Brent-I think I have pretty good instincts about people, and I had a good feeling when I hired you to renovate my very ugly kitchen. You completely made me feel at ease from beginning to end. I especially like that you did not try to 'nickle and dime' me for every little thing, you ensured that I was comfortable with what was being done in my home, your staff is wonderful, and your standards are high. I have no issue recommending you to everyone I know, and I would hire you again in a heartbeat. We had a vision of what we wanted and explained that to Karri who put our ideas to drawings so we could see what our new kitchen would look like. Dear Brent, Just a note to let you know how much we appreciated your services this summer with our kitchen renovation, as well as to let others know how impressed we were: We did an extensive renovation, which involved amalgamating 4 independent rooms (kitchen, living room, dining room and breakfast room) into one now rather spectacular open concept space. We had initially thought of trying to redesign just part of the area, and in our journey of trying to determine what to do, Carleton Kitchen and Design took the time to provide us with a series of designs that gave us an idea of what was possible - ranging from a more modest renovation that would use the elements already in the space - to a full renovation of the entire area. These designs allowed us to see exactly what could be, and gave us the opportunity to decide what it was we wanted to do with the house without any concerns that we were not looking at all the options. Having consulted with two other firms prior to calling Carleton, I can say that taking the time to provide multiple options is not the norm in this industry, and we greatly appreciated their efforts in this respect. In the end, we decided to renovate the entire area and could not be more pleased that we did. The scope of renovation included taking down structural walls, moving utilities, putting in new windows, matching new flooring to old, ripping out a staircase and installing a significant amount of cabinetry and new electrical work. Forethought was also given to any possible future renovations to the unfinished loft space above the kitchen, and all electrical and utility plans ensured that access would be available from above without having to disturb the new renovation. All of the work was done in 12 weeks, in accordance with all proposed timelines and on the exact budget we signed off on. Brent oversaw the project and was always available to us if we needed to touch base. Charline designed the kitchen and routinely checked in to ensure all was going according to plan. Derrick and Andre - who were the ones here every day doing the work - we cannot say enough about. The amount and quality of work they accomplished each day was extraordinary. We saw them each morning for a brief chat about what the day held, and every night we came home to a pristine renovation site that had been swept, vacuumed and had all tools and materials neatly stacked in a corner with an air purifier running. Both Andre and Derrick were happy to address any questions we had, and on the odd occasion when they called about a minor choice than needed to be made, we trusted them enough to tell them to make it for us. We were fortunate that there were no hidden surprises or issues that came about in renovating our house, but had we encountered those types of issues, we have every faith they would have been dealt with efficiently and effectively given our experience with Carleton Kitchen and the level of service they provided. We were able to live in our house during the course of the renovation, but had we needed to leave the property, we would have had no issue leaving the house in the hands of Carlton Kitchen, even for extended periods. We were very lucky to have made the right choice in company for our first (and quite extensive) renovation. We have many friends who have not had our experience with other firms. For any future renovations, we will not even go to the trouble of consulting other firms, we'll just return to Carleton Kitchen. Regards, Caroline & Steve

Hi Brent and Karri, I wanted to take a minute and send along a note to say thank so much for the great new look in our tiny space. It has been about 6 months now and I have officially broken in my new kitchen and am loving every minute of it. I had a grand, very unrealistic vision and Karri you helped bring me back down to reality, keep me on track and focused and helped 'keep it real'. Your expertise with all aspects - from paint color, to cabinetry color and design, to moldings, tile, and handles and beyond - was invaluable and I am very thankful for all your guidance. With all of that, and just the right level of distressing to the cabinets, I get the warm, rustic feeling I hoped to achieve every time I walk in to my new kitchen. Brent, you and your team did not disappoint either. Everything was handled professionally and in a very thorough manner from the initial intake to the final sign-off. After 25 years with the same old bathroom, we decided we needed a change and turned to Carleton Kitchen and Bath. It was a good choice and the entire experience from planning to installation was superb. We highly recommend them! The renovation started with a visit by Brent and Jessica. We were impressed by the consultative questions we were asked about the bathroom. It got us thinking about what we were trying to achieve; it helped us focus on the precise look and feel for the room. After that, we worked with Jessica on the tiles, the colours, the vanity, mirrors, faucets, towel racks... you name it. She was not only patient but helpful in pointing out the pros and the cons of our suggestions. In addition, she did not overwhelm us with way too many choices. Once we had made our selections, Jessica reviewed the entire work project and time frames, step-by-step. This was extremely beneficial because it gave us peace of mind knowing what was to be done and when. The deconstruction of the old bathroom was conducted without a hitch by Derrick and Riley. We could not have asked for two better workers. They were always on time, they worked diligently, and the communicated every step of the way. If they were going somewhere or if they were going to be a bit late, they let us know. It was courteous and respectful. As for the installation, these guys know their stuff. Fast, efficient and very professional. Ultimately, they transformed that tired old bathroom into ...well... a modern, clean, well crafted space with beautiful tile, a walk in shower with full length glass doors, a refurbished vanity with a quartz counter top that looks like it's from the Ritz. The bathroom is bright and airy. The work was finished on time and on budget. The project was reviewed again by Brent and Jessica to ensure our satisfaction. And when we needed a couple of adjustments here and there, Derrick and Riley showed up, cheerful as ever and helped us out. So here's the bottom line: the experience was SO positive that Carleton Kitchen and Bath will be doing some additional work in our house ... and the next major project is the master bathroom.

With an aging en suite bathroom in a 1980’s property my wife and I wanted to have a significant redesign and renovation but didn’t know where to turn for quality work. After some considerable searching and following the recommendation of friends we tried the costing and design service offered by the CKC Group and Beaulieu Design services: the thoroughness of the design and clear project management skills of CKC were such that making a decision to move forward with this team was an easy decision. Beaulieu Design services were involved with the project throughout the design and build process – attending to the details with the renovation team, addressing unforeseen obstacles with us where decisions were required and following up with us at every stage of the project. We have been delighted with the design, which goes well beyond what we could have hoped for at the outset: a beautiful and very practical design with breathtaking attention to detail. The standard of workmanship provided by CKC was outstanding and the quality of the trade professionals again exceeded our hopes. The attention to detail by the CKC team was truly outstanding: in instances they would rework an area that did not meet their critical eye (that may have otherwise been acceptable to us). The level of communication was as good as we could have hoped and reassuringly the CKC team would update us on progress against plan usually on a daily basis. We had no hesitation contracting the CKC and Beaulieu design team again for the renovation of our kitchen, ground floor bathroom and retile of our entire ground floor. Again, CKC’s project management discipline and quality of craftsmen resulted in a final product that was exactly as we had agreed and finished on time and on budget. CKC’s attention to detail, management and communication is unparalleled in our experience.

We have used Carleton Kitchen and Bath twice in the last 10 years. The first time for a kitchen and powder room renovation and more recently for a livingroom/diningroom renovation. We were very pleased with the quality of the work, design ideas and cabinetry design. The work was done on schedule with as little disruption to the family as possible and the workers were not only skilled but anxious to do an excellent job that we would be pleased with. They gave us what we asked for and more, making suggestions that were improvements to our original plans.
