We used Lacey to repair/replace the subfloor on our entire upper level, and to do a complete kitchen renovation. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish. Simon's initial estimate for cost and timeline of the project was very accurate. There were no surprises or changes along the way (aside from the ones we wanted to make). The whole crew was very professional and considerate - we were always kept informed of what the next step would be and when to expect (or not expect) someone to be in the house. The quality of workmanship was also very high throughout the project. We've had our new upstairs for almost 3 months now and we honestly wouldn't change a single thing. Lacey Construction was recommended to us by a friend. We were immediately impressed by the responsiveness and individualized approach which was evident in how Simon provided us with a range of options based on our budget, tastes, and desired time for project completion. We were treated with respect and consideration and have not once regretted our decision to partner with Lacey for our renos which included a two part project: 1. kitchen, main bathroom, ensuite bathroom, and walk-in closet (8 weeks - completed on budget and on time), and 2. downstairs bathroom and laundry room upgrade (3 weeks, completed on budget and on time). Blaine was our project manager for each phase of the renos, and he was amazing at keeping us informed of the progress and timeline throughout the entire process. He was always available to answer questions and was a steady presence throughout the project. There were no down times - every day there was progress being made and trades people were lined up in ways that were efficient and kept everything moving along. Although we were impressed with the quality of the workmanship by all contractors and trades people, a special shout out to Kevin who shows up on time, works hard every day, and made steady and measurable progress every hour on the job. Overall I have to say how impressed we were with the high quality of the professionalism, courtesy, and workmanship of every member of the team involved in our renos. Lacey built our Coach House and shop. I can’t imagine working with another contractor. They were extremely honest and transparent from beginning to end. Any problems that arose during construction was always dealt with and never left unresolved.

We did a huge renovation on our very old house, and working with Lacey made it so much easier! It is always a stressful process to live in only half of your house at a time while construction is going on, but Nitz and all the other workers were so professional and pleasant to have around that it was even kind of fun! The work was amazing quality, and the constant need to re-adjust plans around the problems presented by our old and weird house were handled so easily. I was really impressed by the consistency of the process; once the work started, they showed up everyday and just got it done. Coordinating and timing all the various trades is so complicated but Nitz handled it all very well, even in this busy and complicated time for contractors. I'm so glad to be finished with my renovations, but I will honestly miss having my new friends from Lacey around. Too bad the high-quality of the work means I won't be needing to hire them again any time soon.

The quality of workmanship was excellent. The crews had a real eye for a professional work and quality completion. No detail was too small. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Communication between us and the lead man, and the crews was perfect. We hope to have them work on our next project, updating and remodeling our downstairs basement. We had the privilege to work with Lacey construction in the construction of our steel shop and new home. The entire Lacey team worked to deliver a home of exceptional quality while staying true to our vision and staying on budget. I don’t often write reviews, it has to be something spectacular for me to feel the need to comment. Such is the case of my experience with Lacey Construction. I was seeking a contractor to renovate our kitchen. My experiences with other contractors for other parts of our house remodel was less than stellar. I found Lacey through Houzz. I was impressed by their credentials and the many positive reviews. So I called them. From my first meeting with Simon Poulton, I immediately felt I could trust them to do my kitchen renovation. Simon was friendly, honest and very down to earth. We discussed my vision and he provided me with various options and suggestions to consider. Once we agreed on the work to be done, a timetable was put in place. The workers were all exceptional and skilled in their own specialities, and they were multi-talented. Everyone was always on time and worked diligently. They made sure the work space was kept clean throughout the project, and most important to me, I was kept informed all the way, from who was coming to do what and when. From start to finish, the entire project took about 7 weeks. This was a complete kitchen gut, down to bare wood. I’m happy to say my newly renovated kitchen now reflects my vision and our lifestyle. We are very happy with the end result of our cabin renovation completed by the Lacey Team. Over a year into living in our new home, we still stop and marvel at how beautifully it all came together. Lacey had come as a recommendation to us from a trusted friend. After exploring quotes/options for our project with a few contractors, Lacey was easily our top choice. From our first meeting with Tanya and Simon we felt comfortable. Ours was a whole home renovation - adding some living quarters for my mother, and updating nearly everything else. At times it was difficult to visualize how everything would come together - we were choosing finishes and fixtures at different times - but we are extremely happy with the end results. We appreciated Tanya's design knowledge and expertise in everything from coming up with the floorplans to narrowing down what would otherwise be overwhelming options for finishes. Tanya was helpful in finding what was in stock and within budget - even through uncertain times in manufacturing/shipping and the resulting inflating costs. As the lead contractor on our project, even though he coordinates many other builds/renovations, Simon was always available to us when we needed to discuss things with him. He kept the project on track work-wise and budget-wise. We appreciated that he was always forthcoming with us in terms of schedule and budget. His ear was always ours when we needed to clarify things or discuss possible changes/extras/deletions as the project progressed. It shows that Simon wants the best possible outcome for Lacey, for his workers, and for the clients. Rachel was the supervisor and lead carpenter on our project - in our home every day for months, coordinating sub-trades and making sure the work was getting done day-to-day, week-to-week. She is skilled and a pleasure to have had running this project. She is always responsive when we have questions or concerns and gets the right people involved if need be. In large-scale home renovations (ours is an 80's home) the unexpected should always be expected. Lacey Construction just finished a large kitchen renovation for us. We decided to go with Lacey because of their reputation in our city and WOW, did they exceed our expectations in so many ways. You want Lacey Construction to build your home! They built two for us, one in 2014 and one in 2020. Both were just what we planned for, finished very professionally, and on schedule. When We show the homes to people almost right away they comment on how professional the workmanship is. Our houses are side by side and both look new because they are built right with the right materials that last. Recently a close family member past away and three key people from Lacy offered any assistance that I required for an celebration of life I planned. What contractor does that well Lacey does. This is our second project using Lacy. This project was more of a 'help us get started and we will finish it'. So Lacy levelled the basement floor and installed insulated Dri-core over the whole floor. They then roughed in some walls and finished a few walls and installed vinyl flooring over the whole floor. We have to finish a room and do the lighting, etc. This was a huge help to us. As it is a cabin that we are only able to get to on some weekends, Lacys crew put us ahead almost a year. Our Project Manager was Simon Poulton and he is always trying to do what the home owners vision is. I talked to him a lot on both of our projects and he always went the extra mile for us. We have a third project in mind and we will be contacting Lacy again for that. The only issue we have ever had is getting the Lacy crews time, they are so popular and there is so much work they are doing. They are Pro's and they have the knowledge and quality to work on your project and meet deadlines and meet budgets and that is what you need. We recommend them.

We had Lacey's do a complete renovation of are bathroom in April of 2017 and they did a very high quality job. So we had them back this last summer to renovate the top floor of are house and also do new windows,siding,insulation and decking. The team at Lacey took our ideas and made them into a beautiful reality. We needed to add a bedroom in our basement, which would involve cutting a new window, creating a new hallway, a new closet and two new doors. In addition there was a plumbing repair, a new bathroom fan to install and and finally cutting another window in our upstairs bathroom. Simon has plenty of construction knowledge and could advise us as to the best way to get things done properly, so they would be functional and look great in our space. He got the right people in to do their part at the right time and he continually kept in close contact with us, letting us know what would be happening next. Anthony and Brady were super nice to deal with and made unbelievably fast progress with framing walls, doors and the windows. Kevin did a masterful job finishing the drywall and man did he get it done fast and clean. Same with the painting, so professional. Rachel and Kevin did an outstanding job with all the trim work. The plumbing repair was well done and the new bathroom fan was installed without a hitch. Alex the electrician was able to rewire the lights without cutting any walls so they make sense in the new configuration of rooms and hallways and also installed the new electrical outlets and forced air heaters, once again expertly and speedily done. Every day when the various workers were done, they always left the place tidy and the work was completed for the price we were quoted. We are happy to recommend Lacey Construction to anyone looking for friendly and expert home renovators.

Lacey Construction were very professional from the beginning. I had a few contractors come through our home before them, so I had an idea what costs were were expecting. Their quote was fair and they used the highest quality products. I could not have found such a great cabinet maker on my own. Previously, we were the "do-it-yourself" types, but with two young children it was difficult to get anything done and we were fed up with our kitchen. Lacey worked well with us to get the renovation done and helped us to keep the costs down by working with us to demolish. Lacey also made custom doors for an under stairs closet that we were hoping for, it turned out really nice. We were very pleased with the customer service and final product. Lacey Construction, is like a breath of fresh air! We had a renovation, to our basement. Living through a renovation is stressful. Having it caused by a flood is even worse! My realestate agent recommended lacey Developments for the painting and renovations that I wanted done to the home we had purchased in Lake Errock. It seemed that getting work done during high season(we took possession July 01 2017), would be an impossible task. I met with the owner and we did a walk through, I had a list and he told me that the renovation department was booked solid for months. However he said he would try and get the house painted which was a major task, and we offered to not move our belongings in until August 01. The painting team were amazing, The workmanship was exceptional and we were astounded at what they accomplished and how professionally they handled everything. At the last minute I asked another impossible task, could we take out the carpet from the upstairs and on the stairs and put in laminate. In 2011 we contracted Lacey Construction to do a knock down and rebuild our newly designed 2600 Sq. Ft. Bungalow here in Tsawwassen, BC. The project had it's challenges, however, Lacey Construction completed the project on time and to the most part on budget. We upscaled some of our original finishings, hence, we went over slightly on our budget. 4 years after the project was completed, I noticed a colour shift on some of the Hardi-Plank siding, Lacey Constr. sent out their Project Manager and Painter to assess the concern we had, they determined that a there was a problem and promptly remedied the issue by repainting the siding in question. Lacey could have told me that the project was outside the warranty timeline, which it was, however, they stood by their good name and remedied the situation. Thank you for a job well done.

Erik did a complete reconstruction and add on to our fifty year old cabin. When it came time for us to make decisions on wood for the ceiling, his recommendation was perfect. Erik also convinced us to go bigger on the deck in the back which with our growing family we are so happy we did. He brought to our attention if we went a little smaller in a passageway we could go bigger in the ensuite. ALl his suggestions and final details like painting and mouldings were done perfectly. We recommend Erik and his crew 100%.

Lacey Construction is by far the most professional and reliable company. They completed this large project on time, and worked closely with us to ensure we were part of decisions/updates/changes. As a non profit agency we appreciated their diligence in being extremely cost effective as the entire back wall including 5 office spaces needed to be removed then rebuilt. Our agency delivers social service programming and Lacey was also very respectful to our clientele through this process. Construction of a wooden staircase down a very steep slope to allow access to an off the grid cabin from a forestry road connection. The staircase is approximately 6 feet wide with railings and involved the construction of three landings. In total there are 75 steps from the very bottom of the staircase to the road access above. The construction crew were excellent. They showed up on time every day and worked diiilgently and efficiently for 5 days to build the staircase. They brought in all materials required and held frequent discussions with me to explain what they were planning to do each day. These discussions were very helpful as I had input into the final design which ensured that they built exactly what I wanted. The end product is marvellous! It is exactly what I required and is a very useful and solid staircase. Well done Lacey Construction Ltd.

We used Lacey Construction for our kitchen/family room renovation because they were highly recommended by our kitchen cabinet maker BOJAN HIGH END KITCHENS. The work was done in May of 2014 and then we decided to complete the living room/dining room area of our house in September of the same year. We are extremely happy with the workmanship and the finished product. Erik Lacey was very well organized and his crew did an excellent job on our renovation. They were always polite, on time,hard working and we were able to stay within budget. If we had any questions his foreman, Simon was always readily able to handle our requests. I have spent a long time considering what I would say regarding my experience with Lacey’s Development Co. I had hoped to be able to say something original but that is impossible when dealing with this A+ company. From the first to the last call Eric was prompt to reply with answers to my questions and a bang on honest estimate that fit my budget. No question was too big or too small. He was always willing to be on site to do a walk through with me, exchanging ideas with myself and his crew. Sometimes I believe he had to be a mind reader to be able to take the vision I had in my head to an actual building. Eric completed this vision with integrity and left me with a building beyond my expectations. It is very hard to find a suitable way to describe how great it was working with Lesa, Erik and their crew of employees and contractors. We started the process of building our cottage shortly after buying the land and asking our Realtor what challenges there might be in building in the Fraser Valley. The project was a total transformation of our rancher including basement, the addition of a cover over our deck, and other outside work. We had Lacey Construction back this year to re-configure our unsafe interior stairs and add a small divider wall in the kitchen area, as well as run a gas line to our BBQ area. The on-site workers Simon and Landon were a pleasure to have around and got the work completed in a timely manner. They were open to minor changes along the way and even allowed me to join in the job as the resident dry waller and painter! Renovation to basement bedroom, and accessible washroom done. Amazed at how the crew kept the work area so clean! respectful workers, kind and courteous to home owners. I was able to get a hold of the contractor easily for questions and or concerns and any changes to the project.
