Jordan Rodbell

Jordan Rodbell is an experienced healthcare manager with a solid background in information technology, counseling, and office management. This blended experience complements his work as he completes his Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management at the Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia. At Emory, he’s dual-enrolled in the university’s Goizueta Business School, where his coursework consists of entrepreneurship and business management. Jordan’s goal is to work within healthcare facilities or non-governmental organizations to help those groups promote wellness and sound public health policies. His education background is as diverse as his personal and professional interests. His undergraduate degree is in business administration and management information systems. Jordan worked in the IT field for years, developing networking and information-management solutions for several healthcare facilities with a team of technicians. It was in these facilities that he became interested in a more patient-oriented role. He quickly transitioned into the substance abuse treatment field, serving as house manager and admissions associate for a Florida-based treatment center. His foundation in information management was vital to his success at the facility; by coordinating with the medical and clinical staff members, he was able to streamline their work processes which made the facility’s daily operations run that much smoothly. Jordan instituted a system by which he was able to record patient behavioral histories, meeting directly with incoming new patients to determine for what reasons they chose to seek treatment. By capturing this information, the patients’ substance abuse treatment programs could be tailored to each person’s unique needs, helping to ensure quality of care throughout their stay at the treatment facility. Jordan believes in giving back to society with charitable works. For several years, he has been involved with the Jewish Family and Career Services of Atlanta, an organization that provides counseling, job placement services, and other vital career-oriented training to young individuals and their families throughout the Atlanta metro region. Jordan knows that people from any religion, race, or economic circumstance can use a hand sometimes, and he feels strongly that those with extra time and talent should give freely to the community organizations in their areas.
