Emily Matles / emagine simplicity

A native of Brooklyn Heights, Emily Matles earned a Bachelor's degree in event planning and communications from the University of Massachusetts before returning to the city to start her own business. Her company, emagine simplicity, helps organize everything from people's closets to their lives. She has custom designed organizing systems for clients, taught organizational skills, and helped people make the most of their living space. As her business grew, Emily found that many of her clients were seeking her expertise as part of their preparation to sell their homes. Her aesthetic sensibility, eye for detail, and creative solutions to optimize space made her a natural stager - helping people present their homes in a way that showcases their maximum value. This work led Emily into a successful career in real estate sales, where she has been able to leverage her in-depth knowledge of the city along with the skills she developed as a professional organizer and stager. In 2013, she joined Douglas Elliman, the largest brokerage in the New York Metropolitan area, and was one of the founders of the Minsky, Matles, Zinberg Team. Working out of the firm's Fulton Street office in Fort Greene, the team has earned consecutive Pinnacle Platinum Awards and Top 5 rankings for Brooklyn. And Emily has built a passionate following among her clients, who rave about her exceptional customer service and willingness to tirelessly champion their interests. But true to her entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to branch out on her own in 2017. The professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail which have been hallmarks of Emily's work as an organizer and stager have served her equally well in the real estate profession. Additionally, her warm personality, patience, and honesty distinguish her from others in the field.
