I recently had the pleasure of working with Janet Marena who is an incredible interior designer and I cannot praise her talent and expertise enough. From start to finish, she went above and beyond to help us create both a beautiful and functional living environment for our home. I met Janet a few years prior to our remodel and when I decided that I needed help in the middle of our remodel, Janet was the person that I turned to and she helped me to turn my dreams into reality. Right from our initial consultation, it was evident that Janet possessed a exceptional understanding of space, color and design. She listened attentively to our ideas, preferences and lifestyle needs and turned them into a beautiful living environment. Her communication skills are fabulous not only does she really listen, she also communicates well with contractors, subcontractors and vendors with both humor and kindness. She also was able to negotiate very skillfully between my husband and I when needed. She is also very organized and kept track of all the many details associated with a remodel like paint colors, tile, vendors, and fixtures just to name a few. I could always count on her to remember something as seemingly mundane as the grout color that we chose. There are so very many decisions and things to remember in a remodel or new house build that it was great to have Janet there to help me remember exactly what was chosen. She also helped me to pull all my fixtures together - rugs, light fixtures, hardware, bathroom fixtures - to create a home that flows and is beautiful. She also knows where to purchase fixtures and reliable and good people to work with. I could count on her recommendations. Janet also has an amazing eye for color whether it is a wall color, carpet color, trim color or color of cabinets. Picking colors is so much more difficult that it seems but with Janet’s expertise, my house looks amazing. I absolutely adore every color that we picked and I have had so many compliments on my paint colors. In fact, artist friends of ours even copied some of the colors when they remodel their home. In addition to her immense talent, she was an absolute pleasure to work with. She displayed the utmost professionalism, always be punctual, organized and respectful of our budget. Her friendly demeanor and positive attitude made the experience enjoyable and stress-free. In fact of all the people we dealt with during our remodel, she was by far my favorite. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Janet to anyone seeking a transformative and personalize design experience. Her exceptional skills, attention to detail and dedication to customer satisfaction truly sets her apart. I truly enjoyed consulting with Janet Marena of JMT Interiors to redesign a sunroom, a den, dining room, and formal living room, as well as select paint colors for additional rooms in our home. Throughout the design process, Janet focused on understanding my style as the homeowner/client. To develop a detailed personalized plan, she asked analytical questions and offered suggestions, which guided me in visualizing both the “Big Picture” and the smallest detail. She was a great listener! Knowledgeable and perceptive, she researched and shopped both with me and independently to find real treasure choices! (I did reuse some older pieces of furniture.) Janet helped us with our temporary rental in California before moving to our new townhouse in Seattle. It is important to Janet to understand her client's needs, desires and the space . She visited the townhouse in Seattle from the early construction phase and created suggestions, detailed measured plans and advice to best use the space in which we were to live. She understood the importance, that before actually moving into our new home, the window shades had to be installed. Although her business is in California, she found the best installation team in Seattle. Because she understood our needs and the living space, she helped guide us to design centers that provided the best options. Janet is extremely competent, professional, a good listener and follows through with every aspect of a project.
