We cannot speak more highly of Sun Design. We have a small cape cod built in 1945 and wanted to open up our living room/kitchen space, and redo the bathroom, but we weren't interested in doing an addition. We also wanted to fix the stairs going down to the basement so they were no longer dangerous. This was no small project! It was a whole main floor renovation. The design team really listened to what we wanted and we worked closely together to come up with a design that fit our needs. Every step of the process was so well managed and every contractor that came in was professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. They communicated constantly with us to keep us abreast of any issues (which we really didn't have) and completed the project on time and in budget, as promised. We absolutely love our finished space, it's gorgeous!

Our new addition wouldn't have been possible without Sun's imagination and creativity.... They solved a host of design/budget challenges and we ended up with a beautiful, enjoyable space. Sun worked with us on every detail, their on-site crew and project manager were professional, capable and detail oriented. They ensured we were happy and satisfied at every turn.... Sun Design has been a wonderful, responsive company to work with. Five years ago, Sun Design did an extensive renovation to our 50 year old house, adding an award-winning outdoor living area. Recently, they quickly responded to our request for additional work to be done to enable us to put the house on the market. Maryam and Jeff are the best!

We reviewed three different Remodeling companies and selected Sun to redo our Master Bathroom. The design team was top-notch in helping us pick out the right tile, cabinets, and paint to make the bathroom pop. The remodeling team was professional and did a great job in keeping us informed about what would happen when. They also kept the work area clean and tidy. I highly recommend them.

We've worked with Sun Design on two separate occasions - the construction of a detached garage/patio area and the redesign/conversion of upper floor bedrooms/closets. Both times with team was professional in both the way they communicated with us as well as during the construction. The finished jobs exceeded our expectations, and we felt well-informed throughout the process. We would certainly use Sun Design again and would certainly recommend them.

We highly recommend Sun Design. When we purchased a new home we were interested in a substantial kitchen renovation. From the first meeting we knew we were in good hands! We appreciated that Sun Design provided a one stop shop from their designers, to builders, to the warranty team. The meetings were fun and collaborative. We felt confident in our choices and never rushed. They took the time to get to know our house and our family’s needs and preferences very well. After which, they provided three creative solutions at different price points. There was great communication during the 5 month onsite renovation and we were able to stay in our home the entire time as they had promised. The on site team treated us and our home very well, and always made themselves available to answer our questions. When a few small surprises came up they offered seamless solutions. We have received glowing comments on the kitchen, not only from family and friends, but also from trade professionals who have come to our home for unrelated jobs and commented on the high quality of the work done on our kitchen. Sun Design has substantially increased the functionality of our entire main level. They created a dream kitchen in a relatively small space, at the same time accenting what we already loved about our home. We look forward to many years of enjoying the space with our family and friends, with Sun Design to thank!

We used Sun Design to convert our existing deck into a screened porch. The whole process was much easier than we had anticipated. The designer Maggie and the engineer Kacey involved us from the beginning. We created a Pinterest board with our ideas for the porch, and they used those in the design planning. They presented the design with several options - different roof lines, adding square footage, etc. - so we could pick and choose which things to include in the design. The construction process was led by Jordan, who was great about checking in with us and keeping us up to date. The crew did a great job of tidying up each day as well. We absolutely love our porch and absolutely recommend Sun Design for your home renovation projects!!

Sun Design did a great job throughout design and construction - listening to what we wanted and delivering on time. They developed creative solutions to design challenges. They were very professional and easy to work with. Jordan was a fabulous onsite manager. The construction quality is superb. Sun Design checked weekly on our satisfaction and always strove to improve or quickly correct any issue that came up.

Sun Design built a sunroom addition to our house in 2021. The new sunroom included Pella Lifestyle casement windows. In 2022, we decided to replace several other windows in our house to match the new Pella windows. We ordered the new windows through Sun Design and contracted with Sun Design to remove the old windows and install the new windows. We also asked Sun Design to build a custom window stool and apron that would provide decorative space where we could put plants and pictures. Jeff and Louis did a great job removing the old windows, rebuilding the framing and installing the new windows and sill. The project was completed quickly and the windows look great. In addition, the Sun Design team was organized and cleaned their work area each day. I highly recommend Sun Design for their remodeling services. Michael H.

We've done multiple projects over the years with Sun Design for two of our homes. It's a worry-free experience because they manage everything and bend over backwards to make sure you are happy! Any problems that might come up are handled expediently. The Sun Design team wants happy clients, and especially repeat clients, so you can rest assured they will take care of you. We are thrilled with our most recent 2-story remodel - it has turned our home into our absolute dream home!

Kommenteret: What kind of flooring did you guys use for this beautiful basement ?Good morning mhargil. The flooring is Bruce Engineered Oak, in Butterscotch finish (not shiny). They were 3/8" x 5". Good luck!
