Pineapple House Interior Design has had the pleasure of working with the exceptionally talented landscape architect Alec Michaelides of Land Plus Associates on over a dozen residential projects. We first engaged Alec Michaelides and Land Plus during summer 2007 just after we purchased a lot for our new home. Having Alec and Land Plus on board at the start of our project was very beneficial because we got all the major decisions right the first time - the placement of the home on the lot, the key access points, traffic flow and the basic landscape hardscape design. The overall landscape design enhances and complements the home design while creating a beautiful, calm environment. And since construction, we've used Land Plus each time we've made improvements. Most recently, Alec and Land Plus helped improve several key areas of our landscape, including a major enhancement to our backyard garden. After touring several Atlanta home gardens during a recent garden tour, I am more convinced than ever that we made the right choice with the Land Plus team. They are professional, have deep industry knowledge, and work well with other service providers. Very well done.

Alec at Land Plus has done many large projects for me over the last 9 years. I saw his work on a neighbor's front yard and found out that Land Plus had designed it. I called Alec because I wanted a similar aesthetic sense of neat, green asymmetry that he applied to my neighbor's yard. I have not been disappointed. Although Alec can do any style, he has always known my particular taste. To put it more precisely, he has helped me define what I was felt subconsciously was the personality of my yard in congruence with the informal stone cottage style of my home. He designed a complete re-installation of my front yard. 7 years later, he designed a covered outdoor room and pool and completely redesigned and oversaw the entire re-installation of the back yard, including moving a 25 year old Japanese maple, which is thriving in its new home overlooking the stone hot tub. He is now getting ready to implement his design of a ligustrum screen and garden between our house and our next door neighbor's. The next phase will be a stepping stone path and fire pit in the very back of our backyard. He has saved me many sleepless night, and I trust him completely to do whatever he thinks is best. I think of him as my landscape therapist, relieving me of angst and indecisiveness by knowing better than I do what is best. If you want it done right, don't hesitate to call Alec at Land Plus.

He met with us to get our input and incorporated our ideas into his plan to create an elegant but comfortable backyard oasis that our entire family can enjoy.
