Daniel Hruby is the founder of Visualize It Built, an architectural design and visualization firm located in North San Diego County, CA. Daniel holds an Environmental Design degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is currently a licensed architect in the state of California [#C31344] and designs custom residences, additions and remodels throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa and San Diego County. Daniel has 20 years of professional experience utilizing Graphisoft's BIM platform ArchiCAD to design and document high-end custom homes. Open plans with warm combinations of materials and colors are dominant traits in his design sensibility. As a 3d artist, Daniel applies his passion for photorealistic architectural rendering to 3d BIM models using either Maxwell Render or The Foundry's Modo. Clients are typically other architects, landscape architects, or interior designers that need to communicate design concepts with realistic materials, lighting and plantings. These can be useful for presenting to clients and design review committees. VIB has recently established a studio in San Marcos, CA to provide custom architectural design and visualization services for Northern San Diego communities such as Rancho Santa Fe, La Jolla and Del Mar.

Dan from Visualize It Built has been amazing -- from our very first meeting, he has taken the time to listen and understand our vision for our home and brought it to life. He was able to come up with creative solutions for some layout challenges that met all of our requirements. Dan is extremely detailed, timely and responsive. Both our structural engineer and general contractor complimented his level of detail and thoroughness on the plans. The final result is absolutely amazing and we're happy to have had Dan architect and design our project for us! We would highly recommend him!!

My husband and I had the VERY good fortune to have Dan Hruby design and supervise the building of our 4,200 s.f. home in Sun Valley. Because he provided such incredible 3D modeling, we were able to see EXACTLY what our home would look like and how it would flow. For me especially, that took the trepidation out of the process because I could see how his ideas would blend so well in both form and function. I honestly had to ask myself whether I was looking at photographs or drawings. They were THAT good! I could not recommend Dan more if you're looking for innovative solutions and creative ideas that will make your home an incredible place to enjoy for a very long time.

We hired Dan to completely remodel our home. The project involved re-designing the entire layout of our home to fit in an additional bedroom. We had a vision for what we wanted to accomplish, but didn't have any idea of how to achieve our design goals. Dan was able to take our vision and create a layout that fit our needs. Dan was patient and reliable and did numerous revisions of layouts. He was able to come up with creative ways to achieve the design we wanted. Dan's knowledge of design, patience with people, creativity and professionalism makes him an ideal architect. Without him, we would not be living in our perfect home. When we moved to San Diego, we hired Dan again to re-design our backyard. We had limited space, and wanted to fit a pool, hot tub and outdoor living space. We wanted a modern look, which is why we hired Dan. Again, he designed a beautiful yard. He was able to maximize our space and we were able to fit everything we wanted. We are very thankful to him.

Dan was the architect and designer on our home re-model. He worked closely and patiently with my wife and I to understand our building needs. Most helpful Dan provided inspiration to what could be done that opened up possibilites we had not remotely considered. Dan produced the design and plans through the process. He worked well with our Contractor through the build. We were thrilled with Dan's work and the project outcome. On time, reliable, calm. We have continued to consult with Dan for almost 10 years since. Great partner for us.

I've had the pleasure of working with Dan at VIB on a couple home remodel projects. During the process, he consistently impressed me with his creative thinking and sensible solutions. Dan has a real knack for coming up with 'out-of-the-box' solutions for common design issues that accomplish the underlying goal, all while maximizing the dollar. Dan was always very responsive to my requests and his turnaround times far exceeded my expectations. In fact, I was so impressed with Dan's abilities that I hired him to help with the styling and design of an innovative wind turbine project. I look forward to the day when we can work on another project together and in the meantime will recommend him every chance I get.
