The best in the business. I've known Jason and Joe for 15 years and they are two of the most honest and ethical men I know. They are highly skilled in building science and build quality over quantity. They treat you like family and build your house as if it were their own; I can't imagine going through this process without them by our side!

As a subcontractor we really appreciate a professional general contractor organization and Grainda Builders really epitomizes that attribute. Whether it is working with their customer and presenting their team approach to a project or working with the team of contractors directly they always present a level of professionalism that is rarely seen.

We had a horrendous experience with our first home building endeavor. When we decided to build again, it took 2 years of interviewing different individuals to finally decide on Grainda (had never heard of this builder, but chose them over some much higher profile names around Lake Norman). They worked with us endlessly to get the project on paper! Then the building process was essentially seamless as we "kept an eye on them" (which ultimately proved to be needless). We spent $ 1.1 million on the project, Joe and Jason were in constant contact, and their crew was superb. Joe was at the site on hands and knees "getting dirty" to ensure that the job was done right. Jason ("MacGyver") was always figuring out "another way" to get the answer we were looking for when circumstances presented an issue. We were so ecstatic with the final product that we had an open house party for the neighborhood (we had built our first house in the same neighborhood) with Joe, Jason, and wives as the guests of honor so all the neighbors could meet them and see the final product. We have kept in contact for the little odds and ends that wear out, go wrong, or need touch-up paint on an annual basis, and they have responded quickly and thoroughly to our requests. I would NEVER EVER consider anyone else to build a house for me. We have used custom builders several times in the past, and my wife and I could not be any happier than we were with Grainda Builders. Joe, Jason and the entire staff exceeded all of our expectations and built us a beautiful custom home. They took pride in our home as if it was their own. Making suggestions and steering us in the right direction with an honest and professional flair, they made this project as stress free as possible. If we ever build again, we would not think of using anyone else other than Grainda Builders.

Just Absolutely Amazing. They came in after we had one awful experience for our big Renovation project on our house. This was a structural and cosmetic Renovation of an almost 40 year old house mid century California style house (6,000ft). The Communication was like a fresh of breath air "we would text and we would get a text right back. Something we never received before with our other contractor. David Webb was our project Manager on our house and truly we fell in love with him. His dedication, communication, Timeline, attention to detail and his compassion for what he loves to do it is truly visible. ( pics below 2 are before and 2 after)

Joe and Jason built our home in 2005-6 and the experience was nothing but excellent. Their team added value to the project and dealt with issues that arose with reasonable and timely solutions.Even now, eleven years later, they are available to help with maintenance questions that come up. We now have our house up for sale and are excited to have Grainda Builders get to work on our new home!

We are in the middle of 3 projects using Grainda Builders. So far, they are extremely professional and communicative. David is helping us replace our entire 45 foot front porch with Wolf tongue and groove flooring, replacing skinny round columns with larger square columns and custom railing. In addition, David is in charge of re building a brick retaining wall along our driveway that has collapsed. Finally, we will re-pour sections of our driveway to prevent water from entering our garage. I know Grainda builds beautiful homes but they also do great renovation work.
