Hillside Nurseries transformed our yard with new walkways, walls and plantings. We have the best looking yard in our neighborhood. They were nice and professional throughout the whole process. They told us about all the plantings they were using so we would know how to take care of them. I would highly recommend them for any project. I will use them over and over again. Marc and his crew executed my vision perfectly. He listened to what we wanted, adapted when those desires changed, and always provided options and information so we could make the best choice as some decisions had to be made in real time. Very meticulous and has a great sense of all the technical aspects of the job in addition to the design/aesthetic side. Plan to work with him again soon on the next phase of our landscape design!

Working with Marc at Hillside Nurseries was absolutely a five star experience. Design of the patio: Marc has a great eye for landscape design. He started with some inspirational images that we sent him and then he designed a beautiful patio. And then re-designed it a few times as we adapted what we wanted. Each time, he incorporated artistic nuance that we would never have thought of. He is great at throwing in a few unexpected elements that really add to the overall feel. Marc really enjoys this part of the job and it shows in his designs. Quality of the work: The patio that Marc and team built was absolutely perfect. He and his team are very skilled at their craft. Marc applies a critical eye to the work as if it is his own patio, and he quickly corrects anything he is not satisfied with. He pays close attention to detail. By the end of the project, we had a beautiful patio that is well beyond what we had expected. And one month after the patio is done, I am still finding small nuances of quality that I did not notice at first. Working process: Marc is a pleasure to work with. He is responsive to questions and is a great communicator across all channels (we mostly texted). He was adept at toggling back and forth between communicating with me and with my wife. We always knew where things stood with the project and stayed aligned with Marc the whole time.

Marc and his crew from Hillside Nurseries did an amazing job, from the initial meetings through the design, permitting, and realization of our hardscaping overhaul project. Our home abuts conservation wetlands, and Mark was a valuable partner in navigating the process of hiring wetland scientists and surveyors, and gathering the necessary approvals via hearings with our town conservation commission. He was open, flexible, and collaborative to work with, bringing creative and practical design concepts, and remaining open and responsive to our ideas. The materials and craftsmanship are second to none--the whole crew has remarkable conscientiousness, attention to detail, and skill at both precise and more artistic tasks. Our project was substantial in scope: a 24 foot diameter back patio; a medium sized bluestone patio/landing from the deck; replacement of a rotted wood retaining wall, stairs, and fence with huge stone slab steps and 80 feet of boulders; a complex sweeping obersized geometric front walkway; covering the worn concrete front porch with granite; and clearing feral growth and putting in a crushed stone footprint for installation of a large storage shed. Marc worked well with subcontractors to trench wiring for the shed and replace our aged asphalt driveway, marrying everything up neatly with his hardscape work. Our yard is now much safer and more beautiful and useable for entertaining and family fun. I can't speak highly enough of Marc's and his crew's integrity, competence, attitude, and workmanship! Highly recommended for any size job.

If you are lucky enough to have Marc do work at your house you will not be disappointed. Marc has done three jobs for me and is a perfectionist. Marc cares and listens about your ideas and then takes them to a whole new level. Easily one of the best Hardscape companies in New England. When he saw something that would look good on my job he added it without cost to me just because it was gonna make the project come together better. Who does that? Hillside Nurseries truly care about their customers and it shows through there work.

From start to finish Hillside Nurseries & Florists were great to work with, listening to our vision, designing the perfect landscape plan, brining in the right lighting and irrigation professionals, installing the highest quality plants, sod and creating a custom walkway with excellent craftsmanship. The end result is a new front yard that complements our historic Victorian home.

Marc and his team just completed a 540 square foot natural bluestone patio space for us. This is a project we have been dying to do since we bought our home 4 years ago, and we are so excited to finally have the space we have always dreamed of. Marc is was very approachable and easy to communicate with at every stage of the project -- from the idea phase through to completion. I was highly impressed by his artistic flair and eye for design, and I truly feel like our patio (and everything he does) is one of a kind that you won't find anywhere else. He took into account our lifestyle needs, non-traditional yard shape with existing stone retaining wall, and the natural habitat where our home is, and created a patio that truly looks like it has belonged in our backyard forever. The landscaping (bed design/plants) was superb and truly makes the whole space feel like it "grew there." I can't wait to spend this summer outside enjoying this incredible space, and hope we have the chance to work with Marc and his team on future projects.

This was our second time working with Marc and his team at Hillside and both times were excellent experiences. Marc spent a lot of time working with us on design and budget to create a patio that met our needs. Through the design process he was patient and punctual. The quality of their work is superb, and they do the job the right way the first time around.
