I have had the pleasure of working with Susan on two bathroom remodels. She is an excellent communicator and her attention to detail sets her apart from the others. Her expertise with the Dura Supreme cabinet line enabled us to design a cabinet that is beautiful and also functions well. Susan Lund and Jennifer Flax offer years of design experience that can fully support your creative process as well as bring new ideas to your table. We have completed two very different “down to the studs” kitchen projects in Sleepy Hollow and Lucas Valley with them. The two projects turned out beautifully and are anything but cookie cutter. The two kitchens fit beautifully with the architectural styles of each house and surrounding environments. I hired Susan Lund and Spacial Design to rethink my kitchen space - I believe that's what "Spacial Design" is all about. I wanted someone who really understood a workable flow, increased storage, brought a fresh eye, and was experienced in bringing a pleasing balance in the cabinetry. Susan checked all the boxes. She also knew immediately that I needed more lighting, which she balanced as well. I did order my cabinets through Susan (she reps a few lines), which was a good decision. They are beautiful, and having her be responsible for the order meant that I could focus on other things. Susan did not make any decisions on my finishes, and I didn't expect her to. What was super helpful though is that she and her assistant Jen were very generous is sharing their fantastic resource references, including contractor resources. I would hire Susan and her team again should I need to re-imagine any living space. I am delighted with the project outcome. Polly, Corte Madera, CA. .

We have worked with Susan Lund and Jenn at Spacial Design in San Anselmo on the 3 different projects. We wouldn’t work with anyone else, they are fantastic! Susan listens to what you want and gives you additional ideas for things you might not have thought about. She worked great with our contractors and subs. The cabinets are really good quality and have held up great for years. Please give her a call, it will be worth your time.

Susan Lund with Spacial Design was a pleasure to work with. She is very knowledgeable, creative and detail oriented. She ordered a cabinet with a custom stain shipped for my approval prior to ordering cabinets. She was also happy to share information and contacts for various vendors, like for slabs, tile, and fixtures. Susan responded quickly to any communication via email or phone. Susan took my ideas and turned them into a stunning design that matched exactly what I had in mind. The contractor and their crew did an incredible job bringing the design to life, paying attention to every little detail and showing off their top-notch skills. Throughout the process, communication was great, and they managed the project flawlessly. I can't recommend this team enough! My kitchen remodel was an incredible experience. She was happy to help us with any selections that needed to be made. My husband often wanted one thing while I wanted another - Susan worked with both of us until we came up with a solution. We first started working with Susan many years ago when we remodeled our home. She designed the kitchen, 3 bathrooms, family room and laundry room. The cabinetry still looks great after all these years, very good quality. Recently we worked with her again on an investment property. She is just delightful to work with and her design choices are impeccable. She helped us with appliance, tile, countertop and paint selections as well as the kitchen design and cabinets. She has an innate sense of what works well in what space. The new kitchen is what everyone who comes into the house LOVES. The cabinets are extremely well made. There are so many little extras like the divided silverware drawer, the cooking utensil drawer, spice drawer, vertical storage, etc that are so functional and helpful to have a good flow in the kitchen. Susan listens to what YOU want, gives suggestions that you wouldn’t think of, recognizes budget and time restrictions, has wonderful style and decor sense, and works really well with other subs. She responds to calls or texts promptly and is always available for a quick question. She makes the whole process SO much easier!

Susan and her team really helped us build our dream kitchen. From the get-go, Susan and her team were attentive, responsive, and so easy to work with. She and her team helped us draw up plans for our contractor, and come on site multiple times to ensure that there were no miscommunications. The actual kitchen cabinetry took quite some time due to the pandemic, but Susan kept us up to date on the progress, pushed the timeline as much as she could, and always assured us during times of logistical instability. When some of the cabinetry showed up damaged, Susan worked to have those pieces re-delivered for us, and put us in touch with her repair person to touch up minor dings and scratches. She and her team also had a really organized method of checking the delivered cargo, and her colleague Jennifer helped us keep track of all the delivered numbered boxes (there were a lot of boxes!). Post installation, there were some minor issues and replacements were always handled quickly. We are very excited to work with her again in the future!

We had a couple mishaps and she corrected the problem immediately and with ease. She has a peaceful, can-do attitude, listens and creates just what you imagined. We enlisted Susan’s help on a whole house remodel and she has been invaluable! With Susan’s oversight of the project and design suggestions, we we’re able to confidently stay out of town while the work was completed. Susan recommended a whole a new layout for the entry of our home which was a huge change for the better. She also designed the floor plan for an unfinished guest house and helped layout and choose finishes for the bathrooms and kitchens in both our main and guest house. We love how everything is turning out and we couldn’t have done without Susan and her team!

I initially hired her to do the elevations of my bathroom but I came to rely on her expertise and she then designed the cabinets for my kitchen. Her team is so customer-focused and really took a lot of the details off my plate, especially with cabinet measurements and the organization of the space! Because of that we were able to order cabinets and fixtures right away and move on to other items on our punchlist. She also had ideas for surfaces I had never thought of which brought our kitchen/bathroom renovation up to a whole new level of modern and sophisticated. Susan and Jenn were always responsive to my urgent needs - like paint color and hardwood floor stains. My review is late in coming but my kitchen, family room and laundry room (including a bathroom) were remodeled over 10 years ago and are still perfect for me in every way. The kitchen design is super functional and the finishes are timeless and I could not be more pleased with the work done by Susan who also supplied all the cabinetry. She helped me find a great contractor who completed the job within the deadline and budget and has since done two other projects in our home as well. One of those projects was a hall bath that was also reimagined by Susan to make it more modern and offer a separate tub and shower rather than the original combo.

Susan was amazing to work with on the remodel of the kitchen at the home we are renting. We needed a quick turn around on the design and ordering of the cabinets. Susan was able to provide efficient consultant and design and keep the project on schedule...and was able to do this with a keen eye for color, style and overall design that would work with the house (Victorian) but modernize it as well. One of the things that we greatly appreciated working with Susan is her ability to steer us in the right direction when we wanted something that was dated or wouldn't look right. Susan and Jennifer were great to work with on our kitchen and bath remodel. Susan is fantastic at looking at a space and coming up with layout options that got the most out of our space. She took the time to understand what we wanted, had a very good way of steering us toward better ideas than our own original ones (and was always right), and she was always available to consult with regarding various aspects of the remodel. She really went above and beyond to help.

Working with Susan Lund is a pleasure. Her expertise and confidence is evident in every comment she makes. I appreciate her willingness to direct the entire project and hire all the subs, or work with the client's choices for contractors and subs, and even let the client manage the project if they want to. During the first meeting, Susan posed questions about the location of my knife drawer (nowhere near where I used the knives) and made excellent comments about grouping kitchen items in a much more intelligent way - I rearranged parts of my kitchen that day, and we hadn't even started the remodel! Susan has wonderful taste, and knows when and how to direct a client to a decision that they will love, and is also willing to step back and work with a client's idea that the client is attached to. She has the ability to simply redo surfaces to create a whole new look, or work with architects and contractors to move walls, and create a whole new room. It is no wonder she wins awards, and her clients all highly recommend her.

Working with Susan and her staff was truly a pleasure. Our home is 60 years old and the kitchen and dining room needed a complete make-over. Susan made it happen. Her expertise in cabinets and years of experience gave me the confidence to trust her in areas I just did not know what I wanted. Other areas where I was set in my ways, Susan was able to step back. The outcome is 100% satisfaction!! From our first meeting in January to final sign off by city inspector was 9 months. Susan Lund helped us break out of an 8-year-long conversation about what was wrong with our kitchen — smack in the center of an open-plan house — and find the recipe to make it work for us. She showed us alternative layouts, worked through nuts-and-bolts space planning, and delivered measured drawings for the custom cabinets. Susan and her team know how to listen to our ideas but keep their eye on the practical goal. The outcome? Now three people can cook together, instead of one, with minimal structural changes. Susan Lund is a designing genius. She earned her stripes on her first visit. She looked at our old kitchen and our initial design and immediately suggested a major improvement that gave us the perfect 9-ft island design. She worked seamlessly with our General Contractor and architect. She created detailed drawings for the new kitchen, laundry room, and two bathrooms. She guided us through tile, countertop, cabinet, lighting, flooring, and appliance decisions. She really knew her stuff. Cabinets were a big decision. She was well connected with quality fabricators and provided samples and expertise on site that made it easy. She designed a very ergonomic kitchen that works. Finally, she was there on moving day to place everything in the optimum spot. We highly recommend Susan Lund and Spacial Design!

Susan Lund designed our Kitchen, Entire upstairs, Master Bathroom, Guest Bathroom, and Laundry Room when we moved to San Anselmo. Her work is beautiful, extremely functional and she facilitated all phases of work, which was invaluable to us! She was extremely patient while we were wavering on critical choices and she has been extremely assessable to help us work through every last detail. The final product is exactly what we envisioned and we have been extremely happy with her and the work of her team. We will absolutely work with Susan when we complete the rest of our house!!

Susan helped us remodel our kitchen starting from bare studs. Taking our input she produced complete design drawings suitable for contractor. She then led us through various cabinet choices, showed us samples and colors, and handled the orders. She tools around to suppliers of lighting, stone and counters in our area. When everything came together it looked great.

We learned of Susan through our architect. We contacted her and set up an appointment. Our (old, tired) kitchen in a 1920's SF complex needed a lot of tender, loving care...as well as a complete update. We told her what our desires were as well as our budget. Susan came back to us in a timely manner with three different designs -- all beautiful. It was tough to choose the one we liked most of all. The cabinets she designed and ordered were of the highest quality and fit so well in the kitchen. Susan worked very well with our contractor too...she's a real professional. We are very pleased with Susan's kitchen design. It fits perfectly into the integrity of the rest of the apartment and complex.

Hands down, the single BEST decision we made was to hire Susan Lund of SpacialDesign! She really takes the time to explore what you want AND need, while keeping a tight fist on your budget. She was courteous, solution oriented, available, professional and a true delight with which to work. After our ten month "courtship", I now consider her not only our designer, but a friend. You'd be silly not to hire her and Jenn for your project. We took our contractor's advice and hired SpacialDesign on the spot at our very first meeting! I honestly couldn't imagine how to have achieved such amazing results and home-happiness without them. Simply a STELLAR team on all accounts!

Susan designed our kitchen which has been a dream come true. The kitchen came out fabulous, functional and so delightful to cook. We have a 9ft+ island that faces a bench seat and has a separate fridge & freezer behind it. Susan helped with spacing and flow which has worked so well. Flow is important in our kitchen because everyone, guests etc... always hang out in this space. So its design, color, counter-tops and function was crucial and Susan came through remarkably. Equally important was our cabinet hood had a crack. Susan continued to assist us in making sure this was dealt with and fixed to her outstanding standards. I think it is important to note, Susan had been paid in full. But her work ethic and integrity is impeccable and therefore she did not let us down in her diligence to make sure this issue got resolved. We recommend her in the highest regard.

Susan was awesome to work with. She handled the complete overhaul of my kitchen remodel. Excellent ideas to maximize space, function, and design. Great attention to detail and always followed up. Susan also provided sound recommendations for contractors for the various types of work that had to be done. If I ever had to remodel another kitchen, I would definitely choose Spacial Design again!

Susan designed our new kitchen, which is was a complete remodel. She helped us choose our cabinetry, the drawer and cabinet organizers and recommended the best placements for each. Susan is incredibly thorough and detail oriented and very honest in recommending products that are essential and those that are not. Susan is very patient and easy going, which makes a normally stressful process actually fun! Our kitchen renovation was the only project where, when it was completed, we didn't want to change a thing; it was perfect, in both aesthetics and function. Shortly after we finished our kitchen, we put our home on the market and it sold the very first day it was shown! The buyers fell in love with our kitchen. We would highly recommend Susan to anyone contemplating a kitchen remodel.

When we bought our house it had one major drawback - a tiny crumbling pink and maroon bathroom in the master bedroom. By adding a small unused closet and moving the door frame, Susan transformed the bathroom into a gorgeous and luxurious master bath with spa tub, glass shower, two sink counter and lots of storage. The overall square footage is not large, but the room feels spacious and looks fantastic. Susan also has a keen eye for detail and really understands what her clients want. Her suggestions for finish and color were perfect. It is now the room that we most want to show off!

We had our kitchen and bath remodeled several years ago, and were very happy with Spacial Design's services. Susan attention to detail and precise measurements were flawless. We love her organizational skills and was spot on in organizing the placement of drawers, doors and cabinets in our new kitchen. We are enjoying the ease of working in our kitchen on a daily basis. Our kitchen has also become the hub of my Holiday Cookie Day, which involves 6 of us baking literally thousands of cookies, our many large family meals, and my daughters baking experiments. We also appreciate Spacial Design's customer service. On delivery of our new cabinets, a couple of them were damaged in transit. Susan immediately took care of the problem and had new cabinets expressed to us. Also measurement was wrong on one, and her carpenter took care of the problem in a timely manner. We were pleased with everything Spacial Design had to offer. Thank you!

We worked with Susan on our extensive kitchen remodel. We had a general idea of what we wanted to do and Susan was able to provide a great design plan for us. We picked one of the three design choices Susan presented. She also worked with us to tweak the plans as we went along. Susan was always available to answer questions with regard to the plan, appliance and material choices, layout etc. Susan also recommended a great structural engineer for us. We were very happy with the results and love our new kitchen.

Susan Lund helped us design an amazing kitchen. From our initial consultation through the completed remodel she was very attentive and attuned to our needs. Throughout the process we felt like we had an advocate looking out for our best interests. She listened well and took all of our desires to heart to come up with the kitchen of our dreams making it functional, beautiful, and a place for friends to gather. Our kitchen was completed over 5 years ago and we still love every aspect of our kitchen every day.

Susan designed our home office and our kitchen. In the office we added countertops, cabinets, file cabinets, and keyboard trays. It turned out great! We were able to have 4 workstations and it had everything we needed. When we remodeled out kitchen we ended up changing the majority of the first floor. We added a huge walk in butlers pantry, changed the location of all appliances and sink. We were extremely happy with Susan's designs and she was very helpful in every aspect of the remodel.

Used Susan's service on two different large projects, and she was excellent on both jobs. First, we used Susan for all the cabinets and kitchen planning on a 5,000+ square foot Tiburon estate. On the second effort, we remodelled a downtown SF condo and Susan did the work of an architect, creating all the required building plans, while providing a large volume of cabinetry in almost every room. A pro and great to work with!

Working with Susan was a delight and I highly recommend her! We worked with Susan on remodeling our two bathrooms. She worked closely with us to understand our functional desires as well as our personal taste and style. She is an expert and made recommendations we would have never come up with on our own. She was able to take our ideas and make them so much better! She also saved us from making a couple big mistakes. I felt confident in every decision after reviewing it with Susan. I also love her sense of style, creativity and flair. And the end result is beautiful! Never thought my bathroom would be my favorite room in the house! She is also extremely easy to work with...very responsive, hit every time commitment, and always over over-delivered!
