Mansfield + O'Neil

Our architectural firm, Fergus Garber Architects, has enjoyed several collaborations with Tiffany Mansfield. She is fun to have on projects, and she works collaboratively while bringing fresh ideas to the table too. Tiffany is also reliable; she follows through thoroughly and timely, which is so important to the whole team: the architects, the contractor, and, of course, the client.

We worked with Lisa to remodel our four bathrooms and we had a wonderful experience. She has a great sense of style and we were happy with all her design recommendations. She is also an excellent project manager - very detail oriented and on top of all construction deadlines. Lisa is easy to work with and I would definitely hire her again!

Our only regret is not hiring them sooner! Mansfield + O'Neil solved the problem that a dozen professionals we brought through the space could not. We had a kitchen that didn't function for our family and we spent years trying to figure out what to do with the stairs that prevented us from opening up the space. I had almost given up that this house was capable of having the kitchen of my dreams. Their vision combined with an understanding of our family's needs delivered the perfect solution for our space. Lisa and Tiffany are the ultimate problem solvers. We love our kitchen and we have them to thank!

I met Lisa and Tiffany in 2007 when our family decided to rebuild our house in Menlo Park. I connected with them instantly and was thrilled to have two designers on my project. As I’ve said over and over, The Ladies (as they are fondly known) had my number! Everything they presented to me I simply loved! They were very good about presenting me with materials that were within my budget without compromising quality or design. Specifically, when they presented me with their ideas for our master bathroom materials, they selected glass tiles for 3 walls. Beautiful, but expensive. To offset the higher cost of the glass tiles, they sourced penny rounds for the floor which were very inexpensive. To this day, when people see our master bathroom, they ALWAYS comment on the penny rounds and simply love them. I truly appreciate their planning and thoughtfulness. I think our rebuild was a success because we respected our mutual proficiencies. I am a very detailed, type A personality (I’m an accountant). I controlled and oversaw the entire rebuild with the gusto of a CEO. I remember trying to source lighting on the internet and being totally overwhelmed with all the options and hours and hours of internet surfing. When I tasked The Ladies with sourcing our lighting they took a fraction of the time I’d spent and presented me with amazing fixtures I would never have found in my search. Bottom line, they are the design experts. They do this for a living, I don’t. I admit, being an interior designer has always been a fantasy career for me. But from now on, I will stick with my numbers and leave the designing to The Ladies. We completed our rebuild in June 2008. It’s been 8 years and I can honestly say I LOVE MY HOUSE. It is still so beautiful and classic and when people enter our front door they are simply blown away and comment on how lovely our home is. Over the past 8 years The Ladies have continued to source additional items such as original artwork, wool rugs and finishes to turn our garage into a ‘teen hangout’ room. Lisa and Tiffany are near and dear to my heart and every time I see a finished project of theirs I get the urge to do it all over again.

Lisa and Tiffany were both great and very easy to work with. They are very organized, professional and great listeners when it came to understanding what we were looking for. They took our direction (not a lot of color) and were very quickly able to come up with several options (with different price points) that we liked that fit our more casual lifestyle. They were efficient and accomplished a lot in a short period of time. They paid attention to detail throughout the project (including the budget) all the way to the very end. They were super responsive when we had a problem and it was resolved very timely. We are very happy with the outcome and I would hire them again without question!

Mansfield & O'Neil are extremely talented designers. I hired them to furnish and design our entire downstairs - living room, family room, guest room, kitchen and bathrooms and the final product is beautiful. They were able to interpret the look and feel I was going for and translated that into a set of options which were difficult to choose from. They tastefully brought together the furniture, decor and color choices into an overall flow that makes walking from room to room a joy. Both are consummate professionals who ensured there was strong communication between us. They were flexible, responsive, consultative, and had a strong sense of what would work for my family. When I was uncertain, they were patient, asked good questions, and provided their perspective which helped me arrive at my own. I would highly recommend Mansfield + O'Neil for anyone who wants to thoroughly enjoy their home.

Any review of the images of their work will tell you instantly that they are incredibly talented and dedicated designers. I will focus this review on their personality. Easy to work with, open to feedback, and always professional, they have a way of making you feel like you are a trusted collaborator even as they steer you in the right direction. They were worth every penny in a world that rarely is. I highly recommend their services. Beautiful work.

Lisa and Tiffany redesigned my kitchen, living room, dining room, den and 4 baths. I wanted something contemporary and with a zen feeling and they did it perfectly and made it fun. These women are amazing. Not only are they extremely talented and a complete pleasure to work with, they are down to earth, real women. I am not the most decisive person, and they knew exactly how to work with me and made the experience a real pleasure. Much of the project involves major construction and they seriously held my hand through the process and communicated with the contractor and subs. They even monitored the project when we were away. I cannot wait to have them do more for me because I miss seeing them regularly.

Mansfield and O'Neil helped us with a complete remodel of our home. They exceeded our expectations on all fronts! Originally we had a small galley kitchen, a family room that was too small for all of us to sit in, and an enormous living and dining room that we never used. With the help of an architect, Lisa and Tiffany helped us think through and create a family space that really works for our family. It is no exaggeration to say that our newly redesigned home has changed the way we live. The colors and textures throughout the house are now sophisticated and family friendly. Little things like handles, outlet covers, etc. all received extensive thought and planning and it shows in the final product. Tiffany and Lisa are a pleasure to work with-- professional, friendly, and fun to work with. Lastly, we had a strict budget and really didn't want to go over our number like so many remodels do. Tiffany and Lisa spent hours putting together spreadsheets that helped us understand what our costs would be and where we could cut back if we wanted. In the end, we were able to complete the project within our budget and we LOVE our new house! Thank you Mansfield and O'Neil!
