Sally was amazing for every step of our garden design and completion. She listened to what we wanted and produced a design that suited our needs, budget and experience as gardeners. Our brief wasn't easy, a wildlife friendly semi-formal garden, but she hit the nail on the head. We still have the full colour poster she produced for us. Her relationship with our landscape gardeners meant the construction went off without a hitch and her support in ordering and planting have resulted in an garden we enjoy everyday.

Special Gardens designed a beautiful garden for us way beyond our expectations. Sally fulfilled everything on our wish list even with the garden size restrictions she had to work with. The whole design journey was incredible fast enabling us to crack on with the construction. Sally was on hand to deal with every question that was required from her throughout the construction. We would highly recommend Sally who worked with us to transform our overgrown vegetable patch into a landscaped garden with a large pond- her ability to visualize what could be achieved and to communicate that to both of us was amazing. The planning stage took some time with regular visits 'on site' to check the design was developing as we wanted. She recommended- and then worked with- a team of landscape gardeners to build the design and also suggested the plants we would need. Finally, she arranged for the plants to be delivered to us and meticulously planted the area- treating the plants with such care.

Sally created and visualised a great plan for our garden - based on moodboards and taking into account our tastes and feedback. Then she and her team did all the work, planting - to deliver the garden exactly as planned - it looked stunning in just a few weeks after planting! I would highly recommend Sally.

Having seen many of Sally’s gardens I really wanted to use her for my new garden as I knew she had a good reputation and is very knowledgeable. Sally exceeded my expectations, she is very easy to work with and really understood what I wanted, even though I didn’t! She has created beautiful plans for the garden and she showed me many illustrations of what it will look like which helped me understand and visualise it. She has just arranged and managed the creation and planting and I can’t wait to see it next spring when it all comes to life. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Sally Perigo/Special Gardens created an amazing award-winning garden called Mediterranean Memories that was inspired by her time living and working in the south of France. The beautiful garden was built in the display area of the company I was marketing, as a major feature for visitors to the site to view and in turn inspire them in their own garden projects. I worked closely with Sally, throughout the preparation and build of the garden and found her to be an absolute professional, who is not only truly talented in her design work, but she has a flexible and creative approach to solving problems and bringing the project successfully to fruition, to produce stunning results.

Sally has done a design for a complete re design of our garden. We absolutely love everything about it and we can't wait to see the finished result. We've found Sally great to work with and she completely understood everything I wanted to achieve with the garden from the outset. She set up an ideas board and sent through loads of images and pictures to give me an idea of how things would look as well as plant ideas. We'd recommend her without hesitation.

Sally has transformed my garden from what was a small and dark looking area . Her clever and well thought out design created light and space with the buff Yorkshire stone recommended for the patio area and path. She listened to my vision of what I wanted and has more than exceeded my expectations. I now have the garden of my dreams and feel very lucky to have found Sally at Special Gardens.

I used Sally from SP gardens to help me design the garden at my new house. I was really worried that I was cutting an already small garden in half to create parking and the piece that it would leave me with would be too small to be usable and wouldn't be worth getting a designer in for. Sally was brilliant she helped me see that a small garden was even more important to get right as it could make all the difference and with clever design we could make it look beautiful, what I especially liked was that she really listened to what we liked and disliked in gardens and didn't try to foist her personal preferences on her so we got exactly what we liked straight away and the design looks fabulous. I can't wait to get started next Spring when the house renovations and driveway are finished and she comes back to make the design a reality. Sally has only charged us for the design so far and part two will be next Spring. It is now August, the job is complete and I couldn't be happier. I opted for the full project management service, which meant that I didn't have to worry about a thing until it was all finished and although this cost a lot more than the ‘stand alone’ design service, I believe I have made considerable savings as Sally was able to use her knowledge and contacts to get me better prices, she saved me a lot of time/effort and supervised the tradesman and quality of everything that arrived as well as giving me a detailed plan of how to look after each of the plants in the future. I commissioned Sally Perigo to design a dry garden for my new property, as I had seen and admired other gardens she had designed in the area , and knew her reputation for original and good design as well as efficiency. I was not disappointed; she produced excellent computerised plans within a short time, plus planting suggestions, as well as researching water features and suitable rocks and gravel for the project. The work started shortly thereafter and all went to plan, with Sally on site. I am delighted with the result, although it is early days yet for the plants. I wholeheartedly recommend Sally's company.

Special Gardens were responsible for turning my small courtyard in Beausoleil, France into a calm oasis of peace and tranquility. It was extremely important to get the proportions, colours and feel just right, as it is a very small area, and SPG managed to do just that. The garden needed to be low maintenance, as I am away a great deal, with a focus on indigenous plants, textures and variegated shapes. They managed to achieve the look and feel I wanted, and I now spend many pleasurable and peaceful hours in my courtyard whenever I am there. I would recommended Special Gardens very highly - they are extremely professional, competent and knowledgeable, and they complete projects within the allocated budget and timeline, no matter how big or small the project. In short, they know their stuff!.

We commissioned Special Gardens to design and manage our project in the South of France. From the first evaluation of the site, Sally interpreted our requirements with a full and sympathetic analysis of what we hoped to achieve. This was then tempered by Sally's absolute knowledge and understanding of the region and it's climate. Her recommendations for planting was outstanding and reflected both our personal style and the practicalities of the the garden. We were astonished to be presented with beautiful hand drawn plans at the end of the project. Sally has created a low maintenance, contemporary garden which flourishes even in the most adverse of conditions and she consistently worked with us to ensure our vision was accurately delivered. Sally took control of the project by sourcing the plants and managing the builders and landscapers. The net result was a hassle free experience . I would highly recommend her to any prospective client
