Noland Landscape Design

Noland Landscape Design assisted with my landscape design of a major home remodel. Bill listened to my ideas and directions, and incorporated them into a design that incorporated my personal preferences into a cohesive creative landscape project. He has guided my garden from initial design through what is now a maintenance and refinement process. As the neighborhood "walkers" pass my corner, the yard receives rave reviews, thanks to Noland Landscape Design.

In 2016 Noland Landscape Design completed the second half of a project for our property which we initiated in 2013. The 2013 project to our front yard met all of the criteria we would expect of a highly qualified and experienced landscaping firm. Our 2016 project, the installation and completion of our backyard, reflected the same professional quality which we experienced in 2013 (see “Patrick Cone” review of October 2013). Bill added his unique style of inventiveness and creativity with plant selection and care which we admire. Post-installation in July, he made weekly checks on the installation to make sure that each section of plantings was getting the proper amount of water coverage in the summer weather and to ensure all plants had a well-established platform for long-term growth. As the garden matures, we expect to enjoy new seasonal surprises from the plantings he chose for just that purpose. We have worked with Noland Landscape Design for many years and several scopes of work. We couldn't be more pleased with how everything is going and how our property has been transformed. Bill Noland is extremely knowledgeable about NW plant varieties and has a great eye for what plants will look like several years out. His landscape designs reflect that big picture view. Additionally, his understanding of the technical side of landscaping including hardscaping, pruning and irrigation etc.. allow him to help us hire the best various subcontractors that it takes to complete a project like ours. Noland Landscape Design provided design and project magement for our front entry area. Our desire was to create a naturalistic mountainscape with large stone settings. Bill work diligently to realize our design and managed the sub contractors work to completion. He was friendly and punctual, always following up on our many requests in a calm professional manner.

Noland Design has totally redone our property. We gave Bill the green light , no pun intended, to create an atmosphere that fit our style....wow did he make it happen. Bill drew the plans and we all went over the design together and then let him do his magic. The thought in choosing the plants, the placement of the product and the amount of focus Bill put into our project was outstanding. His work was so incredible that our neighbors hired Bill for their landscaping design and installation. We will only work with Noland design going forward. Bill is a tough act to follow. We have used Noland Landscape Design several times over the past 5 years and would highly recommend their services. The most recent projects we have used Noland Landscape for were in 2013 and included: new patio beds to surround our new patio, planting of a green roof on our shed and stream plantings. Bill Noland did a great design for the green roof including: plant height variations, color variations and timing of the blossoms on the plants so there is always color throughout the year. We had plantings redone surrounding our pond/stream that became overgrown obscuring views of the stream and yard. Noland Landscape removed the old plantings, (saving the plants that could be replanted/reused elsewhere) and brought in low height plants in addition to some river rock so the stream and yard are visible and contemporary looking again. Bill and his workers always clean up after themselves and all of the subs he has brought in (sprinklers, stonework, tree pruners) have been very professional & courteous, as is Bill. He is extremely easy to work with and really listens to you when you are explaining your project. His ideas are creative and thoughtful for the specific project.
