Ibarra Rosano Design Architects is one of the preeminent young firms in the desert Southwest. Their work fits in with and defers to the landscape while being clear, compelling, and striking in its own right. Their work has restraint, and yet produces delight. Luis and Teresa have the rare ability to both serve a client and develop a significant work of architecture. I have hired both of them to teach at the University of Arizona School of Architecture and consider them essential members of the Faculty. I highly recommend their work.

I have worked with Teresa and Luis as an HVAC, plumbing and electrical consultant for many years. Their attention to detail, both for what the client can and cannot see, is commendable. Often the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems are overlooked in the design phase of a building. This is not the case with any of Teresa and Luis’s projects. Their involvement with the consultants to provide a well thought out HVAC, plumbing and electrical system starts at the very beginning of the design phase. It has been a pleasure working with them.

I have worked with Ibarra Rosano Design for over 10 years. I have watched them transform mundane homes into livable works of art. They have an amazing attention to detail which results in projects of outstanding quality. I can't say enough about how great it is too work with them. They ask the right questions with the clients in mind and come up with unique solutions and designs.

Ibarra Rosano designed an architectural gem and, at the same time, created a home that is livable and, although half the size of our previous home, feels larger, more spacious and in tune with the surrounding environment. They are a pleasure to work with and listened to our needs with openness, respect and flexibility. Luis and Teresa are a pleasure to work with. We admire them both as professionals and friends. Our project was a collaboration of their vision and our own desires of how we wanted to live in our home. Because this was a remodel there were some limitations, particularly from the street view of the house. That actually became a strength because seeing the house from the outside does not give any clue of what the interior looks like. We love the element of surprise as our guests enter the house and as we enter from the garage. We believe that when you love your home more everyday then the result we achieved was a huge success. Clean, yet, warm. Great use of space and projection of scale. I could go, but in conclusion, Luis and Teresa utilized their talent and listened to what we wanted. A beautiful combination.

We used Ibarra Rosano Architects for a house addition/remodel. We were and are so pleased with all aspects of their work and love the space they designed for us. They are not only very talented but they are also a pleasure to work with - thorough, attentive to detail and responsive. We have an older home and they were able to build something that suited our modern needs but is complimentary to the original architecture of our home.

The architects provided complete design and construction supervision. We described our living style and they suggested several ideas. We selected one and the project turned out to be excellent. They were very good to work with. Before plans were drawn they had a side survey, elevations, views, major plants, etc. The house was situated to take advantage of the mountain views and not disturb the vegetation as much as possible. They were very sensitive to the environment. It was a joy to work with Teresa and Luis. We would do it again without reservation.

Milestone Homes

We have been building custom homes in Tucson for over 20 years and working with Luis & Teresa has been a pleasure. Not only do they have really creative ideas that work great in our desert surroundings, but they genuinely care deeply about their clients ultimate enjoyment in the house. What separates Ibarra Rosano from most other architects is the thoroughness, clarity and completeness of their drawings. This allows both our subcontractors and ourselves to more easily understand what we have to do, which translates into better pricing, fewer mistakes or required change orders, and shorter time frames to finish the projects.

As a general contractor, I have had the pleasure to bid on several IbarraRosano projects and have found that their plans are specific, thorough, and complete. Their knowledge and experience in pre-planning incorporates construction methods that apply to the building process. The specific connections, materials, and overall function of each detail are very well expressed. Their high capacity to demonstrate the intention of their design makes the bidding process and ultimately the home building process a success.

Luis and Teresa designed a spectacular house for us. It fulfilled all of our dreams and more. From the earliest plans, the house was designed to incorporate a large, mountainous lot. Their idea was to draw the outside in and this was beautifully accomplished. The house is very comfortable and very livable for our family. We have everything we asked for in the house (and we had a long list for the architects). I would highly recommend Ibarra Rosano Architects to anyone. We love to show off their beautiful work! Kommenteret: Love the cabinets, who manufactured them?Those are custom built by a local fabricator and friend, Mark Perry - who I believe is not currently working on kitchens.
