We are one of a few premier Temecula landscape contractors and designers based in Temecula, CA. We provide a range of services that include both the design and construction of residential landscapes and outdoor living spaces. As Temecula Landscape contractors, A-1 Landscape Design is a full-service landscape construction company with over 30 years of combined experience creating unique outdoor living spaces. We have worked on landscape projects of every size and every type and budget, with a focus on residential installations. Our mission to provide a well designed and professionally installed custom landscape, as well as to foster a design environment that allows for as much input as each client desires. Our goal is to create landscapes that combine our customers’ needs with existing natural landscape features, providing a functional and attractive setting to be enjoyed for years to come. We’re a full-service landscape contractor serving Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Fallbrook and Hemet and we design and install a variety of landscape elements including driveways, walkways, custom-designed fire pits, landscape lighting, gardens, drought tolerant landscape features, and more. We enjoy what we do, are constantly striving for excellence and warranty our work from the ground up. Every landscape and Xeriscape project we take on, no matter the size, gets our full attention to detail. We are a small business but are vertically integrated and have on staff the talent and manpower without subcontracting to others.

My husband and I were having a hard time deciding exactly what we wanted done in our backyard. Our house is 30 years old, we have a large lot and even though it was professionally landscaped many years ago, it needed a complete overhaul. Gary came out and gave us an initial estimate for the work we thought we were going to want to have done. We had had a few other estimates, but no one else really had new ideas for us. Gary really has an artistic eye for design, and showed us some computer drawings of what he thought could be done with it. We decided to use A-1 for our backyard project. His crew was there every morning six days a week, were so knowledgeable about each step of the project, and really did amazing work. As the project progressed, we would talk with Gary about where we were at, if we wanted to change anything, and what the costs would be. We ended up doing more work than we thought we were going to have done, but we wouldn't change a thing. Our yard is absolutely gorgeous! They put all new fences on our property, a shed, a stacked retaining wall, steps, outdoor lighting, a patio and cover, raised fire pit, new sprinklers, sod and some boulders and landscaping. We never imagined our backyard could be this inviting and beautiful. Thank you Gary and Enrique for having the vision and the ability to create this oasis for us! Our family will be enjoying it for many years and creating a lot of wonderful memories here.

I needed landscape done, so I called A1 Landscape and Design and spoke with the owner. He came to my home and discussed all my ideas with me and gave alternatives that DID work better financially and visually. provided everything from design to complete installation. Design included 3D renderings. Decorative Concrete, Raised Fire Pit Area, Retaining Walls, Boulders, Drought Tolerant Plants.

We contacted Gary to do our back yard in a drought tolerant landscape late last week. Gary was there the next day as promised. Provided a quote as well as customer addresses that we could go to to see his completed work. We gave Gary a rough idea of what we needed and he took it from there, We are very happy with the completed work, which by the way was completed just yesterday. That was one week start to finish. The two employees that Gary had do the job were professional and went above and beyond what we had asked for. When they finished the job the yard and areas they worked in were left just as they found them.

I recently had the grass removed from my front yard and replaced with a drought tolerant garden. Gary of A-1 Landscape Design & Construction did a wonderful job of designing my garden. He took some of my ideas and came up with an amazing design. It was a pleasure working with him. His people who did the installation were professional and knowledgeable. They did a great job with the removal of the grass and installing the weed barrier, DG, irrigation, plants, and lighting. I would highly recommend Gary and A-1 Landscape Design & Construction for any of your landscape projects.

We hired A-1 Landscape & Design to design and install our complete landscape including both the front and backyard. Gary, the owner, personally helped us at each step of the way-from the plan submittal to our HOA to the construction and completion. The construction included drought tolerant plants, decorative stamped concrete, custom waterfall, boulders, flagstone, sod and more. Thank you Gary and A-1 Landscape for a job well done!

I contracted A1 landscaping for a large sod job for my backyard. A1 had a great price, but also was timely and professional in the initial meetings. After we had agreed to move forward work began a few days later. I threw a few curveballs at them with adders to the project and personal requests for how to complete the work, and this wasn't at all an issue. The project completed 1 day after the initial estimate, but I was more concerned with the quality of work than anything else. I couldn't ask for a better final product, it is what I envisioned the backyard to look like.

From the planning phase to the completion of our project, Gary's approach was creative, professional and genuine. This was our first big home project, which could have been a stressful undertaking. I called to have a retaining wall installed. Gary met with me the next day and was on time! The work started the very next day and the men worked diligently all day. It took only one day and a half and I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the wall turned out. It was perfectly straight and level, something I noticed they were extremely particular about. Highly Recommended! My wife and I hired Gary for a landscaping project to do our backyard in San Diego. Our budget was tight, but Gary found a way to make it happen. His crew was on time, friendly, and did quality work. Gary and his crew worked through the week every day and even on Saturday to get the project done quickly. Anytime there was an issue, or we wanted something changed or modified, Gary worked with us to make sure that we were happy. I would recommend A-1 Landscaping to anyone looking for quality landscaping at an affordable price.

Beautiful Result!!.........very much better than I expected.Mr Guina was easy to work with, with designs,we agreed on making small fixes as the work progressed .The outcome is better with his suggestions and both our ideas.Excellent workers, din't cut corners.Materials were excellent quality. I had landscaping put in my front yard after removing lawn. I began by hiring a designer who presented a perfect rendition of what my wife and I had envisioned. Next up was A-1 landscaping,and I must say they were up for the challenge . After several back and forth meetings between the designer and A1, very interesting meetings I might add. We have the garden that we envisioned. The job that A1 did was worthy of 4 stars in the end, but it was the owner Gary that lifted it to 5 stars. He honored all requests in order to make us happy. I also am in construction so I appreciate how difficult that can be at times. Thank you Gary.

We can not be happier with the design and work done by A1. Gary and crew were on time each day and worked all day. They cleaned up at the end of the day. Gary kept us aware of any additional charges every time we made changes to the original design. Gary has an artfull mind and delivered an excellent finished product.
