e4 is incredible! From the start of our renovation project through the final punch list, Emily and Anthony have been phenomenal partners. Emily took time to get to know us and our style, worked well with our contractor team (they loved working with her!), was an incredible and creative project solver when needed, helped us stay within our established budget, and ultimately gave us a final product that surpasses our expectations. We absolutely love it. We would work with e4 again in a heartbeat. They run an honest, high quality, and personable business that we were happy to support.

I can't recommend the team at e4 highly enough! Emily is smart, thoughtful, fun and quickly understood our style and preferences. Concepts and items were delivered on time and though there were very few issues, any time something was late or not done properly it was fixed immediately. She was creative and worked very well with our contractor. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!

During the initial phase of construction and design of our home in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, my husband and I had the pleasure of working with Emily Mattei and her husband, Anthony from e4 Interior Design, LLC. The interior design of a home is overwhelming and costly, leaving little room for poor judgment. Partnering with Emily is without a doubt the single best decision we made. Emily devoted the first phase to learning about us. Our goals, our sense of style and of course, the timeline and budget. From the outset, I was thankful and quickly appreciated the talent Emily brought to the project. Emily is precise in her approach and her eye for detail is extraordinary. During construction, Emily offered minor suggestions or tweaks to the architectural design which we gladly accepted. In our opinion, our home is everything we could have hoped for. Making the decision to work with someone of Emily's caliber was the best financial and overall decision we made for the long-lasting comfort and beauty of our new home.

I so enjoyed working with Emily and e4 Interior Design. We were building a house so we were picking out everything, from doorknobs to couches to tile to window treatments. Emily was quickly able to discern my taste and style. She would present a few options that she knew I'd like. Her method worked beautifully for me because I would have great options without being overwhelmed by too much to choose from. Emily was also skilled at keeping us on schedule with selections so the project could keep moving forward. We are thrilled with how our project turned out. Emily was absolutely key to the success and our happiness with our new home.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Emily. She is talented, smart, creative and thoughtful. Her training and skill with CAD and other design tools were incredibly helpful. She has a great deal of experience but listens so well to her clients. She is also willing to try new things and we feel strongly that our money with her was very well spent!!

If you are looking for a crazy-talented professional designer who can do it all--and I mean it ALL, we highly recommend you reach out to Emily Mattei at e4 Interior Design. My husband and I were looking for someone to help us bring an antique coastal 1820's Farmhouse Cape back to life. It was essentially a total re-build and Emily and her team helped us create a design that both fit our lifestyle and maintained the original New England historical charm we fell in love with. With her vision, genuine passion for the work and an impeccable eye, Emily and her deep list of design partners introduced us to high quality design materials, products and services that well surpassed our expectations. The end result is a home that we absolutely love and plan to share with family and friends for generations to come. Quite simply--she's amazing!

My husband and I hired Emily for a couple of projects at our contemporary lake house: update our kitchen and completely remodel our master bathroom. From the first design meeting to last accessory put in place, Emily was there every step of the way to ensure the finished product exceeded our expectations. Now our kitchen is bright, crisp and airy - enhancing our open concept flow. The bathroom is truly a masterpiece. Unique does not even begin to describe the many elements that make it our favorite room in the house. The position of the vanity with its hanging mirrors allows us to cast our eyes out to the lake. The soaking tub and shower are also located to optimize the view outside. We never would have come close to duplicating such aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces without Emily's expertise. Thank you Emily!

I thought I knew the extent of my remodel ... ya not so much. I was completely over whelmed with all the decisions and choices of counters, cabinets, tile, lighting, plumbing .... aaah I'm stressing out just thinking about it. Emily was able to help me find my style and stay focused so it was manageable and enjoyable. Because of Emily I am not just satisfied with my remodel I LOVE it. My only regret in the my remodel experience would be not getting e4 Interior Design involved earlier in the process.

From the first moment we met Emily we knew she was the expert we needed to work with on our LR redesign. Her energy is contagious. She detailed a revised spacing plan for our LR and had an innovative vision for our media cabinet. Emily listened closely and made sure she understood our needs every step of the way. With her passion and creativeness we ended up with the perfect LR for our home. Emily will be our first and only call for any future projects.

Emily helped us with space planniing, including detailed floor plans, for a major renovation. She listened carefully to our needs and desires for the space and worked hard to incorporate them into the plans. Emily was realistic and upfront about the amount of time our job would take her, and stuck to her word about when it would be done. She was very personable and professional throughout the process. Finally, her fees were quite reasonable. We recommend Emily Mattei of e4 Interior design highly.

Emily is a very talented interior designer. I absolutely love the many special designs and products she brought to my new home. Emily was a true pleasure to work with. She really listened to my ideas and incorporated them into the end result. While some interior designers can be a bit pushy, Emily is not. I would heartily recommend Emily to anyone who wants a stellar interior designer!
