Choate Builders, LLC has been building, designing and remodeling homes since 1995. We are located in Norwalk, CT and serve all of Fairfield County, CT. We have a skilled crew of employees and specialty tradespeople to take a project from design to completion. Our Vision At Choate Builders we continuously strive to build a name and reputation as one of the most reliable, professional and courteous remodeling companies in Fairfield County, Connecticut. We have used Choate Builders multiple times and have always been very happy with the results. Paul's design services are definitely worth the cost. Paul is great at listening to your ideas and turning them into a plan. They did an excellent job for us converting a living room and dining room into an in-law suite. The team is honest and reliable. Throughout the project, Paul Choate did a great job communicating status. Whenever there was an issue, Paul made sure we understood the options and made recommendations. I highly recommend Choate Builders and would use them again in the future.

Professional. Responsive. Thorough. Uncompromising in the quality of work. Paul and his team built a deck and front porch that far exceeded our expectations. Plus, he coordinated with the mason for the accompanying patio and walkways. There are many reasons we loved working with Paul from his attention to detail, problem solving skills, professionalism, but foremost, his ability to design what he builds. He is easy to work with, offers options to stay within budget, and adheres to a production schedule. Follow-up post project is excellent! We would definitely hire Paul Choate for any future projects and recommend/refer him to our friends and family.

Choate Builders designed and completed a substantial deck renovation and redesign during the summer of 2018. Paul prepared details plans and incorporated our thoughts to put together an amazing vision incorporating exactly what we wanted. His design and attention to detail was outstanding from the planning phase through construction and permitting. Our deck project included an outdoor kitchen and large roof which were blended perfectly into our existing house structure. Throughout the project, Paul and his team were consummate professionals arriving on time, providing detailed construction plans and keeping on schedule. Paul also did an excellent job communicating throughout to provide us with a great experience and avoiding any delays or added costs. I cannot recommend Paul strongly enough for anyone considering a design or construction project and would definitively use Choate Builders again for any future construction project.

Choate Builders did a full bathroom remodel for us. This was the second time we hired them (first time was to build a deck) and certainly would do it again. Paul and his crew were very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Each day the job site was cleaned up and they were very careful to protect areas of our home that were not under renovation. We had a very ugly old chimney running through the bathroom that we wanted to have dry walled and covered up. This presented a few challenges but Paul, the owner, and his crew figured it out and did a fabulous job covering it up. Paul was always available by phone, email and texts. He always responded immediately. Our contract was clear and detailed. He guided us through the entire renovation and made it enjoyable. I would definitely not hesitate to hire them again.

My wife & I did our research and were confident choosing Paul for our master bed/bath remodel. Paul delivered. He listened to us and created a 3D layout based on our floor plan & objectives. He was flexible and creative, coming up w/ solutions to overcome inevitable project obstacles. Kept the project moving forward. Paul was an advocate to us as clients, allowing for a clear line of communication between homeowner and tradesman. Professional & considerate. Very neat & clean (much appreciated). Seeks to minimize the inconvenience of a project. On-site and in-contact. Never felt out of the loop. Look forward to working w/ him again. And, my wife agrees, so I must be right!

We highly recommend this Builder. Have used them several times: Garage front rebuilt by him-2012/ Excellant work. They have replaced inside doors in several rooms 2015, renovated an old bathroom 2016 and gutted and replaced a tub in another bath 2017 with stand-up showed , washer & dryer as well as cabinets. Wonderful workmanship and truly trust worthy. Door replacements approx. $1500/ 1st bath a[[rpx 2,000.00, 2nd bath roughly 18000.00 all great work. Highly recommend.

From the time we met with Paul Choate for our first consultation on adding a second bathroom to our home, I was immediately impressed with his professionalism and his personality.. His design concept was exactly everything I had described to him in what I wanted. Each member of his crew from the plumbers, electricians,painters were extremely friendly and polite and we felt very comfortable having them in our home, and they would clean up after themselves before leaving for the day. We were treated with respect by Paul and everyone working in our home, and throughout this project, I found it to be a pleasurable experience. We hired Paul and his team to do a major kitchen renovation this past fall. This was a large scale renovation since we relocated a bathroom and laundry area to open up the kitchen and give the house better flow. My husband and I could not be happier with the results! Paul is very meticulous with every aspect of the job ( from the plans to the finishing touches) and expects the same from his team, and his subcontractors. He is always very responsive and willing to go the extra mile to make things right. Most importantly, he is honest and trustworthy! I would not hesitate to hire him for any future jobs. Paul and his crew did a wonderful job on our kitchen remodel! He gave us an estimated time frame which was accurate. Paul was very helpful and patient as we made many decisions on the remodel. His crew were professional and friendly. They would clean up after a days work and kept our living area from dust as much as possible. My brother and sister in-law recommended Choate Builders to us and we would use them again!

I used Paul and his team to renovate 2 bathrooms. I highly recommend them for your home project. The fact that they do great work is a given, but the really excellent part is the service. Communication is great, you are never wondering what is happening when. Paul tells you what you need to know...may not always be what you want to hear, but he will explain clearly and succinctly what you really need to understand about what is feasible and what may not be given the space and the budget. In the end, you will like what is delivered.
