The Shade Shop provides excellent service from beginning to end, and a very high end product. Their employees were great at helping me figure out solutions for some tricky bay windows with slanted mounting surfaces. The shades are super high quality, and the motorized ones work like a dream. Excellent customer service.

During the height of the quarantine and pandemic while locked up in NYC, I needed to manage a project in Houston. the people at the shade shop were incredibly helpful, courteous and professional. They were able to fabricate and install a drapery rod for a curved glass wall as well as another rod to hang an antique rug. They needed to change the existing sleeve on the rug in order to hang it so took it away, fixed it and brought it back in one day. This would never happen in NY! Very pleased with the service I got as well as the pricing.

When I wanted solar shades for my home I went to the Shade Shop because of their long time good standing and reputation. I wanted to make sure my shades were ordered correctly. It was the right decision. They came out perfect. The Shade Shop has long time employees who have decades of experience. Jim Schultz was extremely helpful to me, very knowledgeable and patient. I made numerous trips to their store before ordering and I was very impressed with the amount of time Jim spent with me and his attention to detail. The installers were very good and again spent time at my house explaining the product to me. I would highly recommend the Shade Shop. Bill M

The Shade Shop provided the expertise and honest feedback to help us selecting shades for our new house within a reasonable budget. They delivered on time and paid attention to our comments all along. The install was not as flawless at first, but the owner and his staff reacted promptly and efficiently to get to the right end result.

I love my new interior wooden window shutters from The Shade Shop! From initial inquiries with different companies, The Shade Shop's staff were professional, knowledgeable and good to work with. I love that it is a family business which has been in operation since 1918. Even though I found lower estimates with other companies (who also wanted full payment upfront!), I trusted the knowledge of the staff/owners and examples of products at the Shade Shop's showroom. My shutters were just installed and are absolutely beautiful, solid and give my house such a new and lovely look. The installers were professional, gracious, hard-working and did the job with excellence. I couldn't be happier, and I would highly recommend the work of The Shade Shop to others.

The Shade Shop installed wood shutters in our home in Katy then our home in Houston as well as our Beach House. The quality of the product is great and their installers do wonderful work and were very neat & clean. They also installed a motorized shade for our patio and Phantom Screens and did a great job. I would not consider using any other company.

I have used The Shade Shop for 3 of my homes to dress approximately 40 windows (and counting!). Treatment types have included plantation shutters, valances, Roman shades, Duette pleated shades, blinds, roller shades, and Phantom Shades. The Shade Shop extends an unparalleled level of professionalism from start to finish and beyond. Based on the style of my homes, they have offered suggestions (even if I have something else in mind), not only making the selection process efficient but often optimizing my decisions. The purchase and installation process goes smoothly. And, they back up their work, in the rare event of any concerns (mostly related to my own OCD!). We just bought a weekend home and will be using them soon for that, as well as any future homes. We also recommend them to friends and family, who have been equally pleased. Very nice in this day and age to have a quality service provider!!

I had an excellent experience with The Shade Shop from beginning to end. I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but their showroom had tons of gorgeous options on display. Their staff was really helpful in telling me the advantages of each product and what window coverings work best in different types of rooms. The staff definitely has an eye for design as well and helped make my decision easier. From there, someone came out and took exact measurements for me - he was very nice and professional. When the installers came to put in my shutters and blinds, they did a wonderful job and completely cleaned up after themselves. I am completely in love with the shutters - they make my house a home!
