After 14 years with our lovely doors, we recently needed a minor repair on one cremone mechanism. I contacted them, and they fixed it in one day, no charge. Gorgeous doors, good service, great company! Thanks Portalais!

When the door cracked from direct sun, they happily came out and repaired/patched it, blending perfectly. Reassured me that it would be replaced if the repair did not hold up. I would highly recommend this company, they are honest, friendly and have extraordinary work ethic.

I have been considering their fine windows, interior and exterior doors, as well as stone and possibly roof tiles from French lines, but we haven't finalized our order yet. They have been very helpful and are always happy to answer my questions.

I was looking for authentic French windows with cremones and shutters. Portalais can get you the real thing crafted in France. Their windows are beautiful! If you looking for authentic products for your home project, I highly recommend you visit Portalais. Edwin and John are fabulous to work with too. Very professional and always willing to help you with your project.

Our project was complicated by our decision to move to another location. All the material purchased for the original venue has been used successfully at the final location. The staff at Portalais gave us attentive service with helpful suggestions with our plans and we are happy with what we accomplished together.

Portalais is an excellent company. A few years ago, we ordered our front door from them. It is absolutely beautiful and went beyond our expectations. Working with Louis and Edwin is a wonderful experience, They are both very professional, never are too busy to answer a question or email me back with every detail. We have now placed an order for shutters for our home. We look forward to getting these beautiful shutters for our home. I am French and my husband is Italian. Portalais is a great resource for authentic European materials. They use highly skilled craftsmen here in the US and abroad, and only sell beautiful materials. Louis even arranged for us to visit a shop in France that specializes in reproduction doors and cabinets, so we saw firsthand how incredibly accurate, detailed, and well made their products are. Working with Louis and Edwin is pleasant. They're always professional and thorough, and go the extra mile to make the project perfect. I don't know of any other place in the Bay Area that can do what Portalais does for a house project.
