Future Vision Remodeling

We just finished an interior remodeling project with Future Vision and it was a great experience! We had an amazing team allocated to our project and they were highly dedicated to get the job done to our full satisfaction. The team worked fast while maintaining high quality and the whole project was delivered ahead of schedule as a result of their excellent work. The project managers, Roni & Mori from R & M Design and More were amazing. They managed all aspect of the project, coordinating with the suppliers and with the Future Vision construction team. The whole project went very smooth with little to no surprises along the way. The results are absolutely amazing. We are now considering a second project and one thing we know for sure is that we will use the same construction and project management team

A few years ago we did a simple remodel of two bathrooms in Menlo Park with FVR. By the time we finished the project we just wanted these folks out of the house. After a few years I felt it was necessary to share our negative experience and how poorly much of the work has held up. Specific issues; 1. Substandard workmanship: a. Heating vent under the house was left unconnected--I was heating our crawlspace and not the bathroom for 6 months. This went undetected until I went under the house for something else! b. Looking in my attic, the electrical work to hookup the bathroom fan is clearly not up to code--junction box is not closed and there are multiple exposed wire splices. c. Gang box for the newly installed light switch is clearly not level and out of square. 2. Numerous examples with low quality finish carpentry: a. Gouge on a newly installed sliding door from the aluminum frame--supposedly fixed then recurred. b. Spackle and paste used to patch the casing around the door frame where it contacts the bathroom tile--looks terrible c. A supposedly 'straight' wall that was rebuilt by FVR, clearly bulges with an obvious curve in the baseboard. d. Sloppy work on the plumbing cover plates for one toilet--half smeared with paint and not attached to the wall properly. 3. Low quality of painting: a. Two slightly different colors of white used in one bathroom with sloppy caulking around the trim. b. Numerous blotches of paint on hardwood floors around the hallway baseboard--the kind that would be easily have been avoided by using masking tape. 4. Sloppy personnel and poor cleanliness: a. Folks were working while we were on vacation, and we came home late in the evening to find construction debris scattered in our front yard including razor blades, paint on our front walk (where stains can still be seen). b. For a year afterwards we found trash (food wrappers & empty bottles) behind the bushes or buried in the shrubs. c. I saw workers 'free handing' a circular saw for trim and baseboard--where one guy would hold the boards and another would use the circular saw. For sure not a safe or effective option--just glad nobody was hurt at our house by these substandard practices. Nobody could be bothered to bring a jobsite saw. I will add that we pointed out most of these issues to the company reps while they were happening-- most responses 'Just an honest mistake' and/or 'We will send somebody over to fix that'. At a certain point you stop trusting anyone from the company and just want these 'less-than-competent' folks out of the house. The customer shouldn't have to check all these details--especially about heating/plumbing/electrical work. Would not ever trust this company again to touch our house.

If we could give zero stars, we would. We plan to post a more comprehensive review after our project is completed but, in the meantime, we just want to warn all potential customers away from this terrible company. Do not hire them – they are not trustworthy. We have caught them lying to us on multiple occasions, and not on small issues. If your construction goes 100% OK with no issues with workmanship, no mistakes, no delays, you might be OK. But if anything doesn’t go well, their management team will make your life a living nightmare like they have done to us. Don’t take the risk. Hire someone else. Even if the alternatives are more expensive – the stress you will save yourself will be worth spending the extra money.

Our 6-7 week project is into month 6, and we still do not have a clear estimate as to when they will be finished. I feel like once they collected most of the money on the project, they lost interest in completing it. In addition, our project manager is a joke. My husband is doing most of the project management and has had to point out some shoddy workmanship such that it would be corrected.

We worked with FVR for our kitchen remodel, which included moving the kitchen to a different location in the house, transforming the existing kitchen into a dining room and closets, and relocating the laundry. From our first meeting, we immediately were impressed with them, Guy and David came that day and they both listened to our needs and what we were thinking. They explained the process and what we could and couldn't do. What I liked is that they explained things according to the cost, which was very important to us. They gave us a quote and stayed within that quote for the entire job, which we loved. They were also very open to our ideas and tried to look for the best solutions when a problem arose. Our foreman was Jose. He and his crew were great. They were efficient and clean, which was really appreciated since we were living in the house while the remodeling happened. They left the area clean before they left and put away anything that could be dangerous for our kids. They all realized from the beginning that I was picky and knew what I wanted so they were super patient and always asked me before doing something. I'm also visual so they tried to always show me how it was going to look before they finished it. Again, these guys were so patient! As you can see in the pictures, our backsplash is a big statement in our kitchen, the guy that did the tiles was very detailed oriented and didn't mind that I was hovering over him looking at everything, the end result is so perfect. David was our main manager and he responded quickly and offered solutions when needed. Allen, the designer we worked with, was great and really helped me with some things that I was on the fence about. He also made the most amazing renderings, which helped us visualize everything so much better. Overall, we had a really positive experience, everyone was great to work with and they were really fast problem solvers. We also had a couple of issues arise and they were here within a few minutes fixing it, even on a Sunday and evenings. This was our first big remodel in our fixer-upper and couldn't be happier with the result and the experience.

He and his crew worked hard every day to finish within their promised time and they did that. The price was OK and within my budget. The most important, results were amazing, just as I wanted. Met with project manager on site with my designer on 9/27, was promised quote on either 10/1 or 10/2. Called on 10/7, as this was still not in hand. Although the manager left with the plans and was on site at the home, I was told they could only provide a general estimate for the work, until permits were issued. Their quote was "$200K-$300K" - double what an earlier contractor had estimated, which had also included $4800 for demolition, already completed when Future Vision arrived. Either they didn't want the work, which I suspect, or they are approximately 2-3 times more expensive than other contractors. Very disappointed with the delay on the quote, the lack of detail in same quote and the highway robbery cost of the estimate. Would never recommend - very unprofessional

I called them and we set up a meeting in two days. Roy came to my house and gave me an estimate. He was very detailed and he offered me several solutions. The offers he gave me were very acceptable and I decided to go with one of them and signed a contract. I was offered several solutions and I decided with one of them and it was the most expensive but I wanted it. Finally crew arrived to start a job. We worked with FVR on a remodel of our kitchen and a conversion of our home's one large bath into two normal sized bathrooms. FVR was able to finish the entire remodel in 4.5 months. There were some hiccups along the way, and I felt like we really had to push to be treated as a priority project. Each FVR project manager and foreman takes on dozens of projects at a time, so you definitely won't have their undivided attention. They quoted us a price that was similar to other licensed contractors who will help you navigate the city permitting process. We did the design work ourselves, and we had to order and pick-up almost all materials ourselves. Any special requests were often met with complaining but eventually accommodated. All in all our experience was less glowing than other reviews here but not all bad. We'll get quotes from FVR for future projects but will likely try to work directly with a General Contractor for our next big project.

Very trustworthy contractor. Thy recently remodeled our basement. I hired them because their offer was very acceptable and they seemed to be very professional and responsible. They also have great customer service. The whole Future Vision Remodeling team with project manager Ben were awesome, their most important thing was customer satisfaction, they did exactly I wanted and basement looks perfect.

These pictures are the finished projects. I love the convenience of the kitchen, even though it is small, ALL I need has been packed into the space. Everything is within reach. Bathroom walkin shower is so large and useable for my disabled husband.

They brought the vision I had for my home to life. I hired them to develop a home from the ground up. The project took 2 years, but the end results are shocking(in a good way) and their combination of contemporary and modern infrastructure completely blows me out of the ocean. The entire remodeling process has been simple and smooth. These guys gave me a fair price in remodeling my bathroom and front/back door inside my home. The overall estimate was fair and the quality of work was good. They finished 5 days earlier than estimated, which is almost a week sooner than I anticipated. At first thought, you might think, did they rush? Nope. Quality of work was not compromised to finish 5 days sooner. Remodeling a kitchen is a pretty major under taking, and was quite an investment for us, so we wanted to go with someone we felt confident with, and after our first meeting with Ben, (a meeting totally set around our schedule, btw) we felt like a team. Often, with contractors, after everything is signed you never see the project manager again. Not the case with FVR, the project manager was there everyday, checking in, and documenting the progress. Speaking of progress, our full-kitchen remodel was finished 4 weeks ahead of schedule, and included many cool features and ideas they included in the design. FVR also greatly minimized the pain-in the buttocks that goes with having major construction done about ten feet from your bedroom. They sectioned off the entire work area with double sided tarp, and had lock box, so we had a lot of privacy and relatively little dust through out the job, (and left the place every night way cleaner than it was before we hired them). This kind of endeavor is never easy, there's always problems, and they handled all of them with ease and grace. (At least on our end) In fact for us, that's one of the best qualities about FVR is that they soak up all the headaches involved in a project of this scope; permits, inspections, a multitude of (borderline unreasonable) requests from their clients, all taken care of with a "no problem" attitude. And our kitchen looks better than we ever imagined. Highly recommend.

Future Vision has been great. They installed a gate inside our home and replaced all the doors inside the house. This was obviously a smaller project, but they still treated us like customers that were worth their time. We very much appreciate their customer service and professionalism regarding our needs.

I hired FVR to do a complete home remodel for a house I recently bought in San Jose. The house was completely in shambles when I bought it. I met with more than 5 companies until I found Future Vision. They completely blew me away with how detail oriented they are Kobi was my project manager and he was always there to provide me with help and always answered my questions Sharon the office manager is also one of the best she gets things done with in that same moment they handled everything from A-Z like they say they do. I’m completely in love with my Home they exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I would definitely recommend them and I will definitely only be going back to them when I have more projects. We had this company "Design" and sell us a solar system that would cover our energy bill. After installation, we found the system didn't produce anywhere near the projected output. Many complaints were made with a terrible lag time. Typically 2 weeks or greater. We live in the Bay Area and found out too late that Future Visions solar install team are all from southern CA. That explains that. We thought we were doing business locally. What a mistake. Since the production was so bad and Future Vision claimed the system was working well, we hired a third party solar company to inspect the system. A $300.00 service. They found many issues like broken tiles, panels not installed to code and bad wiring. The third party solar company made the electrical repairs that Future solar vision couldn't even detect. After a long discussion with the third party solar inspector, we found that we overpaid for our system. He offered the same system for $6K less. I was willing to pay extra for superior service and installation, but that didn't happen. More complaints were made to FV. Future vision agreed to pay us for the money lost in months of our energy bill along with the $300.00 service charge to hire an outside company to expose their errors. They have not reimbursed us. It's been 8 months of dealing with these guys and the problems they created and the regret is huge. We ordered a 5 star steak dinner and received a cold hot dog with nothing on it.

Our project was a Master Bathroom Remodel. Our finished Bathroom should be displayed in a beautiful Bathroom Showroom!!! We had a wonderful Project Manager named Idan who is just delightful and full of help and knowledge. Our Project Foreman was Ruben Rivera who is a genius! Ruben can solve any problem that might arise. Roy is one of the Owners and he is wonderful !! Sharon is the office manager and she is "Over The Moon" cool and knowledgeable. The Master Bathroom is a very important room in a house and ours is one to be very proud of and should be in a magazine advertisement showing how beautiful a bathroom can be !!!! We would give more than 5 stars if possible!!! We decided to remodel our home and add 750sq ft. to it. It turned out to be a gut of almost the entire house. The construction company we had originally selected left us hanging days before demolition and we found ourselves paying rent on an apartment we had moved into temporarily in addition to the mortgage on our empty house. We found Future Vision and were optimistic after reading their reviews online. We met with David, who was very encouraging and was very excited to work with us and help us with the situation we were in. They were able to work us in to start almost immediately due to our situation and during the course of the project have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions (ie, handling change requests, schedule changes, etc..). As for the work itself, they use high end materials and their workmanship has been exceptional. David and Dilber (the foreman) are both very personable and the entire crew always had a smile on their face, even when we made last minute requests and changes (and there were numerous of these!). They are very approachable and are always there to give us direction or help on what materials to use or any other recommendations for the house. What has ultimately sealed the deal for us is their effort to get us back into our house in time for Christmas. We expressed an interest in the beginning of the project to do so and they have absolutely delivered! During these last weeks we have seen this dedication directly with seeing the crew working at nights, on the weekends and even on Thanksgiving!!! We stopped by the house one night and saw at least 10 guys working throughout the house. David even stopped by before we moved in and helped us set up our brand new TV and couches, again, always going the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Myself, my wife, and our 2-year-old daughter are extremely happy and thankful for them as we are able to move in a few days before Christmas and celebrate the holidays in our beautiful, new home. We are so fortunate to have found David and Future Vision and are so appreciative of their hard work and commitment to our project! Definitely will use again if ever needed and would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone needing renovations/remodeling.

Not that Future Vision Remodeling needs anymore 5 star reviews, but adding ours too. We worked with Dima on our kitchen remodel and are extremely happy with the results. We have a decent size kitchen area and now that we have been in the kitchen for about a month, we are very happy with the layout that Dima and his designer came up with. It was a little difficult at first, because the new layout moved plumbing and appliances around. We did have some difficulty finding a good contractor who we felt confident about the changes. However, this is where Dima really proved right - he kept encouraging us to stick with the new layout and we are so glad we didn't go with what the contractors whom we initially interviewed wanted. There are so many choices and style options in cabinet selections, for a first time re-modeler it is a little daunting. This is again somewhere where we trusted Dima's experience. Once we got the kitchen completed, we kind of realize that it is not an easy job designing this stuff (the appliance dimensions, the various layouts, "flow" of the kitchen etc.). They may not be the cheapest option out there, but this is one of those you get what you pay for things. Especially if you are new to kitchen remodeling , go with the pros. A few extra bucks is definitely worth the peace of mind and the final results that you are going to enjoy for years to come. An added compliment is that Dima was very responsive to emails, always on time for appointments and his office handled things efficiently when it came to getting inspections and permits.

My wife and I found Future Vision on Yelp, and their professionalism from the reviews are true. Barak and his crew were very friendly, professional, and completed our project exactly in time-frame estimated. Our idea was to convert a bedroom into a family room. We ran into some unforeseen issues with gas lines embedded in the wall we were taking down, and Barak and management did everything they could to help us as fairly as possible. Upon finishing, they cleaned and vacuumed so it was a pleasant touch. We love the end result! We would definitely work with them again.

My husband and I purchased our home in October 2016 that needed much TLC. The house was in a very bad condition and it needed to be fully renovated. We knew the process was going to be pretty scary and risky but we were fully committed to finding the right team for this gut renovation project. It was very sad to see that no one in my family, friends nor coworkers were able to refer someone they had used in the past because they had such a bad experience. We interviewed many contractors and architects but we must say David from Future Vision Remodeling was the most honest and sincere contractor we've ever met. From the very beginning he told us what to expect and what we needed to do before hiring a contractor. He initially told us we needed an architect to change the structure and layout of the house. We tried to differ from his advice but we realized he was right about hiring an architect. We needed an architect to legally change the structure and layout of our one family house. David invested time to gain our trust by showing us his previous Job sites for reference. David quote was not extremely low which means his work was not poor in quality but it was not extremely high; it was right in the middle! I believe his price was fair and very reasonable for all the amount of work we had required. Today, I am very happy we decided to hire him for this project. From the moment David took over this gut renovated project his team has made this process a lot easier for us. David completed the demolition of our home in less than a week. That is very impressive! They began to level out the floors and created the new layout of our home immediately after. They were very knowledgeable, well experienced and they followed all the architects' plans. Everything that was on paper was coming to life right before my eyes and it was an unforgettable experience. The footing & foundation are very solid, the framing, exterior finishing and the interior finishing were remarkable and used great materials. Overall, his team are highly skilled contractors and I will forever be grateful for their talent and exceptional customer service. His team was extremely professional, respectful, hardworking and reliable individuals. They were always united, always on time and always available to answer our questions. It was such a beautiful, pleasant experience that I will always speak very highly of Future Vision Remodeling and I will never trust anyone else other than this team to do work in my house or any other project I may face in the near future.

As a first time homeowner, I needed a lot of guidance with my new fixer-upper. I met with quite a few contractors in the area, but decided to go with Kobi because He gave me straight-forward answers, and after only one meeting I felt like he understood exactly what I was envisioning. The 3-D design that was provided before we got to work made it so much easier for me to understand how things would look once certain walls were removed and the space was opened up, and I loved that we could play around with things and move them around to compare. After finalizing the design, Kobi had his crew set up and working only a week later! He kept in contact with me on a daily basis and helped me pick the best materials that fit my budget. We used Future Vision (and Dan) for what we considered to be a fairly major renovation project at our home in South San Francisco. My husband and I found a home in our "dream neighborhood," but we wanted to make some upgrades in the kitchen, living room, and master bathroom. Over 3-4 months, we did some major work (i.e. "take it to the studs" in most rooms) and Dan got it completed on time and on budget -- with many compliments from our friends and family. Before the renovation, we met with several different contractors that provided a series of construction plans and budgets. Dan did that too, but he offered so much more. Most of all, we were impressed by Dan's attention to detail and his keen eye for architecture. For example, most contractors "eye balled" the room measurements. Not Dan. On his first visit, he took measurements of every room and could immediately work with us on room design (or re-design) that helped us envision the yet-to-be-completed project. In addition, other contractors "suggested" that we hire an architect to help with the plans. But the bonus of working with Dan was that his architecture background gave us a "two in one" that could help us envision how we would utilize the house (i.e. you'll want the sink here; the oven here; the pantry here; a door here; etc). In my opinion, this was a huge asset to our remodel plan as we were able to review (and modify) building plans before we started work -- and Dan had some excellent input about "the flow" of our certain rooms in our future layout. Before selecting Future Vision Remodeling, we spoke to about 5-7 people that worked with Future Vision Remodeling on prior projects and they all offered glowing recommendations for them-- and they're work. During the renovation, Dan worked hard to keep his sub-contractors on schedule and routinely updated us on their progress. If we had a modification to our plans, Dan was always willing to find a solution. He also worked closely with us to select light fixtures, cabinet designs, and granite slabs. For other parts, he worked with my husband and I to "create" our dream kitchen and we would routinely share photos from magazines or the internet so he could best understand what we were "looking for." He did some major work. New hardwood floors that look excellent. A new "rain shower" with a built-in bench that we love. Expanding our kitchen by moving the water and A/C to the attic that allowed us to put an island in the kitchen. Removing a massive (truly massive) fireplace and installing a natural gas fireplace. This was not an easy job and his work was excellent. Now that our remodel project is complete, we can offer our highest recommendation for Dan and Future Vision Remodeling. We are truly happy with the final outcome and it was not a surprising result given Dan's hard work and incredible attention to detail that we now have our "dream home."

Early this year. I was transferred from New York to San Jose, California. At first I was fazed about the move but as time went on I decided it was time to leave whatever I have set up in New York and move over to San Jose. After the relocation to my new apartment, my challenge was to remodel some parts of the house as I wasn't satisfied with what the Landlord had on ground. I asked around for professional construction companies that can do the job. I got a lot of names but Futurevision was everyone's favorite. So I decided to join the groove. On Feb 1st, 2017 I called Futurevision and I was introduced to a project manager called Dima. I told Dima what I needed in my new kitchen and few days later we reached an agreement that I was to pay between 50-70k for their services. The price nearly knocked me out but since they were professionals and they were everyone's favorites and since Dima has promised to give me whatever I wanted, I signed a contract with Futurevision to remodel my kitchen on the month of may. During the course of the Job, Dima ensured that we were on the same page. He achieved this by making sure that I went through each stage of construction with the team. Sometimes when they constructed what I don't like and I complained they ripped it off and changed it to my taste. Other times when I showed them what a certain design I needed, they presented me with something better; this really made me very happy. The materials they used for the construction was of fine quality and none was a knock off. The construction team had a good team spirit as they kept on working together to see that my goal was achieved. and what a great job they did and mention the project manager "Dima" on there. The project was completed on scheduled date. During the course of the construction, so many things happened, we had altercations, we had misuderstandings, some days we were not on the same page but notwithstanding futurevision still showed me why they were everyone's favorite thanks to Dima. I am not planning on moving anytime soon but should in case I do, I will definitely call Dima and his team again to come and remodel my kitchen. We had a great experience working with Kobi and his project managers Victor and Oscar. Our project started as a master bathroom expansion and remodel. During the remodel, they found some foundational and water draining issues in our house. Kobi was quick to inform us of the issues, and we were able to quickly get the project expanded to cover those fixes as well for a reasonable price. There was a huge focus on getting things done right, e.g. taking extra effort to match our existing flooring and paint colors. Overall, we had a great experience with Future Vision and will definitely use them in the future for any projects we have.

Work professionally done, the crew arrived on time and finished the repair in a timely and professional manner. I truly don't have enough nice words to describe the experience that I had with this company. It probably will sounds strange to say something like that, but it is true. When I first contact future Vision remodeling a very nice lady spoke with me over the phone. She told me that she will send their project manager, to give us a free estimate. She was very nice and friendly over the phone, she answered all the questions that I had and she was very polite, which leaved me with a good first impression about the company. I called to a few different companies before I got to future vision remodeling, and unfortunately the feeling wasn't the same. It felt like they were rushing to finish the conversation and I didn't like it. We scheduled to meet with DAVID between 9 - 10 am. One more thing that I loved about this company that they are very professional. DAVID came on time, when other companies were late and didn't even bother to inform. Some of them even didn't show up at all . He explained to us the process of the job, he walked through all the small details. He had a lot of knowledge about the job details which was very impressive, because a lot of people in this industry don't have that kind of knowledge which is very sad, to me anyway. When he finished with his presentation he asked for our ideas and our vision of our new studio. When we told him about how would we wanted to our new studio to be look like, he asked us if we would like to see a 3D design of our studio. Of course we wanted to see, who wouldn't, so he took out his laptop and started to design our studio. It took him about 45 min to finish it, but when we saw the design I was speechless. It was everything that we dreamed of. He took in consideration all the things that we told him and he mixed them with some of his ideas and it came out just perfect. Everything that we dreamed of was in front of our eyes. DAVID gave us a very fair price, so we had no doubt whom we should choose for this job. They started the job a few days after like was promised. The whole period of work, Future Vision remodeling tried to do their best to make us as comfortable as possible.
