Laura Lee Designs was founded in 1991 with the idea of providing a high quality array of lighting and furniture for both residential and commercial venues as well as design services. Our distinctive fixtures are elegant yet livable, and designs encompass Contemporary, Mission Style, Mediterranean, Gothic, French and Classical styles; assuring that each piece becomes an individual, one-of-a-kind work of art. Working to maintain the artistic integrity of traditional European techniques, Laura Lee Designs employs the art of hand forged wrought iron to create a stunning array of chandeliers, sconces, lamps and outdoor fixtures. Laura also offers interior design and lighting design to meet both residential and commercial needs. Whether you are renovating your existing home or building a new home or just wanting an update we offer a wide variety of services. We work with licensed contractors and architects to give our clients design build services. Our projects consist of full home design, renovations and lighting designs to create warm, chic and exciting interiors and exteriors. We believe a home should be a reflection of the people who live in them and we take pride in designing and creating spaces that translate a clients needs and lifestyles into reality bringing comfort, style and distinction to there home!

Very poor customer service, especially poor communications. Would not recommend due to length of time project is taking, timeliness of responses and poor communication skills. Over priced.

I sent a picture of a chandelier I wanted made, Laura assured me she could do a fixture to look just like the one I wanted. Telling me she would do a CAD drawing I would sign off and they would begin work. I paid the money up front but I never got the CAD drawing to approve, I emailed and asked about it, she responded saying that they had done a fixture like that before and she was confident it would not be a problem. So they started work on it. I asked if she had pictures of the one they had made and guess what the answer was no. I will say the workmanship was good on the one I got, they just did a terrible job duplicating. The gold one is what she shipped me the "I wanted this chandelier" is what I asked for. There are a few other differences other than color such as the center rod is shorter, the base is bigger than the original which makes the rod shorter. When I got the picture of the gold one I was speechless in disbelief, I sent Laura a message and the picture they sent me and she said the leaves were silver and black that the picture was making it look gold. It came that day I opened it and it is solid gold. You Be The Judge!

We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and are saddened that you are not satisfied with your fixture. Since all of our fixtures are handmade, we endeavor to make every client happy with a unique piece. We did have several phone conversations and email exchanges with you during the fabrication of this piece including one where, after you reviewed several photos, we offered to refund your money and you declined, stating you would like to keep the fixture. We do require a deposit of 50% on all orders (100% on custom work, which we waived in this particular scenario). We apologize for the confusion regarding the CAD drawings. After double checking your order, we confirmed that you were not charged for any CAD renderings.

Again, we sincerely apologize for any miscommunication that may have happened during this process, as it was not our intention.

My firm has had the pleasure of working with Laura Lee Designs on several occasions, the selection, customer service and timelines have all been excellent. Working in the design industry for 30 years, lighting is a critical component of the overall design, I have found the Laura Lee Designs quality, selection and custom process to be superior! Most recently, we had a beautiful island pendant damaged by a plumber by accident and had to order another. My experience with Laura Lee Designs has been wonderful! They helped me through the process of customize design for a dining room light fixture for our clients in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I can't tell you enough how lucky I was to find LAURA LEE DESIGNS. I moved into a home that all the lighting in the house needed updating. Laura's fixtures were a perfect complement to the Santa Barbara Spanish style home I am in. Laura was very involved and I felt as if I was working with a great design team. My items arrived on time, installed by people she recommended. Indoor sconces for living room, hall ways and my master bedroom. Italian glass dining room chandelier's, and a redesigned kitchen chandelier that Laura Did for me. My next project will be my outdoor lighting. I, of course, am hiring Laura and her staff again. She has listened to what my needs are and has made great suggestions. Truly works within my budget with very well made items. Thank you again!
