OOhh Collection

OOhh is a uniqe danish brand designed exclusively using recycled materials. The Oohh collection incorporates unique Danish design using natural recycled materials. The collection is made from recycled paper, sand, natural latex and cut offs of mahogony wood from the furniture industry in Sri Lanka. All products are 100% water proof. Oohh is designed to inspire. The paper molds are made by women in Sri Lanka, who makes these at home. This gives them the opportunity to care for their children and house while earning money for the household. Fishing is an incredibly important industry in this area, but unfortunately, alcohol is also a serious problem among the fishermen and often the men doesn’t bring any money home. The women are therefore dependent on themselves to make money and with this project, we give them the opportunity. The women are being trained, and as part of a fair trade agreement they are guaranteed the same price per pot, if the make 10 or 100 pots per week.
