Laara`s work has encompassed all areas of design from consultancy, strategic planning, landscape planning, conceptual design, master plans, to details such as water features, lighting, wood and timber, metal and glass design. Through to the softer elements of planting design, plant sourcing and specimen sourcing for projects. Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of natural stone and masonry, topiary, clipped form and specimen plants. Including bespoke fabrication, traditional fabrication and crafts, project management and overseeing with many years of experience working with craftsmen/women. Lighting: The Fourth Dimension

Laara has great style and a feel for design and plants. Her use of colour and structure in her gardens is excellent whilst always mindful of the space and aspect of the garden. I would highly recommend Laara if you are seeking a garden designer with a passion for design and plants.

Laara spent a very cold morning trying to make head or tail of my triangular garden with me, fitting in table, BBQ, wood store & rabbit hutch and covering up a very long fence!. She listened, built on my ideas and came up with a fun, lovely, practical but (hopefully!) stunning design which I can't wait to get on with!!!

I hired Laara to design my garden layout. She was exceptionallly professional and knowledgeable and worked with me to create a design that I was very pleased with. I found her service excellent value for money and I was left with a hard copy I could show to a landscaper to carry out the scope of works. Laara even out me in touch with 3 recommended landscapers of which one I have instructed to carry out the works. I would highly recommend Laara and would use her services again when required.

Uso le fotografie caricate su Houzz per comporre degli IdeaBook. Sono molto ben fatte, dai toni delicati. le composizioni sono gradevolissime e gli scatti nitidi. Le macro rendono perfettamente i dettagli e semplificano le identificazioni delle piante. sarebbe gradita una maggior cura nella descrizione delle specie fotografate.

Quirky and instantly likeable, Laara has the ability to get to the heart of what her customers really want. Her combination of plant knowledge and creativity in designing the hard landscaping is inspiring and it has been a pleasure collaborating with her on several projects. I have recommended her to many of my customers knowing that she would do an excellent job for them.

More than a few times I've checked to see who the landscape designer was when viewing a well-designed garden and it's Laara's work. These were diverse properties, ranging from a clean and contemporary garden to classic boxwood to perennial gardens that look like they just grew that way. Her work is brilliant.

Laara provided a professional and collaborative landscape design for a complicated 1 acre (0.4 hectares) domestic development. She was friendly, punctual and worked well with the project architect. The design has not yet been implemented but as the project progresses we aim to instal as proposed in her designs.

I recently contacted Laara with a specific question on a bamboo species that she had incorporated into one of her garden designs. Laara was very quick to respond to my email and offered me extremely detailed advice, not only on which bamboo type we should use for our planters, but also excellent recommendations on how to best prepare the planters for root containment. I found Laara to be knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely interested in making sure I understand the "tools" to make the bamboo thrive! Builders have recently taken out or damaged many of my shrubs and plants. I decided to use this as an opportunity to do something new in the garden and, to this end, I consulted Laara. As I did not have a lot of money to spend, we arranged a short consultation with a single site visit to focus on creating some shape and structure for the garden. Laara helped me to focus my ideas and together we gradually built up a picture of how my garden could look. As she was on site, Laara could easily tell me which of my ideas and wishes were viable and which of them were unrealistic. At the end of the visit, Laara sketched a plan of the garden with all the details that we had talked about and agreed upon. I can now use this plan to make the changes in the garden in stages. Over time, I will be able to create a new and fresh garden without having to do it all in one single expensive overhaul. Laara has a nice light touch. She guided me away from unworkable ideas and took the workable ones and expanded and developed them. She simplified my choices as my mind had become overwhelmed with all the possible options. At the same time, she recognised my desire for change and gave me some good ideas to work with. I would recommend Laars for her ability to understand and interpret client needs.
