We had a great experience dealing with Esmaili rugs. We had trouble finding a rug that fit our formal dining room (square shape in a 11 x 11 or larger size). We found Esmaili Rugs had one of the largest selections of rugs that met our unique requirements, and we eventually found one that works perfectly. Their customer service is exceptional (from Jennifer their office lead, or Mr. Ali Esmaili the owner). Making such a large and important purchase online can be scary - so it was important to us that we received personal attention and care (which we did!). We would definitely buy from them again.

Rug arrived quickly, in excellent condition, just as described. There had been some confusion with my cc authorizing the charge and I wish the dealer had replied to my emails attempting to clarify the status of the purchase. However, overall a very good experience and I am pleased with the purchase.

I recently made my first purchase with Esmaili Rugs through 1st Dibs. It will not be my last. The antique tapestry was exactly what I had been searching for; yet, I did have some questions before making my final decision. My questions were thoroughly answered within an hour or so, and many additional photographs were provided. Once I made the purchase, I had some questions regarding the best way to hang the tapestry - since quite old, wanted to be sure I had information from a professional. Again, I was quickly supplied with extremely complete information. We could not have been happier with this purchase, and frankly, the excellent communication and very high level of surface were valued just as much as the tapestry itself. It is wonderful to know that a person can purchase an expensive item via the internet, sight unseen, and have full confidence that all will go very, very well. Thank you!!!!

Ali is incredibly knowledgable about the histories of each tradition and hence each rug. We are architects and very much value the depth of knowledge he offers about each piece he procures. He has a great eye for the nicest examples of their kind. We have purchased several for our clients since we found Esmali several months ago. I worked with Esmali to obtain four large rugs for my new home. They were very helpful and we had several visits. They came to my house and brought several rugs for each room and we could see how they looked in the rooms before we purchased them which was very important to select the best ones. They look very different in the actual rooms than they do in the showrooms. we are very please and highly reccomend. Thanks!

Their price was very reasonable and even after few months I decided to change one of the rugs to get a better match for my living room, they were very cooperative and respectful with no extra charges for shipping and handling. They have been in this business for many years and they know a happy costumer will always come back.
