Cox Architecture and Design helped us completely transform our dark outdated 1979 brick house into a beautiful open spacious home. Craig Cox and his team provided a level of professionalism, attention to detail and responsiveness throughout the project that made the entire process so easy. We have received so many compliments on the design and layout (which includes so much more usable space for our family of 5). We are so happy with the finished result and credit Craig and his team for seeing the potential that we would have never seen ourselves. A huge thank you for all the work you did for us in creating our amazing new space!

We had a great experience working with Cox Architecture on our house expansion. They were a great partner to help us think outside the box and develop creative plans to address our whole wish list. They were very patient with us as we worked through multiple design options and provided many creative solutions to issues we faced. We kept developing our own ideas, and they were very gracious in working with them and helping us figure out which ones would work and which would not. They even coordinated with our builder to get rough price ranges to help us decide between different plans. We highly recommend Cox Architecture if you are looking for a creative, collaborative design partner!

We really enjoyed working with Craig and team. They were professional, prompt, creative and cost-focused. While we had big dreams for what our remodeled home would look like after the drawings came to life, the design and its outcome has exceeded our expectations! In some ways we can't even understand where all of the extra space came from even though we didn't change the footprint of our home. Cox Architecture and Design embraced creativity and ingenuity to make our home and its space so much more workable and comfortable for our large family. They also landed at the lower end of the projected architectural budget, which also pleased us. The clean design, great outcome and easy-to-work-with team spirit was exactly what we had hoped for when starting the project. We are very pleased with the outcome and happily recommend Craig and his team.

We are working with Craig Cox on a complete gut & renovation of our family home, our second project. He designed our screened porch several years ago, we get compliments on it every summer. When researching the porch project, I asked several people who had done large renovations if they had an architect they would recommend, none of the people I spoke with would have used their architect again. During the design process, Craig spent a lot of time listening to what we wanted and why we wanted it plus he brought his experience in similar projects to add ideas we hadn't thought of. His construction administration oversight during the process has been invaluable in catching issues before they become big and expensive. Craig is warm, professional and enjoyable to work with.

Craig Cox of Cox Architecture and Design is an exceptional architect. Our first project with him was for a screened in porch addition to our existing home. He managed to tie the design of the porch into the style of the home and we feel it actually improved the overall appearance of the house. We are currently using his services now for an complete renovation. (We’re keeping the porch intact.) Throughout the process, he has provided thorough and thoughtful insight into the design. He has thought things through down to the tiniest detail. An example would be the swing direction of the doors for functionality and aesthetics.. We have retained him for construction oversight and plan to use his services for future projects which will include new construction and a renovation of a property over 200 years old.

Cox Architecture is worth every penny. I am amazed by the creativeness and perceptiveness of Craig. I can honestly say I have my dream home thanks to both Craig and Greg’s hard work, attention to detail and patience. I have been living in my house for several weeks and I love the amazing views out every window, more storage than I could ever possibly need, the functionality of every space, and every detail that make my house uniquely mine. There is not another house in the area that looks like mine, yet it still belongs. Craig went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I wanted. He was one of the few people involved in the construction who I felt was always on my side. I cannot recommend him enough.

We undertook a sizeable renovation, but wanted the house to stay true to its original architecture, so the job required creative solutions and thoughtful design choices. Craig and his team were up to the task and imagined some exceptional spaces and surprising details. We love the result. From a practical standpoint, Craig was always timely and responsive. We could count on him to deliver what he promised when he promised it. The building process was complicated, but Craig was a pragmatic and patient advocate who helped us navigate the process until the end. He is straightforward and zero drama, which are valuable qualities to be able to count on when a project hits the inevitable bump or two along the way. We highly recommend Cox and Associates without reservation.

We were very fortunate to have found Craig through an online search as we looked to build a new home in North Carolina. From the moment my husband and I met with Craig and his team, we felt like we were in excellent hands. As we lived out-of-state, there were many phone calls and Skype meetings as Craig listened to our wishes and expectations for our new home. Craig was able to transform our ideas into the home with the perfect floor plan and design for our needs. We had a few issues with our GC, but Craig always was in our corner & ensured that the quality of the build was never compromised. Craig is a talented and caring professional, and we could not recommend him more highly.

We are very fortunate to have found Craig Cox and his team on Houzz and can recommend him without hesitation. After an initial inquiry via the website, Craig immediately reached out to us. On our first meeting, he clearly laid out the terms of our relationship and then listened carefully to our needs and desires for a new home which he drew on vellum as we talked and watched. He was awesome in that first meeting in putting to paper exactly what we wanted and, more importantly, in what we would need but hadn't considered. Over the next series of meetings that included site visits, the style and details of the plans emerged to fit beautifully our vision of the house and the property on which it sits. He has worked closely with our builder, RH Carder, and our praise for the two could not be higher. Craig and his staff exude friendly and receptive personalities that lend to the overall confidence we have in their work and commitment to the client.

Craig Cox designed a simple, beautiful covered porch addition for us. It blends beautifully with our existing home. During the design process, he listened to our needs and our budget. He also help us find a reliable contractor. During construction he showed up frequently to check on progress. It was a fun project! We practically live on our new porch!
