The team did really nice work. They worked long days, kept the areas relatively clean and paid a lot of attention to details and wanted to get things right. Kyle was fair on pricing out design changes and worked to get us discounts on materials.

Laura Moore

We worked with Sharrison on making updates to our kitchen including new floors, backsplash, counter top, installing a new light fixture & cupboard and repainting our cupboards. Kyle and team did a great job both with the work itself and advising us on finishes. If minor issues arose, the team was easy to work with in terms of making fixes. We'd happily work with them again.

I hate writing bad reviews, but I chose this company based on good online reviews and I want to share my experiences so that should you choose to go forward, you do so on an informed basis. Our issues include: - Gutted the bathroom, then vacated the site for over a month and weren't transparent about when they'd be able to return - Burst a pipe which leaked into the kitchen, leaving the ceiling open for months, finally I had to pay another contractor to fix it - Agreed to do 3 jobs, unfortunately none of them were complete (mutually agreed that we'd have to find other contractors) - Required us to pay in installments ahead of time, which we did, then when the scope was reduced, did not pay back the full amount that we believe we're owed We had to find and pay for other contractors to do the work that this company agreed to do. As a young couple living in downtown Toronto, this had a significant impact on our finances. Just want everyone to be fully informed.

I’m sorry that you are unhappy with how your project resolved. However, I feel it’s important to acknowledge the difficulties we faced with your renovation that contributed to the delays and unfinished work.

There were elements of the job that required preparations on your part, that you were aware were your responsibility, that were not ready for us in the agreed to timeframe. By not having finishes organized, we lost the availability of certain trades that had their own schedules to keep. Upon reading the contract, you recognized that these types of delays would result in having to wait until these skilled workers were available to return to complete the job. You made the decision to employ another contractor to finish the work in the timeframe of your choosing, rather than allowing us to reschedule and come back to finish for the agreed upon amount. All contracts are accompanied with a personalized payment schedule that is prepared and agreed upon prior to signing. When, due to scheduling issues, it became apparent that certain jobs would not be carried out by Sharrison Painting & Renovations, your invoice was reviewed and revised to include an exculpated balance and a reimbursement (that was based on the costs Sharrison Painting & Renovations originally quoted you for these jobs). An itemized list was sent to you along with a detailed explanation of the breakdown. We made a point of stating that should you have any questions or concerns, that we would go over anything that was unclear. We did not hear from you again for another 30+ days to confirm your refund. In your eventual response, there was no mention of being dissatisfied with the amount of compensation. Again, I am sorry you were displeased with your dealings with Sharrison Painting & Renovations; and assure you that we continue to strive for excellence in both our work and customer service.

Sharrison Painting and Renovations renovated our kitchen and dining room, The work quality is excelllent. It involved removing a wall and structural work. Every thing that needed to be done was explained clearly, allowed us to make informed decisions. The team's expertise and guidance made for a successful project. We could not be happier with the work. They were a pleasure to work with.

Kyle and the team were great to work with. Kyle spent a great deal of time getting to understand what we wanted done and helped us come up with what turned out to be my dream bathroom! The attention to detail was great, the team were very clean and organized and were able to make tweaks here and there to the plan without issue and with great patience. Very happy to recommend Sharrison Painting and Renovations!

I hired Sharrison Painting and Renovations company to fully renovate my bathroom. The project is not finished The shower grout is dirty, the company refuses to finish the job, blames me for dirty bathroom Not acceptable Don’t hire, don’t pay

Kyle was great to work with and understood very well the look we wanted and everything that needed to be done. The project included: replacing a single sink vanity with a custom-built double sink vanity with a caesar stone counter; installing two new electrical outlets & new faucets; replacing a frame shower door with a seamless glass one and installing glass shelves in the shower. We also had a new kitchen faucet installed. Although the project was not huge it was complex and involved a number of trades. Kyle's subcontractors were experienced professionals who did an excellent job. Since we are in a condo, Kyle had to jump through many hoops to get all the necessary approvals and did it with great patience and goodwill. He also stayed on budget and kept us informed when the custom work took a little longer than anticipated. In all, we would recommend Kyle for any type of renovation whether it be in a house or condo, big or small.

We got an under the stairs powder room done and Kyle and his team were lovely. Kyle was easy to work with and very communicative throughout the entire process. We'd had an awful previous experience with a contractor who didn't show up and Kyle went above and beyond our expectations after that unfortunate situation. There were some hiccups like pushing back the start date a few times and things in the design which we couldn't do (to be expected) but in terms of the craftsmanship, attention to detail and attentiveness to the project my husband and I were very happy. The work was done in slightly less time then expected. We had to build it into an archway which we were reluctant about but it couldn't have turned out better. Kyle is very calm which helps make the renovation process easy. His guys were polite, helpful and diligent. I would work with Kyle again in the future.

We recently worked with Sharrison painting and renovations after a friend had recommended them. Renovations can be stressful and overwhelming but Kyle helped make the process easier for us. He is professional, extremely responsive and very collaborative. Estimates are thorough and fair and he takes the time to address all questions or concerns, regardless of the stage of the project. Nothing goes perfectly, but changes to plans or unforeseen issues were brought forward quickly and he always had solutions ready. His team who worked on our bathroom were professional, courteous and such hard workers. We are really pleased with the final product and plan on working with Kyle again for our next project.

I have worked with Sharrison Painting and Renovations, and the company's owner Kyle, on a number of occasions over the past 3 years. From completely gutting my condominium (flooring, kitchen, bathroom, cabinet making, painting) to home improvements in my 4-bedroom home, to water-proofing my basement and installing a new roof, Kyle and his team have shown the highest level of professionalism. Always reliable, always accountable, Kyle does a great job of setting expectations for each project and keeping the homeowner informed. He always explains why and how things will be done and answers any and all questions. He is also responsive to special requests and has not been afraid to show flexibility when I have wanted to make changes on a project mid-way through. The quality of workmanship is excellent and Kyle always stands behind his team's work. No home improvement project goes perfectly, but Kyle will always be there to address any issues that arise in a timeline and professional manner. He has been a true partner for me and I will continue to count on him for future home improvement projects. Highly recommended!

Kyle and his crew are exceptional workers. The job involved a complete gut job of the basement, and rebuilt to include a bedroom, washroom, kitchenette, new furnace, and new electrical and piping. The quality of the work is top notch, and Kyle is a very friendly person to work with. He listens to your concerns and makes sure you are happy with the final product. I have already recommended him to my friends in the past and will continue to do so.
