Each piece is made by hand in the USA using old world metal working techniques. Designs are given multi-coat, hand-applied finishes, and feature hand-rolled fabric and parchment shades. Dropped off lampshades two months ago. They still have not even begun to work on them. No notice given to consumer that performance would be anything but prompt. I was told a month ago that they were waiting for the material to be shipped, leading me to believe their work was done in-house. Today I tried to cancel the order, but was told the frames had been shipped OUT! I am seething mad and will warn my friends in the decorating and home furnishing trades to beware. I experienced good performance from them in years past,, but something has changed. New management, maybe? Dana Creath not actively overseeing the business? Time to look for another lamp and shade shop. Sad.

I’m the owner and founder of Custom House Lighting and assure you that we take every measure to be as prompt as possible with every order while delivering a quality product. I spoke with the manager, who has been with us for 40 years, and your lamp appears to be a French Antique with a silk-lined, hand-sewn stretch shade. For situations such as these, we have a wonderful seamstress in Los Angeles who specializes in delicate silk shade recovers like yours. We are scheduled to receive the shade back next week, and it’ll take a day to reassemble to the lamp, so your order will complete by the end of next week. Please don’t hesitate to call me with any further questions or concerns, and again we are sorry you were unhappy with your experience. We pride ourselves on our quality and customer service so of course this was upsetting to me to hear. I hope that you will be happy with the end result.

I have this hanging over my corner tub in my bathroom, it is so cute. I wish it were a little bigger, but it definitely makes a statement when you walk into our master bathroom. I was afraid that the acrylic pendants would look really cheap, but I was wrong!

We worked closely with the team at Dana Creath last year for a custom chandelier. We could not have been more pleased with their level of expertise or professionalism. They were all fabulous to work with and the piece turned out absolutely gorgeous! It was everything we had been looking for and more!

Dana Creath is hands-down one of the best lighting manufacturers the United States - they produce incredibly beautiful pieces using superb craftsmanship, the finest materials, and incredible attention to fine detail. I've had the chance to visit their factory in Santa Ana, CA and it is quite an impressive operation - each piece is hand-made and custom orders are encouraged. Its no wonder they are represented by only the finest showroom.

We have had a wonderful experience working with Dana Creath. We put an addition on our house and I came across their lighting fixtures on Houzz. I contacted them and it was a pleasure from start to delivery. They showed professionalism, email replies were same day and provided knowledge when we needed assistance. Their products have superior quality and style you do not see often. Currently we were in need of a special piece and they helped us to design and create it within budget. The photo below shows the modified lanterns, sconces on the built in window and part of chandelier we purchased. The room is not completely finished will add more pictures when complete.
