Om os

SF Metalworks is a high-end metal fabrication shop in the Bay Area, specializing in decorative architectural metalwork for both residential and commercial environments. We have a talented team of fabricators, designers, engineers, and machinists with diverse backgrounds and skill sets capable of taking on complicated design challenges. We work with steel, aluminum, stainless, brass, bronze, pewter ... the list is endless. We offer a variety of high-level finishes and use only the best products on the market. We have built close relationships with other quality local vendors and currently have capacities that include CNC mill and lathework, shearing, TIG/MIG welding, forming, waterjet/laser cutting, plating, powdercoating, and more. Our dedication to the finishing process is what sets us apart from other fabricators. Our products do not leave our shop until they have passed a rigorous quality inspection process. We take extraordinary pride in the quality of the materials we use and the finish level that we provide to our clients.

We have used Ron and SF metalworks for several projects on our mid-century home. He is a consummate professional with an amazing sense of design and artistry. In all three projects we approached him with a very loose idea and concept of what we were looking for. In each of those projects he was able to design and create something that more than exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Ron and SF Metalworks without hesitation.

Ron Moore and his SF Metalworks team are excellent to work with, they understand good timeless design, the possibilities of fabricating in metal and potential pitfalls to consider. Their craftsmanship is impeccable and a willingness to really consider all the variables on site that each unique project can pose. In two recent interior stair railing projects, I proposed to Ron the design and style I wanted to achieve. Stair ways are notorious for presenting critical yet awkward twists and turns to get angles and drops looking aesthetically correct, not to mention the fit and finish appealing in an important interior architectural space. The SF Metalwork team achieved exactly what I envisioned, they provided drawings and precise on site verification as all was planned out. And, their schedule stayed in sync with the project's timeline. I highly recommend SF Metalworks.

Ron and the crew at SF Metalworks were a pleasure to work with on both projects our paths crossed. Ron is very knowledgeable, and a good problem solver. SF Metalworks are true metal artisans, and I look forward to working with them on future projects!

Our company has worked with SF Metalworks (Ron) on a number of occasions. The scope of his abilities are wide and his attention to detail is excellent. Shop drawings and specifications are accurate and clear. On the last project Ron designed and installed a blackened steel island hood surround with brass accent which hung from some structural steel (by others.) He provided the design for the attachment detail as well. The hood was over a couple hundred pounds and he installed it without touching the drywall lid above.He can hold his own in the high-end residential construction market. I would recommend SF Metalworks to any contractor looking for a high-end metal fabricator who can hit the mark. Sorry, no photo due to confidentiality agreement.

Having used SF Metalworks in the past, we were confident that they would provide us with a truly beautiful solution to our front porch railings. It was an iterative process that involved a number of design reviews that were handled professionally and promptly. The installation is virtually complete and we are delighted with the result.
