Irene was engaged to help create a WOW bedroom. With Irene's, expertise, knowledge and style helped us create a beautiful space.

I am very happy with the advice received and ideas provided by Irene. Her creativity and sense of aesthetics are phenomenal! I definitely recommend her to bring new life into your home.

Unfortunately I have to withdraw my original review of Irene. She impressed us very well and complemented our taste of decoration but left us without ANY guidance for two other started jobs. Her wrap up of work done lucked professionalism. She wrongly chose a coffee table that was too big for the area and had to be creative suggesting an ottoman on wheels (we didn't find that option attractive at all) to correct it. HER MISTAKE cost us money since the table could not be returned. There was no resentment on our part for her mistake but then she disappeared. Never was able to contact her again nor returned our calls to finish, at least the master bathroom. We understand if she was ashamed of her mistake but to leave us stranded was not very kosher on her part. Alberto and Glenda

Irene has led a variety of projects (including complete remodels of three bathrooms and a kitchen) for us over the years, and we would not consider anyone else. Irene is creative, technically highly skilled and identifies the most interesting products -- while always understanding and respecting the client's taste and needs. Her eye for colour, whether bathroom tile, paint or fabric, is remarkable. What we have particularly appreciated is that she has always managed to make such functional use of the space, and to do so with flare.

Irene is so positive and has great ideas for your home. I could feel her energy and we clicked right away. She's aware that budget can be a concern and gives us ideas that fit our budget. Thanks for helping us create an amazing space Irene.

I hired Irene in 2002 and we worked on our home for 5 years- completing it in 2007. Over the 5 years we worked together on the house and of course became good friends. Upon meeting Irene, she took the time to get to know our family and lifestyle in order to create a vision to convert our house to a home. Irene combined both her ideas and ours and was able to communicate the vision throughout the process as we totally remodelled our the house from top to bottom. We moved walls, staircases, bathrooms and refinished a basement. Irene came up with some really neat ideas which added some little unusual surprises to our home- and to this day guests are always intrigued by them. Our home has a great flow through it with all the colours and decorating ideas- it just all comes together. Irene is very professional in her work and takes the time to research what you would like. We liked the fact that we could work over the years with Irene and take our time to think things over and enjoy creating and inspiring the ideas to be put in our home. She made sure that I was always focused in the right direction of decorating We wanted to be part of remodelling our home which Irene understood and always took our ideas in consideration and made it work.

Staron design remodelled our Rideau Center location. Irene Staron was extremely professional in all her dealings with us, and the landlord. she was always on time and was very considerate of our budget. she helped us source and secure many aspects of the renovation such as the ceramic tiles, and the lighting. she followed through every step of the way on the renovations. we would highly recommend her.

Staron Design has provided me with a professional service devoted to what my vision is of my home. With her intelligence and wisdom; Irene is able to hear your ideas and integrate them with her vision and experience. In my original work with Staron Design I asked that my laundry room be changed to a bathroom. This service created a design in record time and assisted me in choosing the materials for the project. I love how Staron Design is able to integrate client needs in both the planning and implementation phases of the project. Her positive attitude through this process creates a sense of excitement for her customers.

Staron Design (Irene Staron) was instrumental in my Kitchen Renovation. At my first meeting, Irene Listened to my wishes , budget and timeline, and together we came up with a wonderful proposal and plan. Irene handled all coordination of trades and helped me significantly with color coordination and selection. Irene was on site at any given time overseeing the project which left me to continue with my own work and schedule. I would highly recommend Staron Design for a worry free renovation! I have never worked with an interior designer before, but now I truly appreciate how a designer can help you create the home you want. One of the things I really appreciate about Irene is her ability to accommodate your personal style and habits into the any design recommendations. Given we have a 6 foot sarcophagus for a liquor cabinet in the dining room and a lego star wars death star as a primary feature in our basement it was essential that we found a designer who wasn't going to try and turn our house into a demo home, but would help us create a space that accommodated our day to day routines and reflected the ever evolving personalities and tastes of our family. Irene has been able to help us get more out of the space and items we already have. Her suggestions for reorganizing the furniture in our living room cost us nothing but time but finally gave us the conversation and lounging space we have been trying to create since we moved in 15 years ago. Our front entrance hallway which connects our living room to the rest of the house (and leads into the dining room with the sarcophagus) was never a space we thought about, by moving a few paintings, replacing a runner with two carpets Irene sourced for us, investing in a light for a painting and a couple of small bookcases, our entranceway is now something that really welcomes you to our home and provides a natural transition from the living room to the dining room despite to very different décor themes in each room. It really is a journey with Irene, as you gradually work on the spaces that you want to transform. Some changes you make quickly, others take longer. It may take a few months to build a house, but it takes a lifetime to create your home. Irene has provided great guidance and we are looking forward to continuing to work with Irene as we continue to create our home.
