David was the architect on a beautiful modern home in the Broadmoor community that my company constructed. He is truly an incredible designer and furnished us with a set of plans that made a fairly complicated construction process possible. The project was a great success and the clients were very happy with the final product. I would highly recommend him to those interested in excellent, innovative designs and clear concise leadership.

David Coleman gave us a landscape design that was both functional and aesthetic. He was spot on and exceeded our expectations - our yard looks fantastic! He was attentive to our concerns, worked well with our contractor, and was very easy to work with.

I have worked with David for over 20 years as an engineering consultant on his projects. I have been impressed continually by his attention to detail and his ability to make projects happen. His architectural talent and his sense of beauty and form expressed in his designs is beyond question. It is always gratifying to see his work come to life. His projects are usually challenging for everyone involved but the end product is always worth it. If you like what you see in his work and you want something of that nature, then he is your architect.

We came to David wanting to remodel, enlarge and upgrade our home, but with no knowledge of what or how to go about doing that and all on a small budget. David patiently and carefully listened to our needs, ideas and limitations and drafted a few potential plans. I was impressed with how his plans considered the entire inside and outside environment. The garden, the windows and lighting, the inside space and flow were all integrated into a single flowing living space. He was not just redesigning a place to live, he was creating art using the house as canvas, a living space. We have put our project on hold due to financial considerations. We hope to hire David soon.

As a general contractor I have worked with David Coleman building several custom home and remodeling projects over the course of the past twelve years. David's designs are always fresh, precise and usually challenging. His use of wood, steel and glass in stairways for example has always required a high level of craft and innovation which is something we builders find rewarding. As a person David Coleman is professional, accessible, and easy to communicate with, He is also full of ideas and an excellent problem solver. His job site ability to sketch out a design solution on a scrap of paper is remarkable yet apparently easy. David Coleman expects the best in his projects - which is fine with me.

SBI Construction

We are general contractors who work with David Coleman/Architecture building new homes and remodels. As such, we value the support they provide to enable the success of the process. They do an excellent job of creative design but do not sacrifice function at the cost of form. Building envelope integrity (waterproofing) is a high priority with their group, which only increases the quality of the structure and guarantees the longevity of the home. Although many clients aren’t able to see this play out, it is clear to us that Coleman is a very good owner’s advocate. He monitors the budget and workmanship on site regularly to ensure the expected outcome. We highly recommend them.

We have used David for four projects, one new build and three remodels. He is thoughtful, creative and a bit of a control freak but -- as we like to say -- he's "our control freak". He has a highly developed design aesthetic so if you are contemplating using him we would recommend that you visit some of his projects. That's the best way to get a sense of what he does and how he does it. David is very hands on and will visit the job site frequently to make sure the project is progressing correctly. He is also willing to "value engineer" if the costs are deemed to large.

We had the pleasure of working with David Coleman on a whole house remodel in 2004 (completion 2005). It was a challenge to say the least, with half of the existing building running through the set back boundaries. We had met with three other architects prior to David, each telling us we should completely tear down the structure and move the house to a different location on the lot. Within 30 minutes of our meeting with David, he saw a brilliant solution of two distinct, but connected towers. We loved the idea instantly. Our work with David was fun and collaborative. We felt our voices were heard throughout the process. We ultimately came back to him for additional work (adding a rooftop deck). His vision and process make it easy for us to recommend him.

Not only are his designs original, fresh and interesting, but David finds creative solutions for making challenging circumstances work, whether they are design or budget-related. David's persistent attention to detail makes the design better in every way.

As a general contractor we look to partner with architects who have a clear design vision, are good communicators and value the builders contributions to the construction process. David possesses all these qualities. Most importantly, he's fun to work with!

I have done several remodel projects with David. They have varied from kitchens to entire front yards. Each time, the design he provided was unique, timeless and got rave reviews. The guidance he provided the builders was excellent and was instrumental in a high-quality result. David has always been easy to work with, knowing when and where to compromise and where not to. He provided lots of good ideas for items where we could save money and schedule, with no reduction in the design quality and impact. Our builders thought highly of him and I'd recommend him for any job.

Kommenteret: Love the countertop, sink and faucet!I'm glad you like the Field House kitchen. The countertop is by Caesarstone, and the faucet and sink are by Kohler. I don't know the model numbers off hand, but they are easily identifiable on the man...
