Doug Smith

Communication is Key, and Tom does this very well. Always updated on what is happening and when. Ours was a bigger job, landscaping, decking, driveway and fencing, all done well, and on time, plus they look after the little things. And it all looks GREAT. 5 Star.

Tom and his team recently helped me with the design and landscaping of my front and rear yard. Tom walked me through the design process, gave me a few ideas and made a few site visits before the quote was done. He was helpful and answered all my questions and took the time to explain why some of the ideas I had might not work, helped me work out what sort of things would suit my place. His team was friendly and checked in with me regularly, even making sure they weren’t starting work too early for me. I am extremely happy with the result, its far better than I thought it could be, and little things like the auto sprinkler systems make it so easy to maintain. I love the use of native plants in the design, and I have had neighbours and walkers by comment how good the place looks. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom.

Tom and his fabulous team, Donny & Christian, brought to life our low maintenance dream garden from our blank canvas which was a tricky, sloping corner yard. The care and thought that went into this project is very much appreciated as it all just works so well. We now have a divine pool and entertainment area, a lush little grassed area, beautifully terraced sandstone garden beds with a cheeky little fernery. The team were terrific to work with and we can only recommend them.

Tom and his team have completely transformed our back yard into a wonderful welcoming garden room the whole family loves . A steep unusable space has been terraced into 3 levels with steps, lawn , plants and a fire pit . We love it . Don, the stone mason has again produced attractive stone steps which match a previous project . Tom listened during our initial meetings and was able to turn our vision into reality .

Tom was able to visualise and take on board the reworking of our back garden. We wanted low maintenance and he was immediately able to plot out our thoughts with a little more imagination! His group of polite workers moved in with little or no hassle! In no time at all, we had a beautiful, new area to enjoy. There was no mess at any time and the job was done in record time. He sorted out drainage and tile problems in other areas as well as always giving advice on plants and how to care for them. We can't recommend Tom highly enough and would be the first at his door for any new area to be reworked. Hi staff were polite and always keen to please. Fantastic and professional landscaper!!!

Tom transformed our ideas into reality. We had a steep sloping front yard, which we rarely used. It is now a tranquil beauty spot with a water feature and soft- scape terraces. It was a fairly big project requiring concreting, retaining walls, steps, removal and relay of outdoor tiles, in addition to electrical cable and PowerPoints for the water feature and outdoor lighting. Tom listened and delivered. His team was both professional and efficient, provided high quality products and finish - and there were no hidden costs.

Our Noosa house has received three landscape makeovers in seven years ! An abundance of plants which grew too vigorously and became shapeless, meant the first landscaper disappointed. The second landscaper had difficulties supplying suitable plant choices for the sea spray/sun exposed gardens, plus a high attrition rate. Enter Tom, of Living Landscapes Noosa....who listened, asked the right questions, and matched our house to the landscaping plans. His stonemason added sandstone works which complemented existing stone. The garden was modernised, pared back, and became low maintenance. Good quality coastal natives and succulents have settled in well the past five weeks, and half of them are flowering too. There is a definite design and shape to all the garden areas- they now flow and direct your eye along. I like walking around the garden, and just looking at it all. Colours of foliage enhance the stonework, and small stones provide a break from previous mounds of barkchips. We appreciate Tom’s focus and attention to detail; you mention something once, and he gets onto it. His staff are courteous and hardworking (Hey, Christian!) some extra works were done with no drama, while the work areas were kept clean and clear. At each stage there was consultation and updates. Future maintenance of our gardens can be done too, if necessary. My husband and I are really impressed with Living Landscapes; a pleasant process, great result. Thank you Tom, for your positive attitude and good design ideas. We highly recommend you to our neighbours and friends.

Tom and his team did a fantastic job on major reworking of our front yard area at Sunshine , it was previously a dead space that needed some major inspiration, to say the least - and of course a pool thrown into the mix. We are stoked with the end product. The entire execution of the landscaping project went smoothly , and also pool building also was seamless with Tom taking the lead once underway to integrate the rest of the landscaping project. From the original concept and plan, our options were communicated clearly and professionally - flexibility throughout the project was key to success and Tom never faltered anytime i threw an unexpected change or a curve ball his way. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering a major landscaping job, or a minor facelift for the front yard.

Tom recently completed the softscaping, planting and turf on our backyard/pool/deck renovation project and we could not be happier with the results. Tom's experience and local knowledge were very valuable in selecting a native planting scheme that blended well with out new outdoor area, while working with the existing landscape elements.
