Kathleen Walsh's tailored and serene interiors are the right balance of interesting details, luxury, and the perfect imperfection of things that are made by hand. The New England-raised entrepreneur entered Pratt Institute for fashion but discovered what she really loved was the tactile, three-dimensional qualities of fabric and the transformational qualities of color. Interiors allowed her to combine both with her love of architecture and sculpture. She finished her studies with a BFA in Interior Design and then earned her MBA in Management from Baruch College. Walsh spent a decade working with some of New York's leading designers and architects on residential and commercial projects internationally and throughout the greater New York area before establishing her own firm in 2004. She also created, designed, and managed the production of oona bedding, a customizable line of baby and kids’ bed linens she sold to select high-end boutique stores and interior designers. Her projects include primary and secondary residences in New York City, Westchester and Fairfield Counties, The Hamptons, New England, and beyond.

Kathleen Walsh is a consummate professional. Many designers try to force their design concept onto the clients. Kathleen is one of the few Designers I have worked with (and I have been in business 30 years) who listens to the client and then creates a design within the client’s budget & design tastes. Kathleen & her associates are talented, responsive and just plain nice to work with. I have worked with Kathleen on small projects, of just one cabinet, up to entire apartment renovations. Her team is accessible and always helpful in solving all the problems that can arise during a renovation process. I Highly recommend Kathleen Walsh for any design project you have in mind.

Her team at Kathleen Walsh interiors leaves no detail untouched from the perfect color for your bathroom to the most organized communication you could ask for from an interior design firm. I have worked with Kathleen Walsh Interiors for over 17 years on 5 different homes, most recently we worked together on the home my family and I live in on Martha's Vineyard. It is thanks to her that there isn't a day that passes that I don't love my home. She has the ability to take in who you are, what your family needs and creates a space that is your home. Holmes Hole Builders, LLC is a fine homebuilding company on the island of Martha's Vineyard and our clients hired Kathleen Walsh Interiors, LLC to do the interior decorating on our Grey Barn project. Our crew worked hand in hand with Kathleen and her staff during the later stages of the project. They were professional, friendly, efficient and knowledgable, and the home came together effortlessly and without delays. Their staff made sure all our questions were answered in a timely manner. Kathleen has an amazing eye and impecable taste and the homeowners felt included in every aspect of the design. To build a home as spectacular as The Grey Barn, it took a professional team willing to work together to achieve a client's hopes and dreams.
