I posted a review in September 2017 and gave this company a glowing endorsement that was correct at the time I wrote it. Now some 4 years later I have experienced problems with corrosion on the colour bond cladding used in the house. I took photographs of the corrosion and then took steps to rectify the problem by installing new wall screws, cleaning the areas of corrosion and then painting the areas. The corrosion was only occurring around the wall screws. I was aware that by painting the area I would possibly void any warranty but was confident that Tasbuilt would do something after I showed them the photographs of the corrosion, as it was quite unusual and would not be expected in wall cladding only three years old. I believed they were such a great company and I had only had positive experiences in my dealings with them. However, the supplier of the wall cladding would not honour the warranty as I had painted the area of corrosion, and Tasbuilt made no offers to replace or rectify the problem, it is a relatively small wall. This is a true test of a company when you have problems a few years down the track, wether they are willing to assist or just fob you off. I am now extremely disappointed in the way Tasbuilt has acted as I believed they aspired to a higher level of customer service, and I had always experienced this when building the house. It is so disappointing that they just did not really want to know me when I had a problem.

Unfortunately our opinion of Tasbuilt homes has been soured by the fact that we have been waiting for over two years for them to finish off our home. Beware of the term “practical completion” in their contract because that does not mean your home will be completed when you are given an occupancy certificate and allowed to move in. Their promise of a twelve month follow up on issues that arise never eventuated and I eventually had to contact them. I have a list of items that need fixing and I get promised repeatedly that they will be fixed. Firstly they set dates which are not honoured and when they do attend they send “maintenance” staff instead of trade’s people to do the jobs. The maintenance staff are allocated a time limit to perform work which is always grossly underestimated and as such the jobs are rushed. Our home has actually been left in a worse state than it was before Tasbuilt “fixed” some of the items. Wake up Tasbuilt ..... you have great product and a some exceptional staff but that will account for nothing unless you take a close look at how situations like ours are allowed to run on.

Tasbuilt were very helpful in the design of our new home with attention to detail and very good workmanship. The staff were always accommodating and the building was finished on time. We liked that the budget was agreed to up front and all the details completed before construction began. The building in the factory was fast but slower to complete once on site. All the minor problems arising have been rectified. We are very satisfied with the result.

TasBuilt were easy to deal with, no nonsense, respectful and honest which is not something that all companies can boast of. I'm really happy with the finished product and the service. Some of the main factors which made this so professional was the communication from the TasBuilt team, the fast time from start to finish and the value for money. I will definitely build with them again

We decided to use TASBUILT after we had a look at their construction site at Westbury. We were impressed by the quality of their houses and their approach to us. We felt that we could trust this company right from the start. Planning, design and construction at Westbury went really well and we are very happy with the result. A beautiful house which attracts admiration in the region. Project management on the building site could have been better and would have reduced the project time schedule by far, which was important for us. Locally used contractors contributed to the difficulties that eventuated during site construction and finishing touches. We would use TASBUILT again should we have another project.

We chose Tasbuilt after visiting a nearby house which they constructed, where the owners were very pleased with the finished product. We are similarly delighted with the result of our project. We put a number of design and construction challenges before them: a new cladding material, a split-level deck, a seriously elevated siting, and all these they accomplished without difficulty. We wanted to preserve a patch of native grass in front of the building, and again their careful approach achieved what we asked. The offsite build was rapid and resulted in minimal disruption to the site and the neighbours. Living interstate, we made occasional visits to the house during construction, but were also excited to watch the progress online. And the spectacle on the day of delivery was amazing! Throughout the process, Tasbuilt have been communicative and sensitive, open to changes along the way, and we feel they have bent over backwards to deliver a premium outcome.

This company offered exceptional customer service and a complete build package. We live interstate and chose Tasbulit to build our house on the North East coast of Tasmania. From our initial contact to the handover, the process was seamless and effortless. The build time was exceptionally fast and attention to detail is faultless. These homes are built to a high standard and you should not consider them as a "transportable" home. The modular build offsite allows for complete control of the build process and once transported to site the homes look great. Tasbuilt are a great alternative to a traditional build on site. I cannot recommend this builder highly enough.

The TASBUILT team were easy to work with. Right from the planning & design phase through to the actual build, they were accommodating, flexible & committed in their delivery. My house nestles down into the landscape, taking full advantage of the rural outlook through its extensive windows, sliding glass doors, easterly patio & north facing balcony. Inside, the house enjoys an abundance of natural light. Configuration of the bedrooms, allows for their alternate use as a study & extra living room, if required. Very pleased with the result.

we have just had a house and unit built from start to finish the were great they keep you updated with pic of you house as it is being constructed we had the unit completely finished we just have sone painting and a few other thing to do at our request. the house was just to lock up stage but from the time that we had council approval it took no time at all and they were bringing them down to put on our land
