Om os

Hutchinson + Associates is a versatile firm that designs projects from one-room additions for clients' existing homes to the conception and completion of 22,000-square-foot estates. Our success draws from giving our clients what they ask for - even those clients who often times have trouble communicating their needs and desires. How do we do this? By showing our clients interpretive pictures and drawings based on our discussions and drawing on our years of experience working with the consumer. Individualized homes and additions are created by listening carefully to the owner's needs and desires and combining them with the architect's expertise and experience. Each home is unique and yet all showcase a sense of balance, proportion and special attention to details. All of our homes offer excellent circulation and flow throughout the plan, and a good relationship between the indoor and the outdoors. The end results are spaces that are light, comfortable and showcase the homeowner's personality and taste. Hutchinson + Associates LLC is the very best in the DC Metro area. We worked with Bruce. His designs are beautiful and truly respect the existing structure. Our interaction with him has and continues to be nothing but professional. I highly recommend this company.

Bruce Hutchinson was my architect for a recent renovation. We converted a screen porch to a bedroom/sitting room and renovated two bathrooms. Bruce is expert in understanding the structural and engineering aspects of building and he is an able designer. Furthermore, he is the epitome of professionalism.

Bruce Hutchinson was the architect on my custom 5,000 square foot home. We worked together for 5 years on the blueprints for the dream house I had been planning for 25 years. He helped me to sort through all of my requirements, provided data to help me make cost effective decisions, shepherded me through the entire process and then designed my house to be simply gorgeous inside and out as well as functional, energy efficient, and integrated with the landscape. He was a consummate professional who met every deadline. He is a careful listener and became a friend who I would built another house with without hesitation. We have lived in the house for the last 5 years and there are many days when I so grateful to Bruce for all of the items big and small that make this house truly amazing.
