Merit Remodeling & Renovation

Crooked. From the beginning Merit showed no respect for my home. Beginning with poor workmanship and leaving my home a mess each day. Cigarette butts in the yard and driveway, half drank bottles and misc trash left about, material spills not cleaned up. Merit then poured floor leveler down and didn't plug the large hole in the floor with a large pipe coming out of it and the floor leveler poured into my basement. Some trailed down the wall, some falling directly and splattering over everything around. I reported this damage to Merit 4-8-2019. On 4-9-2019 no one from Merit showed up to work at all that day (someone picked up the trash that Merit piled up and left in my flower bed since 4-3-2019 despite requesting its pickup multiple time to both the office and PM [Merit had charged me for demo on 3-28-2019 but did the ceiling demo 4-3-2019 and left the trash]). On 4-10-2019 Merit dropped off some young kid to clean up the basement damage and he did a horrible job. On the 11th and 12th no one from Merit showed up to work or repair the damage. By 4-12-2019 I complained again about the mess. Finally, Merit hired (2) new people to come in and finish my job on the 4-16-2019. These (2) guys made an attempt to clean it but some mess is still there. Merit did not tell me that they were sending new employees into my home that they had never worked with. That made me uncomfortable. Merit then requested to take another payment on 4-19-2019 claiming plumbing and electrical were complete and I said no, it wasn't. Merit took the payment anyway. The subcontractor still had to move the plumbing from the floor to come out of the wall to accommodate the new vanity. This entries day worth of plumbing work was not done until 4-22-2019 and Merit knew this. The subcontractor told me that is what he told the office staff. The subcontractor told me on 5-7-2019 that Merit hadn't paid him for any of the work he had done and wasn't going to be able to finish the job and 5-8-2019 would be his last day. I was then told that when he told the PM Jason that was wasn't going to continue to work without getting paid, Jason told him to remove my toilet, tile around it, and not to reinstall it so I would have to have Jason come out to my home and put it back. (When they reinstalled the toilet the first time after pouring the floor leveler, it was done poorly and the toilet leaked, which I reported to Merit 4-18-2019).
