Serenity Design

We had a lovely experience working with the team at Serenity Design! It is truly a one stop shop for everything you’d need in your home. We were originally sent to Serenity to pick out the tile for our new construction project and were blown away by effort put into understanding who we were and the way we’d like our beach house to look. We ended up hiring them to design out house & they picked out everything..right down to the faux plant on the shelf in the corner!

Serenity Design is an extraordinary organization staffed with professionals that capture the essence of your thoughts. They prepare a comprehensive plan with a design theme, layout and furnishings. They develop alternative options relevant to the design. The staff is easy to work with and are well prepared for meetings. It’s a pleasure to work with them and we highly recommend them.

I have worked with Serenity Design on multiple projects and both Victoria and Donna have amazing design sense. My only issue with them was that everything they picked out for me I loved and had a tough time narrowing them to just one. I would recommend Serenity Design to anyone who is looking for an interior designer who will not only listen to them but also voice their opinion without being forceful if they think you are doing something that you will regret.

We hired the company during the pandemic and had issues with prioritizing our home design over some issues with work related priorities. Serenity then basically fired us and made my daughter and I terribly uncomfortable once we were ready to move forward because we couldn’t move forward fast enough. Terrible customer service.

To help us decorate and furnish our new beach house and to offer design ideas as it was being built, we interviewed several Interior Design companies and selected Serenity Design, Donna Grimes, Ship Bottom, Long Beach Island, NJ. Our house is large with many bath rooms, bed rooms, and activity rooms. Donna was great at showing us various options for materials, designs, furniture, lighting, fans, rugs, window treatments etc. She helped solve special problems like a ceiling design to cover structural details, and specially designed cabinetry. She also recommended very good craftsmen and sub contractors. Donna Grimes really cares. She and her staff work tirelessly to find a solution and satisfy her client. We are very pleased with the finished product and our relationship with Donna and Serenity Design.

Donna and her staff are the best. She is so knowledgeable and knows her decorating. She has a eye for color and pattern. She did a fabulous job at my house which came alive with all her suggestions.

I worked with Serenity Design renovating my family beach house. Donna and Victoria knew the emotional attachment I had to the house and made sure that while we modernized and beautified the space, the integrity of the house remained intact. While every renovation project has its bumps, Donna and her team worked to solve all the issues and get the project done on time! They were great to work with and helped my vision of a modern, comfortable, entertaining friendly home come to life!

We had our main living area, kitchen and two baths completely renovated. Donna and her team were creative, easy to work with and extremely professional. On top of that, we were not in the house when work was being done and when we returned to LBI we were thrilled with the results. I would highly recommend Serenity Design and will not hesitate to work with them again.

We moved into a new construction in a 55+ community in Barnegat. During the building process, Donna helped us with selections for our entire house based on what the contractor was offering. I couldn't have done it without her!! She helped us decide what furniture to keep and designed the layout and furnished a lot of our new house. Donna had a vision and everything turned out beautiful. I couldn't be happier with all the selections she made for our new beach house..the layout, colors scheme, fabrics, furniture, lighting.. everything! She is patient and really great to work with! Give her a try.. ..you won't be disappointed!!

I purchased my home on the bay in LBI in March 2017. My first call, even before closing, was to Serenity Design where I met Debbie. We began working together right away. Debbie had a complete understanding of the look we were trying to establish in our home. She understood that we had limited time to be down here and always had great things to show us when we met with her. She also helped us with all the "other" things - plumbers, electricians, cleaners... In just a few short months we were able to move into our home. It is exactly as we hoped it would be - warm, comfortable and cozy, yet still clean and airy. She achieved the look I was hoping for with the perfect balance of beach house/peaceful sanctuary. I could not be happier and only hope that I can convince her to come to Hoboken for my next project! I wouldn't dream of working with anyone else.

Donna and her team helped us transform our beach house into our dream come true. She was responsible for remodeling our kitchen, and decorating our living room right down the the rugs, paint color, chandeliers and couches. She and her team were responsive, professional, and creative. When friends visit they are blown away. Serenity helped us achieve our coastal retreat!

It has been my pleasure doing multiple projects over the years with Donna and her staff. She brings her wonderful creativity and talent to every job and has a keen sense of style and taste while thoughtfully assessing the client's needs and personal desires. While my homes have always turned out beautiful and tasteful, they are also very comfortable, functional & delightfully inviting for all. I take great pride in my homes and thank Donna for making my houses "homes."
