Myself and my wife used DDS for a complete refurb and extension of a 3 bed semi detached house on the Stiles Road in Clontarf during 2015/2016. It was Niall Henry that we dealt with throughout. Right through from the early consultations where we were shown initial sketches of plans, through to the planning permission phase, and then the build, we found Niall very hands on and willing to take onboard any changes or alterations as the build unfolded. Site meetings were very regular, and in particular I felt Niall kept a very close watch on the builders themselves. It was commented to me by the foreman on site at one stage that he'd never known an architect to have his clients interests so much at heart, and that he was relentless in his attention to detail. Overall we are absolutely delighted with the design, quality of finish and warmth of the house since we moved in back in December 2016. I would highly recommend DDS to any of my friends.

David Craig of Dublin Desgn Studio has provided full architecture and design services for a 40sq metre single-storey rear extension on our 1930s terraced house, maximising light, space and design values. Throughout, David has communicated deftly, managed dextrously and delivered attentively and creatively on the brief. He created an open and collaborative process with us from the outset which we as clients have hugely enjoyed. When budget restrictions hit, as they do, he proved himself to be an able problem-solver, offering alternatives while always championing and achieving the highest possible design standards. He and his team at DDS have mined the maximum potential out of a small terraced house creating a beautiful, flowing and seamlessly functional space for design-minded, and thereby demanding, clients! We're delighted with the process and the result. Highly recommended.

We engaged with Dublin Design Studio to undertake the design and planning approval process of our house in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin, including refurbishment of exisiting house as well as the building of a new modern extension The main house dates back to 1807 and is potected by preservation order so we had to contend with a challenging approval process which Niall and the DDS team manged quite seamlessly. The design of the new extension is very modern which contrasts dramatically with the original Georgian design of the exisiting house but the DDS team married what were two fundamentally different design approachs and construction methedoligies together very successfully. Professional with a great design ethos but also very open communication to ensure client, contractors and design team worked cohesively together. i highly recommend DDS.

We have had the pleasure of working with the team at Dublin Design Studio on a refurbishment of our existing home and have found their advice to be clever, elegant, well thought through but cost effective to construct. Firstly we were provided with an amazing design that did fit with our initial brief, Davids attitude was always positive and reassuring. Having the DDS experience and know how was invaluable to us during a very difficult planning approval process which finally resulted in planning permission granted after appeal. having never been through a project like this (renovation & extension of 100 year old cottage) and not particularly knowledge about construction or the industry it was very important to us that we had someone we could trust on our side to guide and advise us though the construction phase. We now have a totally transformed house which really well built and designed. Highly recommended

When we approached David from Dublin Design Studio in 2011 he was faced with the difficult task of meeting the living requirements of our large family comprising of teenagers and young adults. With this project he did not disappoint. David made the process of a difficult planing application easy and with a given time frame of 2 years and a hope of being settled in for Christmas 2012. We were very pleased to have moved in on the 18th of December 2012. He worked very closely with the building contractor, DC Building & Energy Services to complete a project involving the demolition of an old dwelling and the design and new build of a fabulous contemporary Eco. build comprising of 5,500 sq ft living accommodation.
