Shakoor performed a great job in designing a high quality look for our home that suites our personal needs and taste. We received many complaints on the look from guest who enter our home. We are pleased with our look and would recommend Shakoor Interior to others. Once we established weekly update meetings, we overcame the limitations of being in different cities.

We met Erin Shakoor at the Mercahdize Mart while in town from Memphis TN. She guided us in our search for a chandelier for a renovated master bath. My husband and I had been searching for several months and were unable to find something we could agree on. Erin was able to hone in very quickly on our differences, and she was able to direct us to the places and pieces that could work in our space. She was very thorough and professional and just a delight to work with someone so easily since he had just met on this project. By the time we left Chicago, we had several choices along with pricing and measurements. She assured us that even though we didn't live in town, she would follow through. Once we returned home, we made a selection, contacted Erin at Shakoor Interiors, and true to her word she was very responsive. We were fortunate our selection was in stock because within two weeks we had the crowning piece to finish off the master bath. We are very pleased with the guidance of thanks Erin Shakoor.

We hired Shakoor Interiors to completely redesign our 4 bedroom townhouse- right from the paint to the furniture and artwork/accessories. Erin is very thorough and full of interesting ideas. She has good taste and offered us various options thorughout the process, making sure we were happy with the choices made. She also followed up with us after the job to make sure everything was functioning properly.

Erin Shakoor of Shakoor Interiors has a wonderful esthetic that blends the new, the vintage and the specially created. She has a great eye for timeless pieces that go beyond just decorating to creating warm, inviting, personalized spaces. She always seeks to add unique touches to the decor - pictures, memorabilia - that have special significance to the homeowner.

Erin Shakoor had the task of designing, furnishing and decorating our new house. We were defnitely newbies in terms of our experience with outsourcing this kind of work to a professional, so it was great to work with Erin and she thought about the project holistically (whole home, not room by room). She was a great listener in terms of distilling our vision and style and she was flexible enough to identify options for furnishings and finishes at different price points (good, better, best) while being firm enough to let us know on which items we should not cut corners. Her use of texture and pattern was especially impressive and is consistantly one of the features that all of our guests comment on. Erin works with a stable of contractors and craftsmen who help impement the vision. While they were all great, I would say that some of them were pricier than contractors you might find on your own. Overall, while we spent more than we had budgeted for our home interior project, the product was fantastic, very liveable and true to our style.

I was contracted to do a very unusual and unorthodox glass tile installation for Erin and her client. There were many problem solving details to overcome and she was willing to listen and to contribute in a manner that helped the project move forward. Erin was very helpful and professional from beginning to end and made what could have been a stressful job into a satisfying and creative one of a kind finished product.

This is the first time I hired an interior designer and Shakoor Interiors was well worth the money. Erin provided initial consultation for an open main floor consisting of living room, dining room, and kitchen. Erin took the time to understand our specific needs and tailored her session to address our questions. She helped us to understand the fundamentals of interior design and how to incorporate our own personal style. Erin covered everything from furniture placement, drapery, color, and even African art. I am ecstatic and much more confident in creating a home that is classy and reflects my style.
