At Richard Lankester Design Consultants (RLDC) we take a hollistic approach to Interior Design and believe that an interior must perform as well as it looks. Our preference for clean lines with uncluttered simplicity and natural elements is evident in our projects. We know we have succeeded when a completed space feels relaxed, comfortable and unpretentious in its completion yet is elegant and stunning to the eye. Each of our projects has been given extremely careful consideration to the given environment for function, form and the client’s individual personality and requirements. We aspire to produce considered, authentic and durable designs through a dialogue between ourselves and the client which creates ongoing trust and relationships. We have worked with most of our clients for many years, and often over numerous and evolving projects. We would love to work with you on your next refurbishment and create your next favourite space.

We started working with Richard and his team in 2017. We were looking to do a major refurb in our office on two separate floors. One of the main projects was to transform our open plan desk space in to a boardroom. Richard came up with wonderful ideas and the result was way above expectations. Richard and the team were highly professional, reliable and always delivered on time. I can't recommend RLDC enough, I will definitely use Richard again for any future projects.

I have used Richard many times in the past 15 years. Everything from a small room transformation, to a full very large home transformation and extension. I have always found Richard and his team to be professional and helpful, beyond your expectations. His understand in of the brief, and his execution of the plan have always been great. We first started working with Richard in 2013. We had bought a new flat off-plan and engaged Richard as the interior designer. The project took a couple of years largely due to the speed or lack thereof of the builder/developer. We found Richard to be thoroughly professional with a very good sense of space and style. He completely understood what we needed and we were extremely happy with the result. In the last year he redesigned the entrance foyer for the building and totally transformed it. Now none of the tenants suffer from Foyer Envy. He is a pleasure to work with. The flat interior project cost upwards of a £1,000,000 and the foyer £90,000.

It was a joy working with Richard and his team at RLDC from the outset. From the minute Richard stepped into our property it was clear he had an exceptional sense of spatial awareness. His solutions to what we were looking for were creative and RLDC showed great flexibility and responsiveness from the outset. They understood the brief immediately and the mix of technical, architectural and interior design abilities were just what we needed. The project management aspects were also exemplary and no issue was too small, or too big, to be handled pragmatically and very effectively. They really delivered on the "wow factor" too and the end result continues to impress us and others in the quality of the finish and overall vision. Kommenteret: gorgeousHi, the consoles were bespoke pieces that were made for us. The mirrors are from a company called Porta Romana who specialise in lighting but also offer some stunning furniture pieces.
