I had a vision of what I wanted our back yard to look like. After talking with Doug I found his experience took the project to a new level. His design and attention to detail made my ok plan amazing.

We absolutely love our backyard now thanks to Doug’s uncanny ability to fulfill the vision my wife relayed to him of wanting a babbling stream cascading down a set of waterfalls into a pond next to an expanded patio for outdoor living. After meeting with a few companies, we chose Doug because after our initial “conversation” with him, we immediately “believed” in him … the person …. rather than trusting some commercially polished design and build firm. To that end, we did not start with a detailed build to print design. Doug actively listened to us and produced a conceptual layout that he said would “evolve” as he personally “created” the design real time adjusting to the site conditions and to the materials as they were delivered. The end product has the same “concept” that did “evolve” into a gorgeous landscape design that makes us smile every day and night. This strategy of evolving the design allowed for back and forth exchanges of ideas throughout the project between Doug, my wife and I as we saw the project unfold. Though it took a little more time, we enjoyed the real honest collaboration as it improved every decision made along the way. However, “creating” along the way rather than just hiring a crew to construct a detailed print, does require patience and flexibility of the customer. Doug is a hands-on person and most always at the site personally performing and/or overseeing the hardscaping and/or softscaping. We exuded patience and flexibility and as result we were rewarded with our dream backyard. Regarding cost, the price was competitive with other companies we interviewed. Our agreed to budget allowed for the evolving nature of the design. As a result, the only cost increases were due to changes I requested that clearly increased scope. But if my request just affected the layout, there was no cost. We appreciated the fact that Doug was totally transparent with his costs so we never had to worry about pricing. In the end, we are extremely glad we chose Doug Bibb’s Landscape Company and would be happy to showcase the end result especially now as all the plants are trees are beginning to bloom.

Doug Bibb completed two projects at my Great Falls home over a three year period. In both cases, his work exceeded my expectations. My projects consisted of a beautiful flagstone walkway with knee walls and an entire backyard pavilion complete with outdoor kitchen, fireplace and covered entertainment area. I imagine that some people want to review a plan and just push the go button and see how it turns out. And then they'll likely complain about details of the project they didn't like or hadn't expected. Doug doesn't work that way and if that's what a client wants I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Instead, Doug takes a very personal, adaptive and creative approach to working with clients. On many occasions while reviewing his work, that completely matched my approved plans, we found minor changes that made a big difference in the final product. It isn't easy matching what a client has in his or her head, but Doug accomplished that task. There were about a dozen times when Doug said "look Chris, you're just going to have to trust me on this". And while with other aspects of life those words often end up with disappointment, Doug's experience came through each time. He politely guided me through some decisions I had made that wouldn't have worked out well and was reasonable when changes had to be made. By his nature, Doug overbuilt the important aspects of my project. His footers were deeper and thicker than what others had suggested, the laminated beams were sturdier and larger than needed, the roofing was considerable more durable than even the roofing on my house. Someday someone will walk past my property and say "wow, not sure what the house looked like but this backyard is still amazing. Ok, world's longest review here...sorry. Contract Doug if you want a quality, collaborative result that matches every detail of your imagination. He is a kind and reasonable businessman and I hope to one day have another project for him.

Talk about outstanding work and care! Doug Bibb and his crew are just outstanding, good human beings. Very hard working and talented company who are willing to do more than just an average job. More companies should take a lesson on how to run an excellent company. I really enjoyed working with Doug because he was willing to spend a lot of time in the pre-planning phase. We worked together and came up with a design and he never tried to go the easy route. We hired him to do a large porch/patio to the front of our house and it's just gorgeous. Great workmanship. Chris, Raphael and David were the hardest working people I've ever encountered on a landscape job. The job has completely transformed the entrance to our home. We couldn't be happier. We interviewed several companies for this job, but knew as soon as we finished the meeting with Doug and his landscape architect Brittany, that these were the people to do our job!!! They were outstanding in EVERY way, and the completed job is magnificent!!! If we ever move, this is the group I will call to do it all over again!! No one could ask for a better group of people, who take pride in their work, and truly care what the end result is.....

We have had the pleasure of working with Doug Bibb's Landscaping Company on several occasions over the last seven years. Throughout the process, they listened to what we wanted, were responsive, offered constructive suggestions; their designs were creative but flexible and they were most respectful of our budget concerns, even offering to work on our largest project in stages as our budget would allow. Everyone in the company was courteous and dependable and all the projects were completed in a timely fashion (weather permitting) and to our complete satisfaction.

Before ultimately deciding on going with Doug Bibb's Landscape for my hardscape / landscape project, I had at least four other firms review the complicated space for ideas, quotes, etc. The design that the team of Doug and Brittany came up with far exceeded anything the other firms had provided me. They were able to maximize the use of my outdoor space, offer many outstanding features that I had not even thought of, while still keeping it flowing, uncluttered and really impressive. It was also nice to see that although their concept was so much better than the others, their quote was very fair in comparrison to what I had received up to that point, making it an easy decision to go with them. During the project it couldn't have been easier to work with them. They were always accessible and kept me informed of all issues and details throughout the process. Why is Doug Bibb's Landscape Company so good? Glad you asked. They offer timely, professional and friendly service. They offer design plans, horticulture advice, they plant only the best shrubs, trees and flowers. They are honest. They guarantee their work, they follow up on jobs checking plants, making sure they are being watered, and they are courteous and quick about call backs. They also offer maintenance. They offer budge friendly jobs, and long term plans. I don't even call anyone else. I have been working with Doug Bibb's Landscape company for 10 years. That speaks volumes. During that time I have tried two other landscape companies in the area and went right back to Doug Bibb. He is the only one who really means what he says and does what he says he's going to do. In addition, and in conclusion, Doug and his team, that includes an very knowledgable designer, Brittany, really look at and study the yard at different times of day to see where the light patterns are. They take note of what seems to grow heartily in the particular soil of the yard, the designer takes into consideration they type of plants used so the yard looks good all year long. And she spends time to consider groupings of colors. Because of their hard work I now have one of the most beautiful yards in the neighborhood.
