Treehouses are wonderful earth-friendly constructions that put people in touch with nature in a safe, happy way. We serve you and nature via carefully designed organic ,sustainable architecture; using green and / or, if you want, recycled material; our treehouses having minimal impact on the trees, following the rules of old school feng shui; conserving energy; and creating structures that endure and that really matter. We use low VOC paint and sealers when possible, and avoid pressure treated lumber and synthetic wood. For children's structure, we take care to build to safety codes and further we are careful to round over sharp corners and sand splinters away. Also in line with our "Play, Study, Create" philosophy we try and incorporate a build-in desk into children's treehouses and larger play houses. We're licensed contractors and carry workman's compensation insurance for your and our workers' protection. Also have professional experience with estimating and advising re insurance claims on treehouse damage. FEMA trained disaster housing inspector and seismic retrofitter. Treehouse design though is my forte. Can advise / help owner builders keep design on course.

We, at Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, are SO grateful to have been able to work with John Lionheart on 3 separate wishes for custom-built tree houses and forts/structures. We worked with him first in 2010 to complete a tree house wish that was well beyond our scope and he and his team created an elaborate and professionally-built tree house for Brian, who was 14 at the time. We partnered with John again in 2012 to build two other wish tree forts, one was a custom rocket ship design, and the other was a custom train design fort. Aside from the high quality product, creativity and worksmanship that John provides, he is also one of the most generous and giving people I know. He donated a lot to these projects to make them happen. We look forward to working with him again in the near future on some new tree house/fort wishes we have in process. THANK YOU JOHN!

John was great, he build a treehouse for me on a very difficult slope. He added lots of special touches like a stain glass window and bamboo siding. He was timely and kept me updated along the way. He's a great builder and person.

John Henry is one of the finest craftsmen I've had the pleasure of working with. He designed and built a treehouse control room for one of our venues. It exceeded all expectations we had - in terms of eco friendliness (completely built out of scrap wood with not a single nail in the tree) and architecture (perfect front-of-the-house coverage for audio and light controls). John has an almost spiritual approach to construction lending his creations to blend naturally with the surroundings. He consulted with us at every important step of the project to ensure our requirements were being suitably addressed. John has an extremely positive demeanor and does business with total honesty. He ended up saving us hundreds of dollars on the control room treehouse project without compromising project function or quality.
